It's frustrating how judges don't take sibling partners seriously and only look for romantic/sexual chemistry. Not everything is about those things; sometimes the most beautiful moments are between family.

This dance holds so much meaning. Look at how Alex always places his hand on his sister's back, supporting her. Look at that move where she "falls" on her knees and he helps her back up again. Look at their mirrored movements, signifying their teamwork. Look at their expressions. Combine that with the song and you really get the emotions of an older brother wanting the world for his sister. You can just feel how much this performance meant to them.

I recommend watching the silver and gold as well. This was a tight competition certainly but the French and the Canadians have consistently been the top 2 teams in the world, each of them getting a world record while here. Ice dance is definitely the hardest to understand the scoring because it all looks so good, and I think Gabrielle and Guillaume were probably a little overscored in the short dance, but their free program was fantastic, as were both programs by Tessa and Scott. That being said, Weaver and Poje of Canada are actually my favorite ice dancers overall. This whole performance was absolute perfection. All of it is amazing, but the first part, up to 1:30 specifically makes me gasp. The immaculate timing, seamless flowing movement and profound artistry and storytelling in that section was worth the gold in my mind. I’ve seen the gold winning performance and it is spectacular, but to me, it falls flat in the artistic interpretation of the music - they keep moving so quickly and trying to fit in a thousand complicated and impressive steps even when the music slows down and the piece would have seemed to call for more flowing, graceful movements. Alex and Maia flawlessly interpreted the music here and still performed all the steps perfectly. In my mind, exceptional athletes push themselves to do everything that can physically be done; but exceptional artists know that just because something can be done, doesn’t mean it should - they know when and how to move with the music and they BECOME the piece they are performing. Alex and Maia are legendary artists.

I remember watching this live and immediately set it to record to show my wife the next day. Something about this with them made me happy in my mind and I felt that it needed to be shared. Great performance and a great way to get an Olympic medal.

I am shocked to learn that they only got a bronze! I couldn’t take my eyes off of that performance! It was so smooth, unique, and the bond was illustrated beautifully. Oh my gosh. I’m wowed.

Dare I say I still think they have better twizzles than ANYONE in the game, including Scott and Tessa? They’re just so clean they give you chills. I just keep coming back to watch this and I get emotional every time.

I mean I am a complete sucker for all things Coldplay, so this program from the ShibSibs and Adam Rippon's free skate were basically everything I could ever want ever. "O" is probably my favorite song. Not just Coldplay, favorite song period.

Bell...I agree! It's beautiful. The NBC Sports version got taken down, probably because of copyright. Luckily someone posted a private-video version on here. In my opinion, Adam and the Shibs now "own" O. No one should even try to use this music. Won't compare.

The hug at the end...This program will always give me goosebumps, especially the last minute and a half of the performance. I do agree Tessa and Scott deserved the gold, but their program didn't give me goosebumps. It's all down to them, I can *feel * their joy of dancing, like she says. They were silver for me, but at this level it's almost a matter of tiny technical points. The french team had an amazing SP though, but the Shibs definitely owned them on the free dance. Off to watch again because why not. :D Thanks for uploading this one!

The thing that really stands out to me is the joy and completeness they radiate. It gives me complete goosebumps watching them fly across that ice, fully trusting each other and letting go of everything while hearing Coldplay chanting paradise in the background. They genuinely showed us their paradise. Thank you for this masterpiece.

I think ice skating is not just about attractions. It is more like an art, emotion, feeling, and all of the beauty in the dance. Especially in pairing, you and your partner need to be... connected. That is what makes them so beautiful to watch. They are connected
