    When playing against fires it was. ALWAYS important to counter the threats not the fires bc what happens is the threats are the issue where fires is just a do nothing enchantment that gives his mana acceleration dudes haste at worst

    The huge thing to is the mindset. I would've had that exact board state, 2 cards in hand, my opponent rips 5 good spells and I would've just tilted and done a 3/2 split without thinking and lost right there. The mind of champions is something else

  • @simionion9998

    @simionion9998

    9 ай бұрын

    @@kingnapikkingoficeland7856the strat is that if he toralf takes the five, and Frank has a blood oath, he loses because he has too many instants and takes 3 for each, but if he takes zero cards, he gets zero cards. And a 3-2 split would not be enough instants to make toralf lose to blood oath.

    Probably helps a lot that he played when these decks were in standard. Just look at the sideboarding. He talks through it but let's be real knew EXACTLY what cards to take out and which to put in for this exact match up.

It really is a pity that Wizards discontinued the World Championship Decks and that so many of them have been cannibalised over the years - they deserve to be preserved and valued for posterity.
