In this video I show you four ways which you can use to make your photographs epic in seconds using the brand new Photoshop Beta AI Generative Fill tool. This is a game changer and has changed the whole photography industry.
Generative Fill uses AI technology to recreate areas of a photograph and does it so well that you can't even tell that it has been used. This is huge news for photographers and I believe will have a huge impact on the whole photography industry.
Please let me know your thoughts on the new Photoshop Beta and generative fill tool in the comments!

The last Quince photoshoot I chose 3 photos for generative fill. I gave them the standard edit, and also the AI edit. I said this is me playing with AI to show the new times. They loved it!
Last image with the reflection in the water looks absolutely incredible!

Thank you! I wish it wasn't that easy though....!
A little tip, you don't need to say "make" or "add". It doesn't use command/instruction prompts. How it works is it ignores whatever you selected, as if that's a blank part of the photo, and generates something in that area based on the prompt and the rest of the image. So if you draw a rectangle below a subject for a reflection, you'd just type "reflection".
Last step photoshop needs is a generative chat function within the program itself trained to tutor people on photoshop tips and tricks. Instantly removing any barriers to learning/using photoshop and we enter brave new world.
The future is a combination of scary and exciting

Perhaps the scariest part is that this technology is so astonishing in just its infancy.
Neil love it mate! For expansion I find doing section by section works better and give more detail give it a go. As always love your work!!!
In regards to the resolution, iirc it only uses 1080p on the longest edge so as long as you do things in smaller sections then you should get higher resolution images. There are obviously still limitations though. What I like to do though is do one big selection and then do smaller selections to regenerate parts with higher resolution images. You won't end up with same result though. Another thing is if you do it in sections then you often times get better results with what it comes up with especially for smaller details like fences.
Still CRAZY mate. The reflection shot went from a park to the lake district haha. Completely nuts
Great videos, Neil. In other demos, I've seen people type "remove" in the box and get an actual removal instead of a new person.
Really AMAZING!!!!!!!! Thanks for the video. Wedding editors be afraid!!
Amazing video again,you are outstanding
The composite side looks like it could be lots of fun for far out art.
2:33 You can 100% see the join, it stands out like a giant bright square.....
Generative fill is insane. Its digital Magic.

It really is!
I’m on the fence too. I think being able to quickly do things that once would have taken hours of intensive work is fine because basically all it’s doing is saving us time, but I’m not sure about totally changing an image. I guess that’s where transparency will be key, admitting that it’s AI. As you said though you still need a great base image to work on whatever the final result so I don’t know that professional photographers will need to panic too much yet. I guess only time will tell

There was similar discussion regarding compositions, where elements of different photos are joined together to create a new digital art. I used this term, because as stated in the video, it is not photography as such. And the possibility to remove things or correct issues with ease is great.
THE SIGN!!!!!!!! 🤯

I know - I couldn't believe it!
Here is something nuts. Start a new project with a white background, or transparent background, then make rough selections, prompt what you want piece by piece. Make a video about it lolol.

That’s a good suggestion! I’ll give it a try and if it works, I’ll make one 😂
What photoshop is this pls
I have mixed feelings about it. I love it that it can do things for you what normally costs lots of work, but for the creativity part I don’t like it so much. We set us self apart with our mirrors, prisma’s and flashes. We developed an eye for it and it takes a lot of practicing. Now every one can do it with one click and call him self a creative photpgrapher.
Maybe in case of reflection you shoud type "mirror reflection" or something like that?)
Crazy new world....
Changeing
Epic video. Can't wait to put kittens all over the brides-dress and make it to the Brides Magazine :D
It is limited in parts - but my god it's fun at times
Photoshop needs to embed AI added in exif info , of images
That is absolutely great to say the least, BUT it is also bad news for graphic designers and photographers, too. The reason is obvious.
which photoshop
aaayyy
WARNING!!!!! The first example is NOT seamless. I watched this on my Samsung TV and bec the screen is lighter n shite you can easily see the seams! So don't be fooled. Take wayyy more time analyzing. in fact i recommend using the exposure to up it to help see these things. Just imagine thinking yay it's done. and printing it out huge, what a waste of $$££ EDIT: now after watching the entire video, i can say every single example had a kind of fade line, so far from "perfect" it's amazing, but don't let the excitement cloud your judgment

I've watched a lot of these type of videos and the solution to his/this problem is to blur the edges of the original selection before applying AI. It then becomes seamless if you blur it correctly at least as far as I can tell
@DynastyUK

@@benspalding416 great, i haven't tried that. I've just been either applying it again around the edges or manually editing. I've noticed when people add hats or whatever to portraits the black backgrounds it creates are usually a slightly different value, its easy for people to overlook. When it can look obviously bad on another monitor

Good spot! I didn't see this at the time but you are right - thank you! Any lines can be easily removed in seconds by using the patch tool but you are right, that particular example was not seamless straight out of the can as it were

@@NeilRedfern :) I've already seen people post photos with these lines in them, especially with black backgrounds eeekk😁😁 I hope it doesn't make people too lazy haha

@@DynastyUK I like the fact it will be a sneaky way of seeing who is using AI! Haha
It’s incredible technology but it can’t capture the moment or the emotion. Yet.

I do believe that people will always value authenticity and real human made art with individuality and personality - something which AI can’t offer

@@NeilRedfern i also would agree with that
For commercial work yes, absolutely. But if your an artist absolutely not. If you use AI you are not an artist. You can call yourself a generative filler.
If you don't have an eye and don't know how to produce a strong image, this new tool will not make you a good photographer. All this hype is crap. Just for the record
