Making A Terrarium For FREE!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I’ll show you how I make a terrarium for free using collected plants, moss, soil and stones. Even the glassware was free meaning this terrarium cost a grand total of £0! This is an easy terrarium to make and in this terrarium guide, I will thoroughly explain the process from start to finish. Making bottle gardens doesn’t get easier than this.

    I named some of the mosses I used but I'm not 100% sure about them. If you know what they are, comment below!

    Love your channel! I did use some moss from north side of my home and it is doing well in terrarium but I have noticed there are small flies/gnats flying around now. Is terrarium ruined or is there anything I can do to kill flies/larve?

    @@WorcesterTerrariums Something else I'd mention, if you don't wash off the wild plants or anything else going in, those hitchhikers might actually make for a perfect ecosystem. Sometimes there's small millipedes, centipedes or other predators that will prey on smaller animals that will also be in that system like isopods so their numbers don't go out of control.

  • @trippyhippy2110

    @trippyhippy2110

    Those same isopods will help with decaying plant matter just like springtails, and help the ecosystem self sustain.

    Is it necessary to press the moss hard against the substrate? Is it a problem if the bottom soil of the moss isn't touching the substrate completely but partially?

  • @WorcesterTerrariums

    @WorcesterTerrariums

    Hi Arif, I wouldn't say it's important to press it hard but you'll want to firm it in place.
