I made this router plane
Ғылым және технология
It would be an exaggeration to say that you need to have a router plane. Most things it can do can also be achieved with other tools, although maybe less perfectly. Nevertheless, I have always wanted one.
A wooden router plane can be made fairly easily but I wanted to make one from metal. I find it hard to overlook the resemblance between a T-section steel bar and the little Stanley No. 271 plane, so I took the challenge and carved one from piece of construction steel. I am quite pleased with the result and it works really well.
But see for yourself!

Bright, real, brilliant, awesome. Don´t ever look back, my friend... And don´t even care about possible negative comments...Because of you, that´s why so many people in this planet became sharp and wise about what they expecting from their futures... providing that they want to follow your steps...as simple as that... And your "excuses" are very welcome, regarding people who don´t know the "how to"...But let´s face it, life it´s only hard for the ones who are soft...regarding my opinion, you are showing me the other way to do the job, and that´s enough for me ...You are a champ, that´s wht you are , and you have all my sincere respects, because I can see a good person , by the way thigs come to "light" as you did...God bless you.

When bending steel you should warm it properly to at least red hot because steel is fragile in 300-400°C. So don't be a "smith of cold steel". Anyway, nice design and well executed using just basic tools. You know how to use file which is quite rare these days
A file, a hacksaw, a drillpress and sandpaper... awesome craftsmanship. You are an inspiration!
In these days of CNC machines, its good to see someone that's able to use a file and a hacksaw! - well done!
As a teacher of metalwork I give 10 out of 10 for this project, an excellent demonstration of techniques with an end result to be proud of. Only one small observation, always use a brush, not your fingers to remove metal filings from your workpiece, this will prevent painful metal splinters,

Does the blueing prevent rust? Or is it purely cosmetic?

Excellent work. People don't realize how much can be done with basic tools.
Великолепная работа. Очень показательно для молодых, что можно обычными средствами сделать инструмент не хуже, чем на фрезеровочном станке. НО! Его зато можно передать внукам и гордится:"Дед сделал!". ))))
it was a pleasure to see this video. the fact you did this with tools most DIYers have on hand. Fantastic work.

Much respect for all the hand finishing work! Looked good.
As a kid learning woodwork we didn't have routers, they weren't invented just yet, we used these, the grannies tooth plane. They are very effective.
absolutely outstanding, in a few moments I learned so much ! thanks for the pedagogy and clear explanations.

Fantastic
ахрененный грунтубель!
Fine looking work. Also I’m going to need an affiliate link for that hacksaw blade. 🤣🤣
Beautiful work without the help of a CNC !!!!!!!!
Imagine needing to build a router plane
very nice. Well worth the time I spent watching. Its always a pleasure seeing quality, much of what we see today is for the mass market and those people don't appreciate those of the master craft. Thanks RC
This is fantastic work. 👏 this has been in my list to make for a while.
Outstanding, what a result. You have also taught me loads, thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This router plane looks more solid than what’s available to buy out there
Ingenious! Well done!
Stunning inspirational project! Great work!
Отличный пример того, что хорошие вещи можно сделать вручную, не дожидаясь УШМ или даже ЧПУ.
