wow, that was relaxing to watch. Loved it all. Combine that with the rebate plane on the last video and you are well kitted out.

I love the way the wood types compliments each other by contrast. Stunning 👍 I noticed some camera shakiness (I used to struggle with that too). So i changed that. If you’re interested, I have a video on how I made my new camera/phone stand. It’s very versatile and I use it exclusively for filming. But most importantly, it eliminates shakiness. And now that you have a router planer it’s even more convenient to make 🙂 Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm with us 👍

Thanks very much, the wood contrast was my favourite thing about the build in the end! Amazing how the simplest things can bring the most joy. Thanks for recommending a way to stop the video shakiness, I'll check the video out!

Thanks for the comment, a depth stop is a great idea, I'll have to look into how to do it.

Nice video! It’s a real treat to see projects like this so well shot. Thanks for sharing! I hope you won’t mind if I offer a couple of constructive comments on technique: Please consider stiffening your workbench or putting it on level ground - you’re using energy moving the workbench that could go into your planing. Maybe experiment with slightly less downforce on your sawing to see if you get the same cutting with less effort. That’s it. Thanks again. I look forward to seeing your future projects.

Hi, thanks for the comments and the advice! You are so right about the workbench, it was meant to be temporary and its not quite suited to purpose, I'm drawing up plans at the moment for a better one (and trying to convince the Mrs to let me buy the wood! haha). I'd never thought about the saw downforce before, I'll give it a try! Thanks for the tips and please do stick around and offer any further ways you can see for me to improve :)
