Paper Kits Have Never Looked So Good - Realistic Scenery Vol.35
Ойын-сауық
Taking an already amazing paper building kit and turning it into an Ultra Realistic scene that could be mistaken for an actual location!
This is a laser cut paper model from Markenburg, their kits not only look amazing but they are very easy to put together and with a bit of extra detail and weathering they look extremely realistic. If you’d like to check out what their range of kits look like you will find them on their website here:

If you’re struggling to spot Wally… I have leaked his secret hiding spots on my website 🧐 www.bouldercreekrailroad.com/youtube-videos/paper-kits-have-never-looked-so-good-realistic-scenery-vol-35 I’ll also be adding some of the 3D .STL files to buy from the store. Right now there are a collection of rubbish bins with and without supports. Over the next week I’ll be adding more, as well as some freebies 😉

Wow I looove it! BUT You mad a huge MISTAKE: The car is on the wrong side. :D Only right driving is correct driving ;) Like landing on the centerline, not the taxiway or RWY edge lighting ;) Greetings from a european first officer bra

Hey Luke, been watching your videos for a while now, you work in 1:87 is really neat and it has helped me out a lot in building my model railroad. Speaking of model railroads are you ever going to do a series where you build a layout for all you models?
I forgot to look for Waldo. I was too enthralled in watching a miniature scene come together. You do an absolutely fantastic job of building these models. Your knowledge of the hobby is awesome. Great work, Luke. I know your videos will be fantastic.

I won't lie... Seeing your dog made me smile
Oh man, this is stunning to look at. And I adore how these miniatures look in the dark with the tiny street lights and window lighting. The atmosphere becomes mesmerizing.
Poor little dog. At least it has a welcoming lap to sit on. These videos are so wonderful; full of skill and detail. The glazing on the lamps is so cool.
What a lovely doggy and a caring companion to comfort him/her.
4:12 Aww the poor terrified pooch that shakes like leaf ! He's cute and I want to hug him to make his fear go away.
I'm from the UK and you can find building exactly like this one in pretty much every single town! As you say, all it would take would be changing some of the small details (like the signs and payphone) and maybe removing the air conditioning units from the roof and bam! it's a UK street scene! I've been binge watching your videos recently because your narration is so calming and I love the attention to detail you put into all your builds!! This is another phenomenal scene - well done!!

i was just about to say that the kit has a dutch streetname and it a very typical dutch building and indeed you whould also remove the aircon here
Glad to see you found a Markenburg kit. I have been working with Markenburg kits for a long time as most of them originate from the city of Waalwijk where I grew up in the Netherlands. Most of the builidngs are familiar and it's great to see this particular one in an Australian setting. Awesome job Luke! Greetings from a big fan in the Netherlands.
Ngl this is probably the most realistic-looking diorama I've ever seen. I couldn't wrap my head around it. Each picture looked like you went out and took photos of a busy street.
Luke, your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me! The pictures of this scene from above and all other angles is so incredibly realistic looking! The people figurines are great and I like you only put one car in the scene! Your tutorials are putting the bug in me to get back into model building!

Wow Luke this was an amazing build, the lamp post construction was mind blowing and the finished effect was incredible. more paper builds please! and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Fantastic looking model, Luke...and I can relate to modeling around a needy K9 friend. 🤣 Thanks!
Your channel is one of my favourites to binge watch. I'll go months and months without watching any then get into it. Building models and scenery is one of my hidden hobbies.
I would never have taken a 'paper building' seriously before, but that looks pretty good. Those lamp posts, though - very nice! I hope you continue to enjoy making these videos as much as we enjoy watching them! :)

Neither did I until they showed me their kits on a train show around 10 years ago. They are amazing. I have seen other paper/cardboard kits but none are as good as Markenburg.
That trick with lamp post glass was amazingly cool.
I love when he makes grass! The building turned out great! So much care is taken in all the details!
Gotta love 1960s Dutch blue collar architecture, nearly spot-on on the surroundings too. :)
You have the patience of Job. I totally enjoyed watching this video. Very relaxing watching you at work.
I'm Dutch so it's nice to see that you're using a typical Dutch apartment-block with stores on the ground floor.

Do you guys genuinely beleive that rectangle brick buildings with shops on the lower floor and apartments above are uniquely Dutch in any way? Essentially every city has them.
@wtp1981

I don't believe it, I know for sure this type of building (typical 60's style ) is Dutch. Yes you'll see this in Germany and Scandinavia, but not in the quantity you see it in The Netherlands. And then again, these kind of houses (with the huge windows on both sides) are for sure Dutch.

That static grass depositing thingo was awesome! First time I've seen one and it amazed me how realistic the grass was. Gone are the days of my childhood watching my older brother sprinkling a flat green powder onto PVA for a railway scene!
never fails to amaze me with how fantastic your work is
This build looks amazing, I love how much detail you put into your work. And I hope your pup is ok after the thunder.
I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now, and I’m still impressed with every single one that you come out with. It always seems like you’ve found some new amazing way to make the diorama even more realistic. Your videos helped my start the scenery on my layout, and I turn back to them all the time to find the best methods to produce the best results. Thank you for all of your work in producing these videos for us to enjoy!
Those 3d colour printed people are awesome! Fantastic diorama!
Luke posting a new video is like the cherry on top of my day. Thank you for everything you do in this hobby! And thank you so much for bringing us along!!!
When I think I have seen every skill and technique that could blow my mind, you my man, do something super amazing again! This is absolutely gorgeous!
You had me at the dog scared of thunder. LOL. I had a collie who was the same way. However, unlike your dog sitting in your lap, my dog would cower in the corner and incessantly drool. Drool so much that I would always have to place a towel on the floor to keep the floor from getting saturated. Poor thing, he was so sweet. I miss him. :(
As much as I enjoy these build videos, I must say...My true love of your channel is your terrain videos. Something about the creeks and the folks fishing off rocks and the little fences! Dang. If I ever could do it, I'd do a train build but use like mountainous and the rolling wheat fields of the Columbia Basin here in the Northwest of USA.

That Crystal Clear application was very impressive.
Wow, does that ever come together well. Fantastic job Luke!
Brilliant job, it looks fantastic.
Wow.. paper kits have come a long way!!! This looks amazing, Luke!
I’m really new to model kits an there’s always so much to learn watching different videos seeing different ways people overcome obstacles. I really want to build a gundam diorama but I need a few more things before I want to start. I really liked that grass thing that made the standing grass that little extra detail is nice
I am impressed with the quality of the building. It is hard to believe it is a paper model This diorama is great, there is so much to see and it is very realistic. Thanks for sharing this.
How impressive, this is remarkable!
Awesome as always
Just thinking a day or two ago that I hadn’t seen an alert for your video. Today, another fabulous and realistic model. Thanks!!!

Great build. I had no idea a paper kit could look so good. Thanks for sharing
Simply amazing. These are some awesome skills.
Beautiful work as always
Incredible work, as usual! The only detail I would change is the manhole cover with the road stripe on it. When workers replace the cover, they NEVER line up the stripe! 😄
