    I agree about Generative fill. It's not always good, comes up with weird things, especially in wildlife photos. If you are dealing with lots of branches and sometimes with water. I had to generate a few times with something descent, I am thinking why not this the first time. Plus, I had to make sure I have plenty of space and RAM on my laptop or it will crash.

    @@ItsDylanBruh tweaking AI produced layers in PS is way easier than fixing the image by yourself from the scratch. The skill floor dropped so much it's funny. And I don't know how designers are managing to cope so hard by saying OH BUT IT'S NOT PERFECT DON'T YOU SEE. Well duh, this technology is new. I can't wait to hear what all of you will say one or two years later when they upgrade generative fill to the point when all you need to do to get a "eh decent enough" picture is to press "make it pop" button. It's just a matter of time when technology will get this advanced.

  • @l1p0v

    @l1p0v

    @@ItsDylanBruh that's the point, Adobe's AI is behind the curve and its already started making designers obsolete. Midjourney and other image generators in their current state can't replace anyone but artists. Adobe is on the right track, they are making out of Photoshop the one-in-all solution to all graphic problems that is super easy to use. The current problem is you still need some knowledge and skill to use AI effectively. But it's not gonna last this way for too long.

    I feel like Adjustment Presets are just Color Lookup adjustment layers with new clothes and a wig on. 😂 Like, you could basically make your own group of adjustment layers before, and just save it as a Color Lookup Table to make your own preset. Which, apparently, we can't do yet with Adjustment Presets. Not that they're not handy, I'm just salty because a lot of my older projects used Color Lookup adjustment layers, and it seems like Adobe is phasing out support for that feature, so some of those layers are starting to act buggy. Great new feature breakdown, as always, Sir!

    Nice features! Congrats to Adobe for getting inspired for two features out of these from a program that doesn't ask for mothly rent and costs less than 2 months of Adobe rental to own a perpetual licence. Wonder if its trying to buy this company (that's certainly getting its attention!) and ruin it by putting it on a rental model or just killing it like it regularly does with any significant competition.

    What video would help me edit a photograph where the person is in the shade on a sunny day. What would help me shift the skin from the more darker more magenta tone It has to a more golden hour look. For both lighter and darker skin tones. I was photographing a running race. And the sun was harsh. So I got in an area where the runners came through with lots of tree shade. But thought there would be enough sky light to illuminate the people. Kind of like a soft box. But now the background is light and sun lit and the people's skin is darker and more toward magenta than toward red and orange. Thank you.

For more professional results you can use curves and you can use red and opposite green channel. 2ndly to make a golden look you can use gradient map from below right corner there's a icon For more dramatic golden look you can use overlays and put them on screen blending mode Results will be awesome 👍

    Ok. The problem with the tone curve and the HSL tools is that they only modify colors that are there. The PIXimperfect video "The Easiest Way to Get Rich Skin Tones in Photoshop" showed me what I wanted. A fairly easy way to select the skin based on its color without having to spend all night brushing. And then to create a solid color layer to basically paint over the skin. I pulled the red color he recommends slightly right to get a little less red and slightly more golden. I then created a brightness adjustment layer on the entire person instead of just the skin and that pulled them brighter. I will keep experimenting. But I am getting there. This is not automatic enough to work on a lot of people but good enough to work on a few of my more important images.

Either I want to see how it looks, without having this bar there or for example I want to make a selection and select more and more things... it just gets in the way of where I want to select new things. I realize it's still beta but it's a bit of a shame that every time I try to correct an image with female models in bikinis, or workout clothing, the AI refuses to even modify the background, saying the images violate user guidelines. It's not really intelligent if it can't even discern when a model is wearing clothing or not. So far we just have artificial stupidity. I am sure this will improve greatly in the coming months/years though. The tool shows a lot of promise, but for portrait photographers, there's not much usefulness yet.
