Awesome new features and amazing tutorial! Thank you so much Unmesh!
Brilliantly explained! Thank you so much for sharing these updates and new features!
Thank you! Always great tutorials!
One of the best on line teacher's, Thank you 😊
Thank you for the video!❤️
Absolutely brilliant as always - thank you kind sir
Thank you for another great clear, concise Photoshop tutorial. I often say, if Photoshop could talk it wouldn't be able to explain itself as well as Unmesh does. And I love the PiXimperfect Compositing plugin. Been using it since shortly after it was introduced. It saves me a lot of time and helps facilitate my creativity.
Thank you very much for this amazing tutorial :)
Fantastic as always!
Thanks. Informative, as always. Is there a way to use the new gradient tool to make ellipses for vignetting or spotlighting?
I'm using Generative Fill in my daily workflow since its release and I must say that, apart from giving hit or miss results (really, no in between), it's really a game changer and it made my work soooo much simple

Hi, Is there a way to make the Contextual Taskbar "sticky"? I know how to re-pin it in each session. But wish it would just stay there when I close then re-open Ps. I guess I could see if I can write an action to re-position, but would rather it sits where I put it b/wn logouts/ins. Thx
0:00 The amount of Layers go into this frame is insane. First, he recorded all the editing part in Photoshop, cropped so that it doesn't have any window's task bar. And then he masked himself into the photoshop canvas. That is crazy! 😮

hello, thanks for wonderful video summary (as always) of the new features which however are very time consuming on my windows PC which until now seemed adequate to me. Could you indicate which hardware solutions are more appropriate for such software considering people like me who are not professionals but just amateurs? Thank you Antonio

May I suggest the $2100 Mac Mini M2. It handles everything effortlessly.
I agree about Generative fill. It's not always good, comes up with weird things, especially in wildlife photos. If you are dealing with lots of branches and sometimes with water. I had to generate a few times with something descent, I am thinking why not this the first time. Plus, I had to make sure I have plenty of space and RAM on my laptop or it will crash.

@@ItsDylanBruh tweaking AI produced layers in PS is way easier than fixing the image by yourself from the scratch. The skill floor dropped so much it's funny. And I don't know how designers are managing to cope so hard by saying OH BUT IT'S NOT PERFECT DON'T YOU SEE. Well duh, this technology is new. I can't wait to hear what all of you will say one or two years later when they upgrade generative fill to the point when all you need to do to get a "eh decent enough" picture is to press "make it pop" button. It's just a matter of time when technology will get this advanced.

@@ItsDylanBruh that's the point, Adobe's AI is behind the curve and its already started making designers obsolete. Midjourney and other image generators in their current state can't replace anyone but artists. Adobe is on the right track, they are making out of Photoshop the one-in-all solution to all graphic problems that is super easy to use. The current problem is you still need some knowledge and skill to use AI effectively. But it's not gonna last this way for too long.

I feel like Adjustment Presets are just Color Lookup adjustment layers with new clothes and a wig on. 😂 Like, you could basically make your own group of adjustment layers before, and just save it as a Color Lookup Table to make your own preset. Which, apparently, we can't do yet with Adjustment Presets. Not that they're not handy, I'm just salty because a lot of my older projects used Color Lookup adjustment layers, and it seems like Adobe is phasing out support for that feature, so some of those layers are starting to act buggy. Great new feature breakdown, as always, Sir!
11:16 I had no idea you could have adjustable masks!

Generative fill is great but still very limited, with the stable diffusion extension you can do so much more and use specialized models with controlnet for amazing results. The only advantage PS generative fill has over stable diffusion is the fact that you don't need beefy hardware for it

Nice features! Congrats to Adobe for getting inspired for two features out of these from a program that doesn't ask for mothly rent and costs less than 2 months of Adobe rental to own a perpetual licence. Wonder if its trying to buy this company (that's certainly getting its attention!) and ruin it by putting it on a rental model or just killing it like it regularly does with any significant competition.
I got generative Fill on Photoshop regular verson
Why does generative fill make file sizes HUGE?? It made one of my photos that was 2mb, into a 2gb file that had to be saved in Large File Format! Every other file I've done generative fill edits to have also been huge files.

What video would help me edit a photograph where the person is in the shade on a sunny day. What would help me shift the skin from the more darker more magenta tone It has to a more golden hour look. For both lighter and darker skin tones. I was photographing a running race. And the sun was harsh. So I got in an area where the runners came through with lots of tree shade. But thought there would be enough sky light to illuminate the people. Kind of like a soft box. But now the background is light and sun lit and the people's skin is darker and more toward magenta than toward red and orange. Thank you.

@@Smoothblue90 actually it would be easier if I saw the image But anyways Try making and hue and saturation adjustment layer then in properties it should be master you have to change it from drop-down menu to magenta then reduce the saturation accordingly. For more professional results you can use curves and you can use red and opposite green channel. 2ndly to make a golden look you can use gradient map from below right corner there's a icon For more dramatic golden look you can use overlays and put them on screen blending mode Results will be awesome 👍

Ok. The problem with the tone curve and the HSL tools is that they only modify colors that are there. The PIXimperfect video "The Easiest Way to Get Rich Skin Tones in Photoshop" showed me what I wanted. A fairly easy way to select the skin based on its color without having to spend all night brushing. And then to create a solid color layer to basically paint over the skin. I pulled the red color he recommends slightly right to get a little less red and slightly more golden. I then created a brightness adjustment layer on the entire person instead of just the skin and that pulled them brighter. I will keep experimenting. But I am getting there. This is not automatic enough to work on a lot of people but good enough to work on a few of my more important images.
i love how theyre automatically making things non destructive.
Photoshop should have used Unmesh for the tutorial video thing
the new gradients are driving me nuts in that they don't seem to use the FG / BG color settings (it always seems to be the "wrong" white vs. black setting in mask mode), and get changed accidentally way to easily.
Photoshop Need Some New Feature- 1. Live Brush Preview 2. Color Warper Tool Like Davinci Resolve and 3D luts Creator 3. Auto Brilliance or Studio Light Like On1 Raw and Luminar Neo 4. Neon Effect 5. Curve Vanishing Point 6. Displacement Map 7. Shine Remove Camera Raw tool 8. Camera Raw Mask transfer to Photoshop Layer 9. Advance Face Retouch AI 10. Smart Object Filter Separate All Filter Apply and Many More Advance Feature Need Photoshop
Non Destructive Brush?
He Umesh! They forget soild-color with the adjustment layer icons again!! It`s only a decade or so... who is in a rush! :)
Unfortunately, starting with Photoshop 24.6.0 (I don't use beta) the Remove Tool stopped working. 90% of the time it just gives me large blocked-out pixels. I went to Adobe's help message board and found many other people are having the same problem. I hope it gets fixed soon with an update. (FYI - I am using a MacBook Pro)
We want lesson 8
How to get photoshop subscription without credit card...
When I go to Window > Adjustments.. I don’t get what you get.
I have a love-hate relationship with the contextual taskbar... It has a great usecase, but often it gets in the way of things. Either I want to see how it looks, without having this bar there or for example I want to make a selection and select more and more things... it just gets in the way of where I want to select new things. Why can't it be at the bottom of the screen... why does it have to be straight in your face? I get why, but more often than not, it's more annoying than useful
@Rangsk

At 5:19 he explains how to pin the contextual taskbar to a specific location, which sounds like what you were asking for?
i want that stupid contextual taskbar to be dockable. the thing is constantly in my way! i'm sick and tired of having to pin it EVERY SINGLE NEW IMAGE. I want to dock it and have it stay there forever unless I undock it.
When I use the remove tool it takes way too long to generate. I like the results I get but it’s difficult to keep a good work flow when it loads for like 7-10 seconds every time i brush over something. I prefer the spot healing tool that allows me to keep moving fast. Anyone know a fix for this? Because I do prefer the results of the remove tool?
photoshop beta version real or fake sir
Time indeed to say goodbye to Captain Jack Sparrow 😂😂😂
Thanks for great explanations. However, please, please slow down. The explanations are good, but the speed requires that I replay the video over and over again almost rendering the value of what you do as not worth the effort. An extra minute or two will enhance the value of what you present.

They ruined the select and mask tool though. It was the best selection tool and now I can't select people's hair or animal fur properly because the tool is simply messed up. Besides, I can no longer see the brush when using the select and mask tool even though the caps lock isn't activated.
It should be mentioned that generative fill only works with a resolution of 1024x1024. If the original image has a higher resolution, it does not match. So it might be ok for Instagram, but it's useless for professional use.
Recently, the Generative fill is getting worse and crashing too much unlike the first release.

HAHAHHAH you're right😅
while poor me using a black version because greedy photoshop doesn't offer a lifetime plan.
I realize it's still beta but it's a bit of a shame that every time I try to correct an image with female models in bikinis, or workout clothing, the AI refuses to even modify the background, saying the images violate user guidelines. It's not really intelligent if it can't even discern when a model is wearing clothing or not. So far we just have artificial stupidity. I am sure this will improve greatly in the coming months/years though. The tool shows a lot of promise, but for portrait photographers, there's not much usefulness yet.
