This is my preferred way to have ads on a KZread channel. Given by the manufacturer without qualification. Makes things more honest and more interesting (and if the manufacturer sells even 2 of them they've made their money back).

Amazing result once again. I'm learning a lot from your weathering techniques and your texturing. I really liked how the mist seemed to escape from the window at 7:38. Maybe you could try ironing the fabric on a block that has your table's dimensions. You'd get sharper edges and cool pleats.

March 28, 2022---Thanks for showing off your diorama as it looks fantastic. Got back into modeling but going for realistic 1/35 scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas, with several of them taking place in homes. This is why I'm getting into 3D printing because there's a lot of stuff not available as kits and with 3D printing, I can make a bunch of something at one time instead of scratch building.
What I'm really impressed by is the fact that the curtain hanging right above the stove never caught fire and burned down the kitchen before it was abandoned.

the aperture comment is something i hadnt thought of. Ive been getting more and more into building minatures for shorts and hadnt figured out how to make it look better. I will try that
A lot of work once again, an impeccable result and always a lot of pleasure to enter your universe. No limits to your imagination. I also loved the sequence where we see you filming your miniature with your equipment. Thank you for sharing your passion with us. Can't wait for the next video!

Thank you for sharing a little bit information about the equipment you use. It is very interesting to just watch you work and listen to what you say. Needless to say, this diorama was stunning as usual. Really enjoy your work.
Bro. You've got mad skills in your art and film! I'm highly impressed by your content! I've been an artist for well over 30 years and I know talent when I see it... You've got it. Keep up the good work buddy.
I hope the inspector made some useful contributions. Your building skills really are very classy. I always enjoy watching your videos, thanks.

another amazing project
Wowza!! Mission accomplished. Moody, scary, realistic, and beautiful. Mers from Harpies in the Trees suggested your channel. Absolutely fascinating. I'm subscribing!
Howdy, wow - that was terrific. I'm a total amateur with photography though love it. I did notice the difference in lighting when you had one then added the other. Light was more 'rounded' for want of a better word - not so focused in one spot. Made me think of those silver 'sunscreens' used to reflect the Sun onto one's face for a tan. How something similar - upside down with light shining up onto it might achieve a 'rounded' light -- I think you can picture what I saw in my head. Who knows ... Great old kitchen - loved it.
Your "speed build" turned out excellent. I suspect you are incapable of doing this sort of thing poorly. That's like a superpower, I think. Cheers!
Could you do a full scratch build? More specifically, everything is made from recycled materials. I’d love to see how realistic you could make that.

I don’t make things from scratch often for a few reasons. There are a lot of great artists who are more known for that though!

Even for a test run this is a great built. But I have to thank you for sharing the camera settings. It's incredible that - despite the high ISO - the picture is so smooth. And I need more lights, I recon.

Absolutely incredible my friend, extremely inspiring, not only do you have the talent to create something like this but you are amazing at camera work too, absolutely awesome work, this kitchen gives me resident evil 7 vibes, these kind of build tell a story, makes you think who used the kitchen how long ago etc etc, absolutely love stuff like this would love to do the exploration kind of stuff you did. Great stuff man 😊👍

Thanks! I can get pretty technical, but I don’t want people to fall asleep. But I guess then again KZread would think they watched it all…
The "fast build" worked just fine. In the future you might consider a little more... It's the aging and dressing that makes it work. It is so mesmerizing watching you build those amazing moody scenes. I do a little photography in the southern Cali desert of various abandoned places, and love your creations. f/40. Wow. I remember reading about the miniatures used in the Star Wars prequels. They used so much light they had to refrigerate their sets to keep the models from melting.

Yes!! Thankfully LEDs now are getting very bright and not nearly as hot!
I don't know if you've mentioned this in one of your prior videos, but in this one you left it out. Additional to that imense light that you need, another very vital part of why you get this amazing look is your Laowa probe lens. Doing shots like these are impossible without a speciality lens like this. One thing that I noticed with beauty shots is: do denoise your footage? I mean at 12.800 ISO even the Sony must have some noise. In most cases people actually do denoise the footage, but I think especially in your case, it would be nice to keep it, since it adds to the eerie, grimey, abandoned look. Either way, I love the stuff you do. There are not many people out there who also focus on this kind of presentation of their works and your's is superb. Keep it up and who knows...maybe Aputure is watching ;) Take care!
@AbandonedMiniatures
2 жыл бұрын
The probe lens really does help for sure! It’s not easy to work with but it’s worth it. I actually did not denoise the clips for this one. At 25,600 it definitely has some noise but this camera actually is very clean at 12,800. A second “native” iso clicks in at that level and it’s cleaner than 6400iso. I don’t like to denoise clips too much because it makes the image more soft so I’d rather have a bright enough light to be as clean as I can.
Great Video 👍🏻from🇬🇧

Thanks! It is, I’m trying different things to improve it for sure. But filming in 120fps and slowing the footage down really helps make it look more realistic.
We do a lot of high speed video at my work using Vision Research Phantom cameras, usually around 4000 fps. Yes, you need a LOT of light. I would definitely go straight to the 1200D for what you’re doing.

An idea for fabrics would be doll or teddy clothes, seems to be some 'doll clothes material' on amazon, should be thinner ;)

Really enjoying your videos! Thank you for sharing.
When you said you were going to focus _both_ lights _with Fresnel lenses_ onto your scene all I could think was "I hope it doesn't melt or burst into flames...." 😟 Glad I needn't have worried. It may not have been what you had in mind, but the effect you did achieve was pretty great, just so you know.

Hi buddy. Just found you're channel Amazing stuff Its a joy to watch it come together. Probably been asked 100times now.... but regarding liquid latex. Do you recommend a particular brand or type to look out for? Or is it all pretty much the same stuff and the cheaper stuff will still do the job we need it for? I've seen a small bottle for £6 and the mold stuff you use is £25. Think the cheaper stuff will still be ok to experiment with?:/
