I found one of those in my mom's nightstand, it seems to be broken, doesn't light up but vibrates like crazy.

@DIY Fake STUFFS 🤯 Just too bad it's not on sale anymore. Oh well, 3-D printer to the rescue.
I wouldve personally used a flash from a disposable camera. 1) because it flashes as bright as it does in the film, 2) it makes the same charging up sound and 3) the electronics for it are quite simple.

Also using a neon light rather than an LED for the red light would look much more authentic.

it would probably need a stronger battery and it would drain it in no time.
@IttyBittyVox

What a flash drain a lithium ion button cell quickly? I doubt it. Flashes are typically driven by charging a capacitor to drop the voltage all at once. The current is very low. Typically they are measured in watt seconds and come in pretty low.

You'd have a hard time stuffing the circuit board into that tube, though I guess you could take it all apart and wire up all of the components loose.
@dumbpup

The flash circuit for a disposable camera is quite large, and working with capacitors can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.
I like how you find parts that are basically finished. So smart.

*😎 I own Agent J’s MIB II Neuralyzer.* Sony Studios lent Master Replicas their Neuralyzer for detailed examination & measurements to make 1000 exact prop replicas from the movie. It’s shiny metal constructed with month day & hour dials, the top blue light, a green charge light & trigger. Pressing the clip springs up the Neuralyzer turning on the lights & sounds recorded from MIB’s post-production records. The Neuralyzer’s Xenon strobe flash is very bright. Using it kinda puts you in the movie itself.

Odin Abbott.... That is an awesome freaking name. You qualify to work for a Bond villain or to work as an inventory for a super secret spy agency. I loved this project. When I get my workshop set up again I am going to make this.

Odin is the reason this channel is still alive. Thank you Odin, my god.
I love Odin's props, always much more comprehensive and clean-looking final products than other videos. Keep it up!
Wait, why did the video just end after the intro? "Hi I'm Odin, and welcome to DIY prop shop" and then the end screen just rolled by. Weird.

Well the point of a tutorial is to show you how to do it, not to show what the prop looks like. And this tutorial relies on you already having certain items which people without access to walmart won't have.
