really digging these all-season themed videos, something like an all Nintendo based season with along with other ideas would be really cool

I dont know about Spider-Man vs Ladybug, I think she has a better matchup in Randy Cunningham. They're both basically the same character with the same kind of enemies and almost the same abilities, with Ladybug edging out a little in terms of hax thanks to the Lucky Charm, but even then its not a gap Randy cant close with many of his Ninja Arts, thats what makes that fight so interesting to me, so I stand with Ladybug vs Randy Cunningham all the way ;)

Spiderman vs Ladybug is my second most wanted matchup. Here are the full connections for those who actually care: This is basically the debate between the immovable object vs the unstoppable force. The spider-sense is like the immovable object. It warns Spiderman of impending danger, so he can dodge it. This gives him an advantage in theoretically being able to dodge every attack. Ladybug's lucky charm is like the unstoppable force. The lucky charm gives her the exact thing she needs to win. This gives her an advantage in being able to have the very thing that will counter Spiderman's abilities. This is the debate of will Ladybug be able to beat Spiderman with the lucky charm. Yes, it gives her exactly what she needs to win, but he is able to dodge attacks without seeing it. Can Ladybug hit Spiderman with the lucky charm? This is what intrigues me so mutch about the matchup. The main connection is that they are both just high school students who are trying to balance their civilian life with their superhero life. They both have to deal with school bullies (Flash and Chloe) who later become allies when their services are enlisted to fight the good fight (More so with Chloe). Many episodes or comic stories are dedicated to when they just cant handle two separate lives, and what happens because of it. They each get their secret identities released, and it causes massive destruction to them. Ladybug actually died and Paris (as well as pretty much the whole world and universe if Ladybug did not intervene.) is destroyed because the wrong people found out about her secret identity. Aunt May is hospitalized because Peter reveals his secret identity. Each gain back their secret through crazy means. Ladybug has to go into the future to stop Cat Blanc and then go backwards in time to prevent the reveal of her secret, finally returning to the present. Peter has to literally make a deal with the devil to save Aunt May and his secret and the expense of his relationship with Mary Jane. They are both really smart and at the top of their class. Peter is obviously known as the nerd of the class. I dont remember if there's anyone smarter than Peter in his class. Marinette, while not being the absolute smartest in her class, she has shown high amounts of intelligence. I would say it's fair to assume she's the second smartest in her class. They both have complicated love life. Marinette more so than Peter, but Peter has had like a hundred (not really) girlfriends. There is also the connection of them being able to "web swing". Ladybug has a magical yoyo that lets her traverse Paris like Spiderman traverses New York. Her yoyo is indestructible too, so there's no way for Spiderman prevent mobility. Ladybug is probably not strong enough to break webs either. I dont really know how she can handle webs. She uses her yoyo to block energy blasts and projectiles. Thanks to Tiki, Marinette has super strength, speed, and endurance as Ladybug. Same as Spiderman except it's not because of a kwami. As previously mentioned, they have to deal with harsh bullies who will stop at nothing to humiliate them. However, funnily enough, Flash and Chloe are the biggest fans/supporters of Spiderman and Ladybug respectively. They have even dressed up as their heroes and tried to fight crime before getting way over their head and having to be rescued by Spiderman and Ladybug They go so far as being some of the only people who defend their heroes when they are wrongfully framed by supervillains. Flash and Chloe eventually get a chance to fight side by side with their hero when they get their own superpowers (Flash becomes Agent Venom, and Chloe becomes Queen Bee). There is a cool contrast in that Ladybug is a magical superhero, and Spiderman is a scientific superhero. As in, how they got their powers. Peter got his powers through a radioactive spider bite. Marinette got her powers through the magical kwamis. The most obvious connection is cool but doesn't really affect anything. They are both superheroes clad in red based off of invertebrates. Like I said, it's not big, but it is a nice aesthetic connection. They both have assembled and led teams of superheroes. Peter led different teams in the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon with the Web Warriors and the other teenage superheroes from the beginning of the show. There is also the whole Spiderverse debacle. Marinette has recruited many of her friends to fight along side her. Their teams have faced off against the big bad in an attempt to save their world (Spiderverse and Team Miraculous vs Scarlet Moth). They have both deal with enemies that can affect emotions (Hawkmoth, obviously; and Venom can affect its hosts mental stability and make them more savage and brutal). They both have had to deal with problems that occur when they fall under the influence of said opponents. Marinette has been akumatised, though only for a little bit. She also has avoided getting akumatised a couple times other than that. Spiderman has obviously had to deal with being bonded to the symbiote. Their main villains are the dads of their close friends. Green Goblin/ Norman Osborn is Harry's father who doesn't really care about his son. He either just wants to use him as a pawn (such as when he manipulated him into bonding with the symbiote, or just plain forcing him to bond with it), or he just flat out does not care. He is more concerned about expanding his money, power and influence. He is also stinkin' rich. (Before you get all upset, the general consensus is that Green Goblin is Spiderman's main villain.) Hawkmoth/ Gabriel Agrest is Adrian's (Cat Noir) father. Gabriel contrasts to Norman because Gabriel does care about Adrian... a little too much. He shelters Adrian from everything and tries to keep his locked up and "safe" from the world. Gabriel isn't concerned with making tons of money; he just wants to bring his dead wife back to life. He may not be as rich as Norman, but Gabriel is still stinkin' rich. They both also run high end companies. Norman is into science and engineering while Gabriel is a fashion designer. This matchup is kind of important to me on a personal basis. Ladybug is my sister's favorite superhero, and Spiderman is my second favorite superhero. Ladybug is quite important to me as well, because I have gotten to bond with my sister over the show. There are a few other minor connections, but this post has gone on long enough. I dont know if you can tell, but I really care and like this matchup. You may not like it, but I love it. Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.

Apparently from what I heard Death Battle buys Planet level Miraculous so Spidey's getting stomped here

Alright, time to talk about Osborn VS Xanatos. First of all, the connections can be summed up as "Mastermind villains who are the CEOs of New York City-based multi-billion dollar corporations, both of them using mechanical combat-armour based on mythical creatures (goblins and gargoyles respectively)." Next, I think focusing Goblin is definitely possible and honestly preferred. Not only is the fight (presumably) a lot closer than with Patriot, but Patriot's only real advantage imo is that it has an extra connection (both having mech armour based on heroes of their world). Goblin meanwhile can still have the airbourne battle of the Exo-Frame VS Patriot, but Goblin doesn't have the problem of potentially overwhelming Xanatos, plus I think Goblin would just be more interesting and has less opportunity to lead into just another capeshit fight. Also, I think that using Norman's characterisation from Spectacular Spider-Man would work the best, as much as I love Dafoe. Spectacular just matches Xanatos far better, not really being insane, so much as just being a bastard. Some cool moments I'd like to see in the fight would be; -The fight starting at a dinner party held by one of them, with the two striking up a conversation, possibly where one tries to buy out the others' company. It quickly devolves in an incredibly passive-aggressive argument with both trying to laugh it off, before Xanatos says the wrong thing, causing Osborn to excuse himself for a few seconds, and the Goblin to explode out of the walls the next. Goblin breaks through the window with Xanatos in hand and holds him high above the city skyline and drops him, only for to turn out that it was Coyote that Goblin dropped instead of David, with the real one flying up to meet him in the Exo-Frame (While Coyote has only ever been seen in Power Armour, it's not a stretch at all to say that Xanatos built one that simply looked like him in order to fool Norman). -A sequence where Goblin gets knocked into a nearby building and loses his glider temporarily, and decides to just fight Xanatos hand to hand, throwing him through entire floors like he did to Peter in NWH. Xanatos, however (possibly in his lighter, more compact Exo-Suit), is able to match him in combat, and slams Osborn through a few walls as well, before both of them are back outside and in the air. -A line exchange that somehow references David's love of the word "acquire", and Goblin's quote about gods taking things. -A scene where both are flying and fighting on the Statue of Liberty, ending with the thing getting destroyed and being the backdrop for the climax. -The death being a reference to Goblin's death in Spider-Man 1. Xanatos stands over Osborn, ready to end the fight, asking him for any last words. Goblin's response? "Expect the unexpected..." and from here one of two things happen. 1. If Norman wins, he rolls out of the way just in time, and Xanatos is stabbed by the glider, with Goblin making some burning line about his failure. 2. If David wins, he catches the glider, saying "Unexpected isn't in my vocabulary." He then proceeds to stab Osborn in the chest with the glider, asking him "Let's try this again, Norman. Any last words? Maybe an apology?" Goblin's response? "Norman Osborn... doesn't... apologise..." So yeah, cool matchup, best for Goblin by a landslide.

I can definitely feel you on your thoughts on Galactus vs Unicron, waiting for a potential fight for so long, even years after confirmation, wait and waiting for it to come, it feels.....empty. you later grow to wanting different battles, fights you at some point soon to prefer, but what happens to the previously most wanted, it becomes an empty husk of what it used to be, it fails to excite you the way it used too, even if it were to immediately be revealed, even if the actual fight is their absolute best, even if the episode turns into a perfect 10/10, there is something there that it cant foll, that void of emptiness of you waiting, and growing out of it. That's the thing, we all grow out of something, and the worse thing to grow out of, is anticipation. Once you leave it to the side, it's magic doesnt tickle you the same way it did before, you cant reminense back to it as a feeling of nostalgia, but rather that thing you waited too long for, so what's the point of it coming now? That feeling comes to be often, not just in death battle but other media sources, needlessly to say.....it's a sad feeling.

Already said this under another vid, but What If Ultron vs Heaven Ascended DIO would be one of my top most wanted death battles.

Two ideas for if you do more videos like this in the future: Making a Battle Royale DB Season A DB season consisting of exclusively Battle Royale episodes. Take any matchups you like involving 3 or more characters and make a season out of them. OR Making a 2 v 2 DB Season Basically the same thing, but using exclusively 2 v 2 matchups.

One of my personal most wanted matchups is Marvel vs Non-DC, that being Luke Cage vs Gideon Jura from Magic: the Gathering. It's not necessarily 1 of my favorite matches, but it's an amazing way to introduce MtG and the concepts of feats from literature and card art to the wider Death Battle audience since. It's a really thematic matchup against a popular franchise, uses a more modern MtG character that doesn't go into Oldwalker shenanigans, and would make a great fight animation with both being buff dudes who have to try to beat the other more strategically to get past their indestructible skin.

I personally really like Spider-Man VS Joseph Joestar. I feel a battle between strategists could be really fun, and having them figure out more about how the other's abilities works as the fight could go on could be really fun. Joseph (surprisingly) wins, which is really nice, personally, but I also really like the overall feel of the matchup.

@@mystikskullz2583 Yeah, it's perfectly okay to ask. I assumed for a while that Peter did have better feats, but Joseph actually has really solid City level scaling for both AP and Durability, and his speed scales to the other really fast JoJo characters, like Jotaro and DIO, which would make him FTL. Peter's also FTL, however, I believe he's only Town level, which is lower than Joseph's City stats. I've heard of City level Peter, but, I'm unsure of where this comes from. I'm not saying that means it couldn't be solid, but it just means I can't really talk on it. Even if he's in the same stat ballpark as Joseph, so to speak, I feel Joseph's a stronger strategist, and his Hamon can somewhat counter Peter's webbing, if I'm correct. (Peter's webbing isn't useless, but Hamon should allow Joseph to break out of it or manipulate it quickly and easily.)

@@thefilthycasual6402 People have strategized against and landed hits on Peter many times in canon, so although I understand the idea, Joseph could still strategize against him. Spider-Sense is very helpful, but, of course, doesn't make him untouchable. Also, humans wouldn't be able to command their Stands to strike and counter at FTL speeds if they themselves couldn't react that fast. In a sense, it's somewhat like Pokémon. If a trainer can't react to something, then, they wouldn't be able to command their Pokémon appropriately, so to speak. Most Stands we see do have a level of self-consciousness, but, Stand fights also certainly aren't just Stands doing the work whilst their user stands there looking nice, and doing nothing, so to speak.

@@MManiaZone yeah gonna have to disagree on that first thing that comparison isn’t that good as trainers have a lot more bearing on what a Pokémon does then a stand and stand user (and even then I find the argument just as wobbly). Second the only circumstance I can see this argument probably working is with Hanged Man which had Silver Chariot sent some distance (and again still a stretch imo) outside of that all the fights were so close range the stands could do most of the input by themselves.

These are the perfect length for cooking and eating a meal. I have never seen Buffy and she probably stomps, but a matchup I thought of for a bit was Buffy vs Juniper Lee from Life and Times of Juniper Lee. Teenagers who have supernatural powers and fight Magical beings while balancing it with school. Lee was even influenced by Buffy.

1. Cobra vs Red Skull is YAAAAAAS 2. This Juggernaut talk recently has just been fun to listen to Im equally excited and terrified for the eventual day Juggernaut gets into Death Battle I say eventual cuz theyve talked about him a lot of DBCast so seems his chances are pretty good. And yeah Juggernaut vs Overlord just sounds amazing. I love how it plays into Juggs face turn that is just a great story arc btw I love it.

Here’s one for when you get to the DC vs Non Marvel one: Kalmaar vs Ocean Master (Ninjago vs DC) Two young princes who reside in an ancient lost city (Merlopia and Atlantis) who both have a troubled relationship with their parental figures (Trimaar, Kalmaar’s father, and Atlanna, Ocean Master’s mother). Both would not get along with their “siblings” (Benthomaar is Kalmaar’s adopted brother, and Aquaman is Ocean Master’s Half-Brother) and would inevitably duel them. Both would grow up resenting their families and the surface and would later usurp the throne and attack the surface with their massive armies, where they would later be defeated by their “sibling” and the female friend (Nya and Mira). Thank you for answering my question about which version of overlord you'd prefer to fight juggernaut. And personally I think IDW works the best too.

Personally, if I had to choose a Marvel vs. Non-DC MU for Death Battle, I'd choose Old Man Logan vs. The Last Ronin from TMNT. Also, I feel like if we're going by Lovecraft monsters, I feel like Yog-Sothoth is a more appropriate opponent for Shuma-Gorath than Cthulhu.

I’m really impressed by these matchups!

That bit at the end, that really sucks man, I can't imagine looking at my most wanted DB and being, basically, repulsed. Getting a lot of passion for something and then getting hyped for it, then losing the hype, the love for it, just sounds heartbreaking. Personally I like seeing matchups that I have no connection to at all, because I know someone out there is freaking out that their favorite MU is being done finally. Whether or not that helps how you feel about Galactus vs Unicron, I hope it doesn't happen to Destroyah vs Iris, or Eddie The Head vs Evil Ernie, or any other's you're hyped to see

Overlord is a terrifying opponet to face against, I love how Brutal he can be in the IDW comics, from shooting you point blank for cracking a joke, beat you to hell and let the other decepticons tear you apart or even just straight up step on you multiple times.

Imagine having a match with a series as based as Skylanders that gets cancelled out because it has the cringeite show on it as well

a skylander that should be on Death Battle is (my favorite) Smolderdash, I see her as the most powerful Skylander, I think Azula from Avatar would work (mostly because there both voiced by Grey DeLisle)

The way they are talking about it makes it clear they want to do it. I never said that they confirmed it was happening so I don’t understand why you are coming at me. Like it’s far more likely than the other matchups that Juggernaut has since it’s one of the most requested and they show great interest in it to the point the said they wanted to do it.

Kinda surprised you talked about Juggernaut and his other MUs without ever bringing up Archie Knuckles at any point. Especially since DB apparently really likes the MU as well. It might end up becoming Juggs' DB in the end Also Doomsday returning would LIKELY be against SCP-682, a whole lot of potential for the fight there, great new franchise to introduce, and a pretty clear cut DC Loss last I checked lol.

Can you do a full death battle season but it full of rematches from season 1-2 , they said in a podcast that was a though in there head but dont know if the fan want it ( and also you can beat them to the punch )

Solidus Snake vs Bradley would be awesome though so would either opponent vs Deathstroke. Deathstroke vs Deadpool was good, I just want Slade to be known than more than just that one guy Deadpool killed once if that makes any sense. Cobra Commander Vs Red Skull/ Cobra vs Hydra sounds like a really good army match. Durge would be a cool character to show up in Death Battle. Though thinking about it both Death's Head & Durge also work for Lobo. While Unicron vs Galactus is still my most wanted Death Battle, I understand your thought process. Galactus now being the world Forger & not the World Eater makes it less thematic, & Unicron no longer being a multiverseal singularity makes his potential arsenal a lot less interesting. I still think we can get a interesting army match with the two with both Unicron & Galactus' heralds going against one another. However it is questionable if Death Battle is willing to put the research into that.

One Marvel (but not main Marvel) vs non DC match I liked, then didn't like but now like again after playing Psychonauts 2 is Nightmask (Keith Remsen) vs Raz. Originally I just connected them because they both go into people's heads which I found a bit lame just having one connection but after playing the second game and seeing Raz use his abilities to actually help people with their psychological issues, and the fact both of them had their families killed by someone close to them and they have unintentionally messed up someone psychologically with their powers, it works for me a lot more now, and the fact that both are kids who are inducted into a military program they are likely way too young for. I imagine Raz stomps, at least physically since Nightmask should just be peak human but I could see Nightmask's illusions being potentially effective and he should be able to keep up in a fight. I think the biggest thing though is the fact that both can go inside the other's head so you could go from a normal fight to suddenly a mental one where Raz likely enters Keith's mind to figure out what's wrong with him (Keith got really messed after the Black Event) and then Raz has to survive in Keith's mind where Keith would have better control over his mindscape but Raz's psychic powers could allow him to still do things like change his thoughts to make him not want to continue the fight or remove more toxic aspects of his personality. Would just make a cool trippy, mental battle and I like the idea of Raz actually helping him throughout the battle since at one point, Keith lost the ability to control his dream self so whenever he entered someone's mind, he'd regress into a more mocking and malicious personality which did more harm than good so you could have Keith start off normal in the real world fight but as soon as it goes mental, Raz is fighting him in this state as if he's a completely different character. Its pretty unique, Raz likely stomps which is sad but I think the potential fight still warrants it being looked at so I am more okay with this being a stomp than Po vs Murray or Kratos vs Scorpion.

Actually maybe the fight with Norman Osborn vs David Xanatos, or anyone else vs Osborn, could have the fight start with Norman in the Iron Patriot armor but halfway through the battle, the suit is destroyed and he seems to be dead but you can hear faintly Norman taking some Goblin Serum as a last ditch effort to win as he falls into madness, flying out in his Goblin costume on the glider, perhaps even later on becoming one of his more monstrous incarnations. This way, you still get Norman Osborn as the Iron Patriot but you also get the Green Goblin as both his classic glider riding form and potentially one of his more monstrous forms for three different phases of the battle.

I’d go for an Iceman vs Aokiji/Kuzan episode.

Here are 6 more matchup ideas: -G1 Marvel Comics Megatron vs Monsterverse King Ghidorah (it has a Marvel character, therefore I decided it counts) Track name: Alien Tyrants (Btw, there is a fan-made Megatron vs King Ghidorah track called Kings of Space where I wrote a battle script for that matchup in the comment section. Yes, I know, I just shamelessly promoted myself, but seriously, I'm proud of that script and I hope you like it.) Two alien leaders who came to Earth and got immobilised in isolated areas for really long periods of time because of conflict with their arch enemies. They were eventually awakened by outside forces and almost immediately came face-to-face with their arch enemies before making a tactical retreat. Their goals are about shaping the world around them to their own twisted visions and have an insane level of hatred for their arch enemies (Optimus Prime and Godzilla). They assembled armies of their kind to accomplish their goals (the Decepticons and the Titans) and they sent messages across the world (Ghidorah's Alpha Roar Call and that one time Megatron made his troops write a bunch of cybertronian graffiti all over the world to challenge Optimus to a duel (I did not make it up)). Plus, they have treacherous and opportunistic seconds-in-command (Starscream and Rodan) (and yes, G1 Marvel Comics Starscream vs Monsterverse Rodan is kinda nice). They overpowered their arch enemies (Rodimus and Godzilla), but got ultimately put down by the seconds-in-command (Ultra Magnus and King Kong) after a hard-fought battle. -Marquis of Death vs Ohma Zi-O Track name: Demonic Paradise Two originally good men who joined the supernatural worlds of Kamen Rider and Marvel Comics and got turned into black-dressed sadistic monsters who can summon any combatant, weapon or ability from their respective verses they wish and are capable of manipulating reality on a cosmic scale. There is also a bit of fourth-wall-breaking with these two (Marquis of Death comes from a universe where the Marvel Universe is just fiction and apparently Ohma Zi-O has fourth-wall awareness (I'm sure Wiz and Boomstick are gonna love that little info)). Also, Ohma Zi-O is best bad boi and I'm rooting for him. The fight could actually end similarly to how Superboy Prime vs Marquis of Death could end. Ohma seemingly kills Marquis and teleports back to Earth in front of the Kamen Rider statue. Some soldiers get there and Ohma raises his hand and is about to kill them, just like everyone else who fought him, only for the soldiers to kneel before him and worship him as their demon king. Ohma gets what he wanted. He is now recognised as the greatest and kindest demon king there is and starts lowering his hand. But something is off. It all was...too easy. And then he realises what happened and raises his hand causing everything to shatter and revealing that it was all an illusion by Marquis, catching Marquis off-guard. Then, Ohma charges at Marquis and Marquis unleashes an army of Marvel characters at him and in response, Ohma summons an army of Kamen Riders, and we get an awesome shot of Ohma charging towards Marquis and their armies about to clash. Then, we get an Endgame-style battle between their armies with Ohma fighting his way through Marvel characters in order to get to Marquis. If Ohma wins (and the finisher involves a Rider Kick), he stops and says to himself "Now that's how the greatest and kindest demon king there is earns his crown.". If Marquis wins, then he quickly one-shots Ohma as he was charging at him, stops for a second and then looks at his hand and realises that he did not kill Ohma because he was toying with him, but because he was afraid of him. -IDW1 Megatron vs Doctor Doom Track name: Tyrannical Peacemakers Two originally good men who rose from the low ranks of society and took the people on their side in order to overthrow tyrannical governments and became the leaders of factions, but ultimately turned themselves into even worse monsters than the ones they overthrew. Upon gaining political power on Cybertron and Latveria respectively, they grew superiority-complexes and got inspired to expand their vision to the rest of the universe and the rest of Earth respectively. They have a pretty intense relationship with the likes of Optimus Prime and Reed Richards respectively (and no, I'm not talking about shipping) and along their quests to achieve their goals they received forms with immense power, but after being humiliated and losing those said forms, they got humbled and changed their ways (Megatron became an Autobot and Doom took the mental of Ironman). As for the fight, we could have Autobot Megatron vs Doom at his evil days. We could have an epic moment where Megatron looks at Doom and sees on Doom the monster he once used to be. The dynamic from that point on could be between their conflicting ideals, with Megatron taunting Doom for forgetting what he was fighting for, while Doom taunts Megatron for being a wreck of his former shelf. Also, we could have Doom say something that makes Megatron say "Because I'm Megatron." (essentially referencing the best line in the entire Prime Wars Trilogy) and Doom responds with "And I'm Doctor Doom!". Also, the ending could have the loser have his whole life flash right before their eyes. If Megatron is the one who dies, then his last memory is him and the Lost Light crew hugging each other and Megatron saying "Guess I was good for some after all." If Doom wins, his last memory is a memory of a happy Latveria and his last wirds are "My home...I saved my home.". -Godzilla vs Hulk (there are 3 versions of that matchup) Track name: Radioactive Rage Showa Goji vs Hulk: Two radioactive monsters that are kinda assholes, caused lots of destruction and got into conflict with the military but slowly softened up, teamed up with people who fought them (Mothra, Rodan and the Avengers) in order to combat common threats and eventially turned themselves to true heroes. They also have radioactive relatives (Minilla and She-Hulk). Heisei Goji vs Hulk: Two originally peaceful beings (Godzillasaurus and Bruce Banner) that got exposed to radiation and turned themselves into monsters that, despite not being evil, caused lots of destruction and got into conflict with the military, up to the point where specific generals got obsessed with killing them and special units were created to take them down. They can survive getting their bodies destroyed and can transfer their consciousness into other bodies. They also have dark hide-outs from where they monitor their plans, control entire armies and have captured and/or killed multiple heroes who stood in their way. They also have corrupted technology and technological entities and basically started Robo-Apocalypses. The fight could have them switching from body to body while their armies clash and end with the winner either a) taking over the loser's body and makes them their slave orakes them kill themselves or b) allowing his opponent to try to take over his body only for the winner to catch the loser off-guard by erasing their consciousness/programming from existence. Whatever the ending, the winner takes over the loser's army and planet and embraces everyone hailing him, just like in Ultron vs Sigma.

My most wanted Marvel vs non DC matchup is Supaidaman vs Red Ranger Jason. A Japanese take on a western character vs a western take on a Japanese character. Additionally its probably one of the few ranger matchups where you can show off both the ranger outside their zord along with being able to summon their zord for over the top finale. Not sure who wins but it vibes with me

I'm nerd enough to know what a Duocon is! He avoided that classification due to him being duel Power Master. (or in a recent incarnation a head master) But i think they fear calling him it and underselling. The recent Toy gave him a Combined "Base Mode" to make sure he not given the distinction even if he has no partners.

Though can classifications not stack up? Piranacon is considered a target master combiner in his commercial, and the Horrorcons are headmaster triple changers.

For the Jugg vs Overlord fight, I think it would be fun to start the fight in a warfield like place and Jugg just tossing tank OL into Jet OL when they combine

This is niche but I kinda like Kevin Ford vs Tomura Shigaraki. Both have disintegration powers that they discovered in their back yards where they accidentally killed a family member/s. And they contrast in that one became a hero while the other became a villain. May have that a little off but it's my current understanding and I like it.

Honestly as much as I like Saitama VS Popeye I was fucking FURIOUS that it wasn’t Galctus vs Unicron, especially since it had so much friggin potential yet they blew it on a fight no one wanted and one that had the victor decided the moment the fight was conceived (nothing is stronger than toon force) yet they still went with it anyway. It just blows my mind that, while yes they had a reason, it was a somewhat stupid reason since a 2D fight would 100% be more expensive than the 3D that this fight would be, not to mention they could’ve done the fight in 2D(even though that’s a studios fucking idea) to actually have it happen instead of baiting us with a damn lie.

Honestly, with how well Saitama vs Popeye worked as an episode and a fight, I'm kind of glad that we had that episode over Glactus vs Unicron. I feel like being angry that a certain matchup wasn't the finale is just a problem with having overly large expectations. Saitama vs Popeye was a stomp too but that didn't stop anybody from enjoying the fight regardless, lots of people went into that knowing Saitama would lose but that was never the appeal. It was about the fight potential and Death Battle took advantage of that in stellar fashion. I can't see Galactus vs Unicron and being at the same level of enjoyment that Saitama vs Popeye brought as a finale

This might not help but that was actually a Galactious vs Unicron fight over on Animation rewind, I will link. Also, just as a side note, do you have any ideas for HxH matchups. All the ones I’ve seen are against the kid versions of Naruto characters, which is a tight rope of not giving a character too much or too little, Demon Slayer, who I’m confident are all just super human which would likely result in a stomp, JoJo, the opposite problem, Mha, still ongoing to make its characters stronger than HxH, RWBY, which is fair but would end HxH loosing every time apart from Netro and the ants, Avatar, which is a good option but I’d say nen beats out bending as Hunters have superhuman abilities without powers, and some other characters who I will list off. Invincible: Too strong Natsu: Too strong and powerful Damian Wayne: Too slow and Weak K.O.: Less training, control and experience. Ash Ketchum: What and how the F*ck Hiei and Yuskue: Way to powerful Cabba: Too power, more range control, better training and more superhuman = too strong. Static: Gets cut up if he doesn’t blow you up. Shocker: Too slow and weak, idiotic. Luffy: “No one can hurt me, I’m made of rubber.” Also to strong and fast. I would explain further but my list of 13 bad matchups got deleted while typing. 🥲😿 I’ve seen Killua vs Akame thrown out but I don’t know anything about Akame so I’m neutral. I’ve also seen Killua vs X-23 (Laura Kinney) but if Killua’s Lightning doesn’t kill her than he’s screwed. For Gon I’ve seen him against Edward Eleick, which sounds cool but I think nen beats alchemy because it’s more versatile. I’ve also seem Meruem vs Cell thrown out. But I really don’t see the connection and honestly would rather watch Cell vs Boros. I’ve also seen Meruem vs Kars but I don’t know who Kars is, so again neutral. As it stands I don’t have a HxH matchup I want, which is disappointing, so I’m interested in you option. One fight idea I do like is X-23 vs Damian Wayne. But as far as I can tell, I’m the only one who thinks it could work. To me it’s more thematic than Batman vs Wolverine and honestly I think that’s impressive. Plus it lets death battle have an excuse to stop using the bat family. They would have used literally everyone except Alfred. Who might have matchups, idk. I also like Garou vs Tia Lung. It works. better than Tia lung vs 2016 Shredder, which is his best option, and there skills match out. Garou is faster but Tia lung can match his strength. Garou would win the fight but Tia Lung would put up a good fight that would make Garou advance slowly. Garou vs Punisher is also an option but I still like the Tia Lung idea better because he actually knows martial arts. Anyways, if you see this comment, let me know your opinion. I and most of the Vs community as far as I know share your sentiment with Galactus vs Unicron. Though, for me, it’s a bit less as that was never my most wanted matchup. My most wanted has always been Kyogre vs Wojira (Pokémon vs Ninjago), but yes, I and several others am on a similar boat to you with Galactus vs Unicron Also, Hydra vs Cobra sounds fantastic. Here’s another connection you missed for that: Both are also named after venomous serpents (Hydra being named after the Lernian Hydra from Greek mythology, which is described as a large, multi headed snake that has powerful venom, and Cobra being named after, well, cobras, a real life species of highly venomous snakes) Also, I know what a Duocon is! (Mostly because I watched transformers: the basics), and It could work. Juggernaut has most likely battled characters the size of Overlord and other Transformers

This is a great season! The one fight I would add would be Old Logan vs Last Ronin. Just for the theming and vibe of the match of two dudes who lost everything, wondering the world in hopes of revenge. Plus it could have this really sad or somber theme that not many other episodes can have, due to how tragic both renditions of the characters are.

Only Marvel vs Non-DC fight I ever thought of and really wanted was Carnage vs Alex Mercer. I know it was brought up in a previous video but honestly people just kinda overlook that fight as "They have the same powers" and that's it, hell even Death Battle themselves didn't do it just for that reason (well that and Cole McGrath being the more popular matchup) but between the two I think there's enough of a connection to make the fight more interesting than just two dudes using bloody biomass shapes to hit each other. For one thing, Alex Mercer and Cletus Cassidy both grew up in very broken homes, leading to them developing violent and distant personality traits gave them the edge they need to become to cold-blooded killers they are. Along with that, the connection I like best even if it's not that solid is the fact that Alex and Cletus are no longer the men they once were, Cletus is fully bonded with the symbiote into his very blood and muscle, not a suit like how Venom is and Alex (spoilers for Prototype if you haven't played) died when he was shot to death after throwing the vial of Blacklight virus to the ground, the virus bonded to Mercer and created a copy of him from the corpse, Cletus and Alex are no more, there is only Carnage and Blacklight. That's just my two cents on why this matchup works better than what others think, even if in recent months I've been wanting Alex Mercer vs Albert Wesker more (which is less likely to happen) but when Alex vs Cole comes out I'll at least be happy to see one of my fave characters in Death Battle.

Pretty much like all of your matches (With Lizard vs Leatherhead my preferred for both now), sorry about your hype for Galactus vs Unicron died, would probably be the same for me when Hulk comes back a 3rd time and fight against a DC character and not Hulk vs Asura (my most wanted match since 2012). But hey, at least it will happen...eventually. So, Spider-Man vs Ladybug... The connection is that they're two red, invertebrate-themed, teenage superheroes who are largely associated with one place (New York for Spidey and Paris for Ladybug). They can both traverse their area by swinging around, and are optimistic beacons of light in their city. Outside of their superhero lives, they are both very reserved and intelligent students who have complicated love lives. In terms of debate, Peter is, at most, City Block level in terms of attack power, while Marinette is largely considered Large Town level, scaling to a villain who can launch the Eiffel Tower to the moon. She could be Dwarf Star level as she once moved the Earth back into orbit. Marinette is also faster, being FTL while Peter is only Hypersonic. The only advantage Peter might hold is stamina, but otherwise Marinette stomps him

I was hoping to hear Black Bolt vs Zebra mentioned. More people need to be talking about Toriko; and damn that piss-poor anime adaptation.

There was this OVA special, it was Dragon Ball Z vs One Piece vs Toriko, like I know DBZ & One Piece is huge in Japan, but is Toriko?

@@ama-ri_vox It is nowhere near as popular as those two, but it could have been. There is an amazing Toriko OVA animated by Ufotable (yes, the same Ufotable that is animating Demon Slayer). I highly recommend watching it. It saddens me that it was Toei Animation that eventually adapted the series.

Funny how said Cobra commander 1 of his big villian likes ala Megatron.... Fun fact on multiple occasions Megatron has allied with Cobra & sometimes even had new Cobra designed Alt modes.

in all honesty i believe a better match-up for Blade would be Rayne from the Bloodrayne series. Both are half-vampires who hunt down and kill other vampires, have arsenals of both guns and blades, and wear nothing but black leather. They fit both thematically AND visually

Kamen Rider Vs. Captain America could be a random encounter in a Shocker base. Cap would have encountered the Shocker Riders and defeat them before thinking Kamen Rider 1 is a Shocker Rider as well. Takeshi Hongo will try to stop Steve at first but when the shield does some damage he will stop holding back. Then the fight can show how skilled either are as fighters before Takeshi rips the shield from Steve and tosses it away and takes a severe advantage over him. So Steve has to show how good of a fighter he is even when at a massive disadvantage in terms of strength. (Both are skilled and experienced fighters so the cybernetic strength will tip the scales in Kamen Rider’s favor) So whoever wins it will be a fun martial arts fight without having to go too over the top.

Just one caveat I have about Red Skull, and for this I'll quote a relatively famous Comicbook reviewer: "You might as well just make a line replacement on their pamphlets switching Nazi with Hydra. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and sieg hails like a freaking Nazi, it's a freaking Nazi. [...] All hydra are Nazi, even if not all Nazi are Hydra"
