In order to make this router plane, I watched various videos.
The idea of using eyebolts in particular was very helpful.
The idea of using a hexagon wrench for the router plane blade was commented by viewers of previous videos.
Thank you for their wonderful ideas.

Nice reuse of a tool. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
Beautiful job!!!!!!!
Beautiful job. I really liked your drill guide and the extra little scroll work and your method for knurling the thumb wheel
Wonderful work! This is a very beautiful tool, and I loved the fit of the dovetail joints.
Amazing craftsmanship. Thank you for teaching.
Beauty in the soul. Beauty in the hand. Lovely tool. Thank you for sharing.
I assume sir you are a Japanese gentleman I love this video very much I'm just an admirer of most things Japanese regardless of the current times and decreased values of the western world the Japanese people retain a class all there own I would do love to visit Japan someday and watch first hand workers such as your self
I am glad someone had the same idea for an Allen wrench. Your build is significantly better than mine was. Keep up the great work.

I learned about Allen Wrench ideas in the past video comments. Was it you? Either way, I'm grateful.

it appears that the blade; made from Allen Key is CENTRAL to this. To purchase a Blade is expensive. I believe his design is the answer. I will try and build this, and add a fence to the design

@@fareastwood May I add something about using an allen wrench? I found that the end product works beeter if you file away the angled sides of the iron. To not do this can result in the plane binding in narrow channels.
Excellent work. Thank you.
The tilt adjustment on top (knurled knob) is ingenious! Thanks for this -- very inspiring.
Excellent work!
This is 'carpoetry" nice work, like a haiku simple and beatiful. Greetins from Uruguay.
Great work 🤘
Wow! Great job. I like to see that otheres still do things manually from scratch without all the new power tools.
Beautyfull router plane. Good craftmanship. Greetings from Germany
Beautiful 👍👍👍👍💪
I have no words for the beauty and craftmanship of this project. And a special thanks to the way the video was recorded and edited. No music and no high speed playback. Although I feared that the intro music would continue during the video and I almost left. The best videos only have tool sound!
This is so great. Thanks for sharing. Amazing in everyway. Greetings from a California woodworker.
Nicely done, thank you for sharing. Have a blessed week. Dale
Great work! If you try removing about 1/2” from the length of the cutter then the edge would be moved more toward the rear of the plane and that might take some of the lateral torque off of the blade and give you more control over the cutting action. I think you have inspired me to build one of these. Thanks!

I'm going to build this with your suggestion to shorten the blade. Good idea.
Beautiful outcome. Bravo.
Nice. This is one of the very few DIY router planes with a screw-adjust depth.
So very pleased that I have discovered your channel cos most all of your projects are achievable even for a rookie like myself!
Great craftsmanship!
Amazing skills! Beautiful craftsmanship
Very very good!!! thanks for sharing this project :)
So many useful techniques crammed into quite a short video. Excellent work.
Parabéns! Uma obra de arte! Saudações do Brasil!

Hello. My name is Schorschi. I live in Northern Germany. I'm German. I just recently came across your channel and am absolutely thrilled. As a Western European, I'm so spoiled that I'm almost ashamed, because many of your work processes make me think: "Why doesn't he use a machine now?" But that, precisely that, is what makes your videos so "meditative"; Everything is made by hand, with a lot of skill, a lot of patience, a certain spirit and even more, with a lot of experience. Oh, if only I had this gift too. Of course I have read your vita, and I tell you: “It is not important when and whether your house will be “finished”, the path, and only your path is the goal! And beyond that, it doesn't really matter whether other people like it, because it's your house and you want and have to live in it. I greet you warmly and wish you health and a long life. 멋져요. 응원합니다.
Thank you for sharing, you are a true skilled woodworker using hand tools. It is a work of art as well as a tool.
Old hex keys from broken sets are a wonderful source of good tool steel. I've made lots of things using them. They are easily annealed and then re tempered. Im surprised that more people don't use them.
In the early 70s, when I started in apprenticeship, an old timer (wait, I'm an old timer now!) at the shop had built one of these from an Allen wrench, very very simple but very effective. Glad to see he honed the top. Some do one side of a chisel edge, not realizing that both sides make the edge.
Excellent!
Amazing work! What we have here is a tool with $10 worth of parts and $3000 labour! Patience personified. Great video.
Very nice project and results. Attention to detail!
Nice work! I have made a few different sized cutters for my Stanley router and I have found that making the horizontal portion of the cutter a little shorter than yours helps reduce chatter a bit.
Beautifully inspirational, and perfect for creating an appropriately sized groove or channel.
Very relaxing to watch. I enjoyed that.
Thank you. Many of us take for granted the abundance of tool choices around us. You have a refreshing attitude. God bless.
Muito bom! Parabéns!
I appreciate your demonstration of how you plan to grind the metal and then show the results. By leaving out all the noise, to me your video becomes more enjoyable..and I'm not reaching for the volume! Excellent project very well done!
very impressive and a joy to watch, Greetings from Scotland.
