Stock removal doesn't equal forged. Nice work though.
thats a huge knife for a survival one
Very cool knife
It's really awesome
You’re a legend for forging a titanium knife
Wow wish I courld buy two of thoes knife with a sharpest edge possible
Dude. That knife would be the envy of my collection. I love that you powder coated the scales. Looks like a nice flat or low gloss black.
@BonifabcustomRobBonifacio

ManCraftingTM thanks buddy, ya it’s a flat black powder coat
Good your knife
suggestion: Incorporate a bottle cap opener shape into the butt end of the blade. Also, engrave the initials of the owner and your logo/trademark on the handle so appraisers can authenticate your work.
I love this knife. I would love one for when I'm out in the woods camping.
Bro make video of full of hand forge knife its make you famous

Where's the part of you cutting aluminium with that titanium knife? Or is your thumbnail just click bait?
@BonifabcustomRobBonifacio
4 жыл бұрын
awp20rokhum just funny click bait , i made the knife for a customer so didn’t want to mess with his but i did extensive testing on other titanium knives and cut aluminum with it and took a 2lb sludge hammer to it and it doesn’t break . Thanks
@ninjahunterx7497

Here, obviously it doesn't cut like in the thumbnail but it shows the toughness of it compared to others. kzread.info/dash/bejne/kahl06Spl6y3obQ.html
I love this because you hear allot that titanium is this extremely hard material to work with . You made it look easy.
neat. won't hold an edge very well though
00:36 - "5 mm thick"? Finally I don't have to divide/multiply by 2.54, thanks! :)
That handle is thick as hell

Good 👍
I’ve been around metal smithing my entire life, I’ve been blacksmithing for the last 8 years or so and I’ve been making knives for the last 3-4 years. I’ve also been lucky enough to learn from some great people like Jerry McClure and Tom Ward. There are a couple things that drove me to write a comment. First, because your primary bevel is so short on that blade you’ve limited how well it will perform in cutting tasks. Such an obtuse angle is well suited for an axe, not a knife. Also, if you had extended the bevel up the blade you would have decreased the weight significantly which can be an important factor in a survival knife. And that leads into my next point. If the blade was lighter then you wouldn’t have needed all that material for your handle scales to balance it properly, which would have allowed you to make a handle that wasn’t nearly as blocky. That size and shape is going to be very difficult to control, and you can see in the video that it’s hard for you to get your hand all the way around it. These are things that are very important when it comes to making something functional.

Ethan Hansen thanks for your comments , but this knife was specifically designed by my customer he wanted that exact size and shape and angle for the blade he had specific details in the knife design and i made it according to what he wanted . That being said i personally would have also made the knife blade angle more gradual and for my hand the knife handle smaller but for my customer it fits him perfectly I’ve been in this business for 25 years and i hope by now i know a little about knife making 😊

I think it's because his customer wanted a "survival knife." Kind of like a do it all knife that he could actually chop wood, skin animals, and have it for self defense. Kind of like a do-it-all knife that is smallish.
sir I really like your videos

Many, many years ago when I was in school, my dad brought me home a titanium bolt (MISTAKE: IT WAS A TUNGSTEN BOLT ~ I think old age has crept up on me. My thanks go to Christie Mairy who pointed that out.) and gave it to me. I took it to metal shop and was unable to generate a single spark from any of the various different grinders in metal shop. All I succeeded doing was shining it a little bit. This means for anyone attempting this forging that alloy must weaken the titanium's veracity or you will need to sink a bunch of money into various belts and cutting bits. Of course, that bolt had been tempered and so it was considerably harder to work with.

@Christie Malry Guess what? You are correct I made a mistake it was tungsten not titainium. I am going to edit my comment notifying this error.

hi thanks for watching
steel of the same volume is way tougher also harder also easier to harden and temper. but hay titaneum sounds cool i guess
I'd kill for a sword made from titanium the same style as my current sword made from hardened, high carbon steel.
Looks really strong knife.. Nice
great I've always wanted to be the owner of a titanium knife because here it's just plated in French .Wonder full job

Very nice knife especially scale good job

Looks nice. It looks like it would be a very uncomfortable knife to wield. The scales look, in my opinion, like they could be reduced by half their thickness. What were the end result dimensions?

That handle looks big!!! Gonna have some serious forearm pump hitting things with that.
What special tooling did you need to build this knife? I’m not sure if I’m a big fan of it. I think that is one I would have to hold and see in person before I would consider buying it.
This kind of bone crusher really blows my mind. If affordable, I want to buy one.
I would want a katana made out of titanium carbon ceramic stainless steel and aluminum that would be nice!!!!
New supporter here..i love the video...hope to win one of you knife
Titanium by itself isn't better than steel. It's way lighter than steel though and you can get some awesome alloys.
