I think thats pretty much how people generally think about a chess board, because they are thinking in the movement of the pieces and their pourpose not exactly how they look like. In my mental board i can just feel the pieces and their movement but there are no colors, just somewhat of an idea of shape

@@casoch3279 question is saying "chess streamer" not "chess player". He could very well think that Hikaru is an overrated chess streamer. But again, non-classy question, classy answer. I don't even care what his opinion is. Gotham has helped the chess community more than anybody has. And Hikaru helped making it more "GM-y" to the common viewer. Like, none of those two are overrated. They both contributed personally for people to like chess and that's amazing.

He is such a gentleman not wanting to shame gotham/ levi.

by his smile you can say he had someone's name in mind but he avoided 😂 callin out.

Magnus already said Hikaru is top online player in quick time controls (with Magnus being the better one) and he also acknowledged Hikaru is a big streamer. I think Magnus was thinking about Gotham or someone else, but not HIkaru.

We know how top players feel about Gotham and IM is not enough for them, and regarding the question, you need to remember how it is asked. When asked in such a way, only the biggest streamers will pop into the respondent's mind. So we know it will not be some small streamer. So now we just have to ask which biggest streamer do top players have an issue with in regard to their chess level? The biggest streamer that fits that description is Gotham. Now, ofc the STATISTICALLY CORRECT ANSWER mathematically speaking is probably some streamer no one is even thinking about, where we manage to calculate how overrated they are in each aspect using statistics. But right now we are guessing Magnus's answer so it has to be a name that pops into Magnus's head within a split second. The highest chance if we are guessing would be Gotham's name popping into his head. Ofc, if we go to smaller streamers like Botez sisters, etc., then yes they are contenders. But if there was a prize and we can only pick one likely answer (in Magnus's head), ofc the highest chance for us is to guess Gotham because he's a much bigger streamer who is not at GM level. You need to remember we are guessing Magnus's answer inside his head that he didn't say, so it's based on what we think popped into his mind in a split second. Imo, Hikaru and Gotham would be the first 2 names to pop into his head, but since he praised Hikaru's online chess a lot, by process of elimination, the best guess is Gotham.

Magnus has been a polite, mature individual since his boyhood. I still remember his first ever interview he gave to Chessbase. He was all of 16-17 years old back then, and upon reading that interview, I couldn't help but think, 'what a well-rounded kid'. He came off sounding like a well raised individual, and not an arrogant genius destined to become the world champion.

The board is colorless, 3D and floating, possibly meeting a few sharks, whales or Stockfish buddies?😅😅

I think it's normal for them to have no colors, it's the same for me for example if i Imagine Queen h3 to h7 i visualize the piece on h3 moving to h7, nothing else. The 3d One instead depends on where do you most play

Most GMs are bad players to him. He probably thinks about sub-GM players as little as possible. Ranking them is more work that he's willing to put in. No point in calling someone out if he hasn't actually thought of it.
