Given me some good ideas. If you used the light setting where the lights flash in sequence and appear to be moving, you could then loop it through the holes in such a way that the lights all move towards the centre and would look more movie realistic... Great job though.

You can use a Tin command box, thicker plastic window and the other steps you used. I made a Flux Capacitor, Mattel hover-board, and Marty McFly outfit! I made them when I was 10, 13, & 15.
I made a flux Capacitor for my dads birthday yesterday and he loved it.
I've watched like 12 of these videos in a row, I need to stop
You could really up the production value by swapping out the cardboard for a cheap metal lunch box, or even a plastic one. I'd need to look up some numbers, but I'm also pretty sure you could lower the cost and increase the accuracy by getting LED strip lights and putting them in some simple clear plastic tubing; $17 for a box of rope lights, half of which you're not even using, is a pretty big waste on this project.
Great Scott! This is Amazing!
you're my hero Dustin ! thanks so much for all your videos. Merci ✌

I love how in the background of the video he already has one =)
If you wanted to go the extra mile you could replace the rope light with some vinyl tubing and try to fish some LEDS into it and make them blink with an arduino. But yours is really cool too and easy so I might try it out.
it's just shining...not fluxing : /

When the Delorean hits 88mph the flux copacitor emits a bright light instead of fluxing, so technically it is accurate. Big it looks better fluxing

awesome! only suggestion that everyone is commenting about is that it is not fluxing. Probably could use LED strips that have a strobe function. I have some decorated around my room that changes colors and can strobe with a remote
I made one and it turned out pretty well

Oh hell!! This is the ultimate pièce de ré·sis·tance!!!!
Here's a prop idea that doesn't get a lot of attention but I think would be an interesting and fun build: A PKE Meter to go with your Ghost Trap. And for something a bit more recent: How about Batman's Grappling Hook gun from the animated series?

All of your props are amazing! Another cool idea would be the black futuristic Nike bag from BTTF 2. It could probably be made out of cardboard concrete tubing. Just an idea. Keep up the good work!
again cardboard... Get a plastic container, won't show thows "waves" that cardboard has

Ha I like it! I was going to source parts to build a more screen accurate prop replica but... I'm lazy. I might just modify this version instead. Thanks for the idea!
Huge back to the future fan this is cool 😊
This is great, great low cost prop!!!
Okay now I just need you to build the entire Hill Valley and I’m good
Hello Dustin, I am a huge diy person, and a fan of all things cardboard! I loved homemade movies, and now am addicted to "diy prop shop"! I was wondering if you could show us how to make a stormtrooper blaster, or Han Solo blaster. I am a huge Star Wars and Back to the Future fan!
Awesome I’m a back to the future fan
its awesome. good work and very simple
Oh sweet! I totally have to make one of these to live in my car!
🎵 and yall never see me agaaaaaaaaiiin🎵
And back to the Future is my favorite movie
Instead of a cardboard box i used an old first aid kit made out of plastic! :D Works perfect.
Just found this from another site. Great job!
Perfect
Awesome, thanks man!
This is so cool! Could you use battery powered lights would love to have this in my car!!!
Direct from Brazil
WOW!I love this movie some mush!
Okay, so just a note: The spray paint isn't the problem, the rubbery tube just doesn't adhere very well to the spray paint. Great build! 😄😃
I watched this video so many time its like a drug to me to this video
Nice prop. I like this one. Tomorrow Iam sending you back to the future...
Awesome video! I noticed that the first time you plugged it in, the lights appeared to be "fluxing". How did you get that effect? Thanks!
@DustFilmsOriginals
4 жыл бұрын
I think it was just a weird effect caused by the frequency of the lights and the shutter speed of the camera.
Great scott! next tutorial: Build your own Back to the future- Time machine for 1.000.000 $ only!
I really dig these videos!
That is really great!
Actually watched this last night. Haha
