During a recent photoshoot, I discovered a fantastic tourist attraction as my backdrop. These tools allowed me to clean up imperfections and add elements that were missing during the shoot. They took my images to a whole new level, providing me with creative possibilities I could only dream of before, that would’ve been hours spent in editing. These tools served as a time-saving solution for tasks like compositing and editing. Going forward, I plan to continue using this AI tool to complement my artistic vision and editing style, even if its capabilities evolve over time.

Generative fill has helped me loads in my retouching. But its a tool like no other. Ive found its great for smaller jobs. eg: I did a model shoot and I had grey fringing from the backdrop around the hair and I couldnt get a good cut out. I got it close, then use generative fill to tidy it up and remove the fringing. Looks great now. Basically used it as a fancy "remove" tool.

AI is a great tool, but people mistake its versatility for excellence. A craftsman is only as good as his tools, but a novice with the best tools can't replace a craftsman that has mastered his.

@@hadensnodgrass3472 Exactly. I was saying to a friend recently that this PS update means we will see a lot more great but also alot more bad Photoshop jobs. As those who are already skilled will be able to make stuff quicker and better, but so many people will just use the AI and call it a day without putting in the extra work needed.

So many think Ai is going to be a 1 click solution. I hear people saying that ANYONE can now do the stuff that we took years to learn. I think that is a false statement, Ai is a tool for us to use in our workflow, but it will never be 100% accurate or do exactly what we require. Also the main stumbling block for people who don't know the basics in Photoshop, is when a client wants a certain part changed, if they try to recreate it in Ai, they won't get the exact image they 1st produced, so now they will be stuck on how to fix the issues

And like you, I have had to go in and tweak things with extra work a lot of the time. I really don't know why it fills empty spaces with distorted people all the time - that should be eliminated from all results, nobody wants people added in when they're so mutated. Just inanimate objects and nature, please.

But now i m relaxed because I checked most of the Ai tools and they were helping the designers and developers, not replace the human beings because even for AI, a tech person can do creative stuff. The only cons is that like many clients and companies thinking that they can hire low level budget interns because they now thinking that anybody can do this work but soon, everone will realise that god made the humans and humans still facing all the challenges and so called AI will be fall badly

AI excels at repetitive, data-driven tasks, while humans bring creativity, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and adaptability to the table. As a result, many job roles will evolve to focus on tasks that require human skills, allowing you to adapt and collaborate with AI systems rather than being replaced by them.

When AI works perfectly : WOW, look how amazing this is! When AI isn't perfect: SEE?! Your job is safe!

Unmesh, you're a fantastic teacher - but generative fill is new. it's still in beta. i guarentee you that the AIs are all being trained to create better renders, more accurate. Firefly itself is miles behind MidJourney and Stable diffusion. And both MidJourney and Stable can create perfect body parts. Stable does use specially trained models and MidJourney doen't have to, but the version of SDXL for stable that's getting ready to release in july won't need them either. once Firefly gets some fine tuning and a few more versions come out that are better trained, what you just showed won't happen. AI won't take your job, but someone that knows AI will take your job - keep that in mind. Bosses of companies don't want to run photoshop, they want someone else to do it. But within a year, generative fill will be so diffrent you'll have a hard time remembering when it messed up

SOme of these problems can be solved by Stable diffusion and upscaling. Wait another year and they will be fixed in PS natively.
