    Hey I just wanted to say thank you for this content. Sincerely. This is good MTG content. The interview format helps without being too overbearing like a certain show I loved years ago and don't anymore. I could name it, but I know it's unprofessional for your channel for me to talk smack about others, so I won't. This is good content. Please keep the format as it is, don't get too deep into the interview stuff. The mixture of gameplay to interview is a perfect blend as is.

    I've been finding myself more and more wanting to get into pioneer. it seems like genuinely such a fun format, I wish that magic gave more support to their 1v1 60 card formats. like I enjoy Commander but I think this is how magic was always intended to be played and it's the way I like to play the most. with how gross modern is right now especially with all of the horizons stuff and the new Lord of the rings stuff on the way I find myself wanting to get into pioneer more everyday. I'll have to look around for local game stores in my area that actually have tournaments. always love your pioneer gameplays and I'm happy that card market finally gave you guys the dice budget that you were so desperately needing

    I definitely think Yamin should have deployed the Shifting Ceratops earlier to chump the shark token, protecting the Chandra at 7 to ult next turn. With only one card in the control player's hand, and Ceratops being Uncounterable, you have practically nothing to worry about outside of exactly Heartless Act since the Field of Ruin was tapped down.

    Thanks for the video :) I have a question. Is there a reason at 10:53 to play the Fatal Push rather than the adventure of Murderous Rider on the end of Jamin's turn ? It ends up not mattering, but the 3 mana spell seems more mana efficient to me in that situation. Is it a light misplay, or am I missing something, something that gives the priority to the Ooze for example?

  • @michaeldibner9342

  • @CardmarketMagic

    @CardmarketMagic

    Жыл бұрын

    So it might not be absolutely correct but I tanked on this real hard and cut it in the video. So here was my thinking: I had drown in the loch and if I kill the Chandra with the murderous rider, I was afraid of a stomp end of turn once i'm tapped out, so I made the play that let me keep up drown that turn and the next. Also, I imagined that if I killed his chandra, if he had nothing in hand, he would start eating his own graveyard with the Ooze to beat down with it and it would turn off my drown in the loch 😅

  • @michaeldibner9342

    @michaeldibner9342

    @@CardmarketMagic Interesting, I hadn't thought that deep. And if I'm correct, there's only a small percentage of your deck for which a 2 mana difference on your next turn would have mattered, so the downside is acceptable.

    If you are a new player, I'd recommend the gruul deck. If you want to win local tournaments, the best option is probably to buy the previous year's Lotus Field challenger deck and update it a little, but no one is going to want to play against you casually 😅

    Jamin says Reach is the most overlooked keyword. That's a nice video topic. Which is the most inplay overlooked keyword? By my experience it is not reach, it is menace.The amount of times players tried to do an illegal block in various games trying to block menace creatures with one blocker is ridiculous.

    how do you feel about Drawn From Dreams using cost reducers instead of delve shenanigans to power out Dig Through Time? ultimate they both would cost UU but DFD can be hard cast without wanting to shoot yourself in the face.

  • @CardmarketMagic

    @CardmarketMagic

    Жыл бұрын

    Drawn from dreams is also strong, but the fact that Dig Through Time can be played on your opponent's turn is the key to it being so much more powerful in this deck. You want to keep up counterspells and removal, and if they don't get you a reason to use them? BOOM! You dig through time :)
