    My Son watched this video for 3 days straight (6 yrs old) and led me to Home Depot and Ave Hardware to snag up all the pieces - we kept it at about $40 and have leftover materials ! So that’s awesome , we built it in about 3 hours to make and he is in HIS GLORY !! Super cool !! Thanx so much !

    Gavin Wilkins shoepolish will give it a darker metal shine/look, but yeah, you're gonna have black smudges on the edges where you can't really wipe it off

    I decided not to count stuff I already have especially tools since I figure anyone who tries to make this already had some DIY experience. But spray paint is usually around $3 and I think that glue gun was $10 :)

  • @satibel

    @satibel

    9 жыл бұрын

    Dustin McLean Saimeren the glue itself is 10-15$/ kg too, so no big deal, good spray paint is 5-7$ though, but you probably won't use the whole can. and most of the stuff used here, you can get used, or you may have it around (dowels, bottles, nuts etc...) I think this can be done for under 10$ if you have the tools and scrap laying around.

    Alex The Kaiser you probably shouldn't use glue sticks that are that old though. they cant hold as well, and may clog up your glue gun.

  • @TheSUPERPOTATO2000

    @TheSUPERPOTATO2000

    KZread didn't "buy" them. Erik never owned Indy Mogul in the first place. He made the pilot for NextNewNetworks and then they funded it as a show. Think of it more as a TV show than anything. When the network isn't getting as much out of a show as they want to, they cancel it. Although Backyard FX ended way before the channel itself was ended.

    If you take a dark brown stain and thin it with mineral spirits you can "wash" paint it onto the metal areas. then after its dry spray silver onto a rag to "Dry brush" back up to silver on the raised area of the steel. this will give the metal more of a grimy oily look.

    SuperSMT I don't think it will be too expensive, it's just the time you need to spend on figuring out how the mechanic works. same materials and add some screws on the joints might be an easy way, controlled by strings.
