it for sure would do numbers, but its obviously never worth it for them to do something like that. brain trauma and all. like not even discussing whether they'd be interested in the sport, I'm pretty sure no one in chess would be willing to take this kind of risk headgear and gloves are both (counterintuitively) NOT helpful for reducing head trauma and actually just allow you to take more head damage over the course of a fight.

David Howell is a pretty sympathetic guy, if he'd just start to lie less or be more truthful to himself, it would probably be a real gamechanger for him. In the first half I thought the detector was off, but Magnus' opinion in the end convinced me that he actually felt that the machine knew him better than himself. He seems really surprised on almost all "lie" calls, but acknowledges almost all of them. Chessboxing tbh he seems extremely surprised.

I watched this when it came out and couldn't wait to watch your reaction video to it

We want you and Magnus together and let those questions be absolutely intuitive

I love how Magnus specified he has knocked over pieces "involuntarily", implying sometimes he does it on purpose 😂

Good entertainment, but hopefully people understand how unreliable polygraph actually is at detecting lying and how easy it is to both get a false positive reading and a false negative because the person is a good liar. Polygraph results are not even admissible in court, and APA is highly skeptical in polygraph being used for any assessment.

I think we have to acknowlegde that telling the truth is a very difficult thing, despite being the correct way it's always really hard to be vunaberable in front of everybody, Hikaru dissed the lies but I think they are really important. We need to protect ourselves, but hearing the man saying he is lying is the ultimate therapy, sometime we all lie to eachother and to ourselves and I bet you that the lies that were caught, will never exist again and that's a good thing, props to the shows creator this is an awsome thing :D
