Main Street - Pop Songs Medley (International 2015)

Музыка

Watching this again and have watched it again many times. I happened to be one of the 15 judges on that panel at that event and am pretty certain I gave that the highest score I've ever given a quartet in contest. And, having seen it again many times I'm so thankful that is true and I probably should have given it a few more points. :) Well, actually, I didn't have many left I could possibly give anyway. So entertaining and well sung!

I don’t listen to barbershop regularly or anything but those chords man! They pierce through me and it just feels incredible. That last chord of the song specifically, holy cow it’s so good. They have the most smooth voices that blend so well.

Im a little drunk while writing this, but... How come I'm not finding any hype in the comments about what they did between 5:03 and 5:44 ?!? I mean... They had a 40 second break, after which they were able to hit their target chord straight on, without slipping from their key at all. And the most brilliant parts about it are the things I didnt even hear on the first listen-through. During that break, they are vocalizing their key in small snippets, but their banter is engaging enough that you dont even notice it! Again, Im a bit tipsy right now but that just struck me as genius gold.
