The problem with flat filters like LeafGuard is that you have to keep them swept to avoid the issue shown here. Traditional gutters without filters can accumulate a certain level of debris and keep on draining properly. The flat filters can't, so you pretty much have to sweep after every big storm. Not a very good deal, in my opinion.

Exactly what you can expect except they don’t show the granules that gradually come off the shingles building up on the screen shelf also. Just hire someone to come and do it once a year.

You don't need gutter guards need to just trim your trees and at least it's a lot easier to clean the minutes on top not inside the gutter

That's the problem with Leaf Filter and their "guarantee" that your gutters won't clog - the gutters don't clog, just the screen over the gutters. If you complain to Leaf Filter, they say the "gutters" are not clogged. Technically that's true, but their product doesn't stop the problem. Don't buy their product.

Most gutter guards are flat or pretty much flat. Just realize that you'll need to clean them regularly, unless you get something installed at the pitch of the roof (or steeper) to prevent accumulation.

not just pine needles but also pollen build up will have you going up on the latter for cleaning so USELESS!

The man cant speak clearly, and moves the phone away. Cant hear.

so if it is safe to walk on your low pitch roof why not just clean them out on your own. saves time and money. you bought into a scam business.

So, what's funny is, you and the customer both know LeafFilter has a lifetime money back no-clog guarantee, yet, instead of contacting LeafFilter to get satisfaction, you've sold the customer on spending money with you. I believe that about sums it up. 😆 Never tear down your competition. It doesn't ever go well.

You honestly think so little of the homeowner that you think they didn't try that first? For years? This is by no means an isolated incident. Have you ever actually read the Leaffilter contract? Says their lifetime guarantee only covers the interior of the gutter, not the cover and service after the first year is done for a FEE. Let the record show this project was more than 3 years ago as of this date, they've not had a service call since changing out for MasterShield and they have referred us to others.

@@LeaflessJim ...you're not being honest. To start, how does one warranty, "the interior" of a gutter? LeafFilter, 'the product' protects the interior of the gutter from clogging and overflowing. The warranty is on the product itself. In re-reading the warranty, there is no mention of any fees. So, what you said is patently false. Have a nice day. 😁

Wow, a lot has happened since this thread! Looks like LeafFilter was finally sued for selling a product that doesn't work and causes damage to homes by not letting the water in. They had to pay up because they were scamming folks. They tried a few redesigns but still the same poor performance.
