Hey I just wanted to say thank you for this content. Sincerely. This is good MTG content. The interview format helps without being too overbearing like a certain show I loved years ago and don't anymore. I could name it, but I know it's unprofessional for your channel for me to talk smack about others, so I won't. This is good content. Please keep the format as it is, don't get too deep into the interview stuff. The mixture of gameplay to interview is a perfect blend as is.

Finished the video on my lunch break and had to come back with some more kudos on the production value. Showing the triggered effects on screen as well for things like Cindervines and those cards in graveyard for Torrential Gearhulk - incredibly useful information to have on screen and the best overlay I've seen for live play games. Keep up the great work!
I love this, how they explain thought process while keeping the tempo. Subbed

I've been finding myself more and more wanting to get into pioneer. it seems like genuinely such a fun format, I wish that magic gave more support to their 1v1 60 card formats. like I enjoy Commander but I think this is how magic was always intended to be played and it's the way I like to play the most. with how gross modern is right now especially with all of the horizons stuff and the new Lord of the rings stuff on the way I find myself wanting to get into pioneer more everyday. I'll have to look around for local game stores in my area that actually have tournaments. always love your pioneer gameplays and I'm happy that card market finally gave you guys the dice budget that you were so desperately needing

gruul precon replacing glorybringer and the spells with werewolf packleader and reckless stormseeker, and 4 embercleave is crazy fun
Gotta have lots of dice!!! LOL! Thanks for the Pioneer content. I really enjoy your videos! Keep them coming!

Carl "playing around stomp" immediately followed by "please don't draw stomp" is a classic lol
SO HAPPY THESE ARE BEING FEATURED!
from the side, that looked like a lot of dice! Then from the above view, I noticed there was a backup column!!!
That game 2 was really frustrating from the control side, so many almost-plays that don't quite work because you're at 1 😅

It was really cool to see that Game 2 turn around completely 💃🏻
This was a ton of fun to watch
those were some really close games. Nice!
Jamin sided the Ceratops in for game 2, talked it up, but I really think he underestimated how effective it is in this matchup, holding it for so many turns really felt like a mistake.
Really liking the content. I know you guys are all about that Modern format, but how about some games of Premodern? Very interesting format with a lot of diversity, and of course those cool old frame cards!
I'm a simple man. I see a new cardmarket video, I like and comment and happily enjoy the great content :)
A round of standard would be cool every once in 10 games or so. Just to see what the format is like every once in a while. Pioneer is cool too! I'm addicted to these gameplay videos by the way. I've run out of ones to watch and have tried to find the old ones XD

I definitely think Yamin should have deployed the Shifting Ceratops earlier to chump the shark token, protecting the Chandra at 7 to ult next turn. With only one card in the control player's hand, and Ceratops being Uncounterable, you have practically nothing to worry about outside of exactly Heartless Act since the Field of Ruin was tapped down.

Exactly what i was thinking
In rund two, it would have been an idea to cast the elf first instead of lovestruck beast and then in the next turn cast ceratops because of protection from blue :D

I know correcting play isn’t the most fun but JAMUN CHANDRA CAN MAKE MANA. It worked out pretty well with the language but I feel like upticking chandra for the mana to cast ceratops and beast and stuff was just easily the correct line

Thanks for the video :) I have a question. Is there a reason at 10:53 to play the Fatal Push rather than the adventure of Murderous Rider on the end of Jamin's turn ? It ends up not mattering, but the 3 mana spell seems more mana efficient to me in that situation. Is it a light misplay, or am I missing something, something that gives the priority to the Ooze for example?
@michaeldibner9342
Жыл бұрын
I mean casting the adventure on Chandra rather than casting the push on the ooze
@CardmarketMagic
Жыл бұрын
So it might not be absolutely correct but I tanked on this real hard and cut it in the video. So here was my thinking: I had drown in the loch and if I kill the Chandra with the murderous rider, I was afraid of a stomp end of turn once i'm tapped out, so I made the play that let me keep up drown that turn and the next. Also, I imagined that if I killed his chandra, if he had nothing in hand, he would start eating his own graveyard with the Ooze to beat down with it and it would turn off my drown in the loch 😅
@michaeldibner9342
Жыл бұрын
@@CardmarketMagic Interesting, I hadn't thought that deep. And if I'm correct, there's only a small percentage of your deck for which a 2 mana difference on your next turn would have mattered, so the downside is acceptable.
I just found out there's a format called Heritage. It's basically Legacy but only allows cards that were legal in Standard. So no Commander-only cards or Battlebond or any other weird stuff!
Seems like someone got some top decking advice from Toffel. Just turn creatures sideways and draw winning cards!
I'm usually an edh player but I really liked this vid.
Did... Jaymin give Shifting Ceratops *vigilance* at 29:20?? I had to reread the card a couple times, but I'm pretty sure that is NOT on the card.

still not enough dices :D i wanna see more !!!!! :P
So how does fatal push work? Do I not understand it correctly?
@CardmarketMagic
Жыл бұрын
You may target a creature. If it costs 0-1-2 to cast, it dies. If a permanent you control died, returned to your hand, or was exiled during the same turn, the creature dies even if it has 3 or 4 total mana cost. I hope this helps? Or does it make it worse?
43:10 if you want a really weird format to play, pre-modern is most def up there
