I have one in 30-30 7 1/2 inch bbl. 30-30 recoil is 7-9 lbs. 444 is 27-30 lbs. Big difference. There are pistols and there are pistols. I've seen a lot of top handguns, but my BFR is perfect no flaws no sharp edges, no problems what-so-ever. People always come up and want to see it. Gun nut magnet. Kind of like an English bulldawg = chick magnet. I'm proud to own one and feel blessed. Every BFR is handmade, and you can tell it as soon as you hold one. Mine is deadly accurate. I shoot mine with factory sights. Peace.

Really nice BFR in a great chambering! I've had absolutely no issues with my three BFRs (44, 454, 50AE)

They need to improve their QC checks during the manufacturing process... I have two BFR revolvers...first time I pulled the ejector tab ... sliced my finger ... wah... bleed like a hog...lol The other BFR... top of handle great (frame and handle) burrs... BOTH, I will fix/clean up. I was told that production revolvers are not commonly QC inspections

A few sharp edges with mine as well on the load gate. Caused a little bit of blood leakage for me as well.

@@huntinonabudgettexas4695 I've worked in manufacturing for years..."any" issues were measured...quantified...and often NCR (None Conformance Reports) or ECR / ECN... Continuous improvement is a culture and passion

@@huntinonabudgettexas4695 Originally from Texas, I live in New York these days. No guns allowed. So, I watch gun & hunting videos. Can't even talk about guns here without people thinking you're a nut. They haven't outlawed cats yet, thankfully.

I'd like to have the 444 Marlin chambering with a 5.5" octagon barrel. I know it would give up some ballistic advantage to your longer one, but I like shorter barrels on pistols. BFRs are reasonably priced, built like tanks, precisely fitted and timed, and accurate. What's not to like?

That would be an awesome set up. It would be a beast on recoil. Thank you for your comment.
