Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I wanted to try a much faster fiber arts project than normal, so I challenged myself to make a chandelier in just one day!

    I actually have a tattoo of one of my favorite sayings I learned from my mother, growing up in Germany. It's Northern German dialect, Plattdeutsch,and it loosely translates into "If the dog hadn't stopped to take a shit, he would have caught the rabbit." It's the story of my life 😅😂

    Oh my goodness I love the the technique but you made me laugh too! Especially lying underneath the construction! That’s exactly my thought when you weren’t sure if it was aligned! Love your channel.

    Super cute! I kind of want to make one of my own, probably with color-changing LEDs.

    I love this! In the 70s, my uncle used to do lots of macrame, including wall hangings and fixing lawn chairs using macrame, some of those chairs are still in use at my cousins' kids' houses; they were so well-constructed.

    Really lovely idea. Consider also adding an inline cord switch so you don't have to reach into the bulb area to turn it on and off. It's an on and off switch you add somewhere within the electrical cord. That way you can have the on/off in some convenient location. There are instructions on KZread. Search for something like "in line cord switch installation."

    Haha yeah I totally got the wrong kind of lamp for this one... it might be easier to switch out the whole thing with one that already has the cord switch in it honestly!

    @@gettheetothestitchery Not really. The one I'm talking about is designed for use with an existing lamp. Somewhere along the cord, where you want the on/off switch to be, you cut the cord and insert it. I found it on the Home Depot site. It's called "White 3A Feed-Through ON/OFF Lamp Switch"

    @@digging4roots You don't have to cut the cord to add them in for a lot of them. They have prongs that pierce the cord and control it that way.

    im plesantly surprised how well you managed to asemble the lamp and that isn't ment to be mean in any way:). it's not that asembling the lamp is that hard but you didn't have tools that would make this alot easier like wire strippers. it's just that electrical projects can be scary if you accidently switch wires or don't secure them corectly and get shocked:). but is admire your detemination with making this lamp project and seeing as in writing this half way im realy looking forward to the result:). yupe that looks super cute:D and yea that sounds like the base of every project. can i finish this project in this amount of time? yes if the circumstances are right:p but it looks rewly cute:D.

    I was just as pleasantly surprised! Honestly, I kept putting off this project because I was a little nervous to put together the lamp itself, but it ended up being so easy (if not a little confusing at first).

    i can imagine:) electronics can be confusing sometimes but ones you know how it works it just seems to click in your mind. but yea putting of projects that seem hard is a familiar thingXD. that's also why i have multipull sewing projects at the moment:). when i get to a hard bit with a plushy i go back to my corset projectXD, or i start a new plushie all together:p.

    Hy..thnks for that..I have some questions first can u tell me exact length and number of cords u used in each tier...!? Second I don't have steel rings I have plastic ones..Can it work.!? Plastic is little wobbly so how can I firm the rings so that they hold the weight of chandelier.!? Plz answer me.thnks..✨🙌🏻

  • @gettheetothestitchery

    @gettheetothestitchery

    Hi! I think using plastic rings would work just fine, as long as the weight of the lamp isn't too heavy for them. Even the metal rings were a bit wobbly at first - they just took a lot of adjustment to get right. As far as the length and number of cords, I have no idea! I was just winging it as I went!
