Awesome! I'm 58 and I am just starting to learn this! I'm so excited to break it out and freak out my wife and daughter at some upcoming family event... I know I will embarrass the shit out of myself but too bad... I'm gonna make sure that when I die that this is something they can all laugh about and remember. And damn if it isn't a great workout too.

Hey, you won't embarass yourself as you're only just learning. You'll be fine. I only started "Shuffling" last year, about 12 months ago now. Prior to that the only time I did the running man and the Melbourne Shuffle was back in my clubbing/raving days in the early 90's. Ha! And now I'm learning all these new and fantastic moves. And these days EVERYONE is shuflling, from young kids to that Korean guy in his 70's. There's hope for us!! :) And its a great form of excercise too. Helps keep you fit. I practice at the gym during quieter times. Everyone's doing their own thing there anyway so I don't feel embarassed practicing there. I workout then do a shuffle session. It's great. Great fun too. Good on you for taking this up Chris. All the best and keep practicing, over and over. I found that even though some moves seem near impossible, over time with loads of practice I finally get my body doing the moves. :)

@@rick_terscale1111 Rick! Thank you for the positivity. It sure helps. I have noticed a physical change already. I actually used to play hack sack (footbag) professionally in the early 80s (actually played for and was sponsored by Whamo, and even participated in the 84 Olympic Demo team in L.A.) so if I can untangle my feet I will surely get some shuffle skills in there. Thanks again.

Hey, man. I think it's gonna be great. I'm also hoping to embarrass myself a lil bit by busting out at a family event. Just be good to your knees!!

Having a strong core is important for overall stability and control of your body as you're shuffling. It can also help prevent injury to your spine and leg joints. Fantastic advice as always Emylee!! "Noice and toight" ... LOL ... are you a Kath n Kim fan by any chance? :D

Honestly I think it depends. I went out and bought a pair of Nike air Max 97s as is a shuffler’s fave and they did not work for me. Way too narrow!! Currently breaking in Nike Blazer Mid 77s and yes at first they felt slightly ick but they are feeling better day by day.
