To our Iolani Palace volunteers: Mahalo for all that you do!
As we celebrate #VolunteerAppreciationMonth this April, we’re filled with a deep and abiding sense of gratitude for the over 85 individuals who comprise our volunteer ohana. These incredible individuals work very hard to promote both the preservation and perpetuation of Hawaii’s history and culture while sharing their knowledge with visitors and kamaaina alike.
Volunteers are the heartbeat of The Friends of Iolani Palace. Whether they’re sharing their historical knowledge with visitors as Palace Docents or giving of their time in the Guest Services department, our volunteers make it possible for us to fulfill our mission to preserve, restore, and protect this wahi pana (sacred place).
We look forward to opening our doors, as well as welcoming new volunteers, very soon! In the meantime, we thank each and every one of the incredible volunteers who make it possible for us to share the story of Iolani Palace with the world.
