11:50 I bet if you'd use one of those slightly rounded dough scrapers (for making bread), to smooth out that epoxy clay while the machine is running, you'd be able to get the seam to be nearly imperceptible.

That turned out really nice, Iam really surprised how quiet it is. That rubberized coating really worked good.

I have buddies who've done similar modifications for cleaning large amounts of cartridge brass for reloading. Nicely done good sir

Hello, I just thought that I would add that they make a rubberized paint that is also sound and vibration dampening.

That's nice I'm planning on making one but was curious if bondo would work to seal the drum

should work fine. Just make sure you smooth it out good.

How about the comp dust getting to the electric motor? Is it a brushless motor? And also the metal gearing, some comps are friction sensitive, Metal to metal is a no no hate to get a build up of comp and boom! Also speed control, it is very important to have control over drum rotation during rolling process.

the comp and cores are too wet too catch on fire in the roller and the dust isnt a big deal unless you spill 3 pounds of comp and fill the entire room up with dust the brushes in the motor do not create enough too ignite a tiny bit of dust in the air ive been doing this for a while with a drill motor and havent had any problems i have even rolled stars using flash powder as long as everything stays damp you will be fine!

Ive seen this before and had always wanted & will eventually build one. Are you worried at all about the paint wearing and contaminating your comp?

Never thought about a problem with that. I guess it’s possible but probably not an issue

I wouldn't exactly say you "made" a cheap star roller... but to each his own

It wasn't a cheap star roller before... He therefore made it into a cheap star roller.

The Concrete Mixer was $169 + tax. Then there was the price for the bolts and paint. I already had the epoxy. It was right at $200.00

you could have used body filler for that.
