Good video! I would add don't forget to check gear oil in rear end. Bought mine from a course and rear end was drastically low.

Don't use SeaFoam, use StarTron instead, it is the best for small engines. Also change the spark plug. The model before was the G22, they had issues. The Yamaha G29 Drive is the best model to buy. Great video, thanks.

You forgot to lube the secondary clutch in the rear. In FL we only get about 3-4yrs on a battery, from the heat.

Oil in the air box means there's something wrong, usually motor oil was over filled. Yamaha 357 holds one quart.

That is a myth that you can't switch from synthetic oil back to regular oil. What you can't switch back from is the high mileage oils that are recommended for engines with over 75,000 miles. They have additives that swell seals to reduce leaking. If you stop using that type oil the seals will start leaking again. It is best not to use high mileage oils in vehicles that do not have very high mileage, which golf carts will never have. Synthetic oils are superior to regular oils and can be used in small engines without concern. Always use the recommended viscosity or weight suggested by the manufacturer, for example 10W30. As for gasoline, use non-ethanol gasoline in small engines. Add Stabilizer to fresh fuel if that fuel might sit in the tank several months. Bad fuel with ethanol is horrible for small engines. It will cause problems eventually and require repairs. Ethanol fuel works in cars only because car engines typically burn a tank of fuel within a week or month at most.

I work on golf carts for a living stay away from a G29 they have a cheap junk transaxles in them from 2007 to 2017, in 2018 they went back to a Dana style rear. G16 and G22 were the best carts Yamaha made hands down, they both have the same engine, if you change a coil in a G29 you have to unbolt the motor to get to it G29's are a nightmare. I am talking gas not electric.

Susan, very little does. Sadly, usually they are use once then throw away. I have a Craftsman edger that I have done the maintenance on for years and it is 33 years old. Finally had to change the carb due to old age, but other than blades and oil, spark plug, air filter it has lasted. One thing to make your stuff last is to keep it out of the weather. Susan, with a few tools, you can do everything that needs to be done to the cart to make it last. Oil changes and a few other things require only basic tools.

The clutch is called a continuously variable clutch. The faster the engine speed the smaller the pulley becomes there by increasing the speed of the cart. One bad thing about the fuel injected, is you have to know a lot about it and have the correct tools to work on it. With the carb, you can fix it a lot cheaper. Also the fuel injected requires a high pressure fuel pump. Good job on the video. Liberals are a waste of good air!
