good job it looked very nice

That would look a hell of a lot better if you weren't so damn reliant on hot glue. It's got its uses, but it's messy AF. You'd have been better off using superglue or epoxy resin.

Depends: Special editions of games? Not at all. Plastic of something of the hardware store? Depends (again): If you haven't stuffed your house full of it, so your house basically won't be "lifeable" anymore, then nope.

It's cool, but is there a cleaner alternative to hot glue that wouldn't take forever to set?... because the only thing about that build I can see that counts against it's awesomeness are the glue blobs
@bersercker
8 жыл бұрын
Andrew Howe you can trim it a bit or use less glue, is all up to your dedication.
@tow96
8 жыл бұрын
Andrew Howe for the metal parts you could sauter them with a sautering iron, I gues it would look even bettern due to the type of object
@DustFilmsOriginals
8 жыл бұрын
Andrew Howe Nothing really beats the ease of use with hot glue with the speed but you could do the whole thing with super glue and an accelerant too. Anything else would just take forever to set I think.
@MisterTingles
8 жыл бұрын
Andrew Howe it's kinda alright, cuz it's meant to look a little rinky-dink, but you can always clean up at your own discretion. sodering is kinda out of the question since it's mostly plastic. super-glue might work just as well, but can also look aweful and might react even with some of the plastic. work with what you got...
@andrewhowe7950
8 жыл бұрын
yeah, I figured out some of that, but I'm funny with the little details. not only that the one in the video looked cool, but I'm assuming based on prior experience that one that I made would be less well put together... I like this stuff, but I could make a mess with lego :(
looks pretty cool to me

you could wire a relay in by itself to rapidly blink and then you add some glow in the dark in a couple of areas so it could look like some areas to looks like it dimming when other parts just go dark

Nice! I am also making Iron Man 3D models and finished mark 1 arc reactor
When I made my latest arc rectors, for the light ring I took clear 1/4 in Plexiglas and took a circular drill bit and cut out a hole, then went a couple bit sizes bigger and cut out the ring, then I used my dremel to sand it down and make it opaque and murky, my latest arc reactor, I drilled in 1/2 way into the ring in several areas and inserted 3mm LEDs and wired them all in parallel
awesome!!!!!
