I purchased a mafex gambit.. reissue.. full price.. upon arrival I had a squeaky tigh, but the real kicker was the socket on the torso popped out. I had to get creative and inject glue gun and seal the socket in the hole with super glue. Ihad to repair this figure within 2 month of purchase. Remember this is a re-release. I will probably never buy a mafex again.

Mafex is one of the best at making no-nonsense, straightforward Batman figures. No weird one panel-specific versions. Plus the quality is much better, including better quality plastic. I don’t have to heat the figure up just to articulate a shoulder or leg. Quickly becoming my favourite figure company.

The Best Batman figure I've ever owned

Agreed that it's a very classic Batman, but I think the regular head more resembles Batman by Norm Breyfogle than Neal Adams. The long eared head is obviously Kelly Jones.

Loving this Batman - hoping we get a Knightfall/Balent Catwoman and Tim Drake Robin to go with him, Bane and Azrael

The horned cape is based on Norm Breyfogle’s artwork during the that era of Batman. So pairing it with the normal head it’s fine. Not an error in the packaging. Loved the figure, cool review as always Brad.

Correct. The long ears are based on the cover art for the Knightfall series by Kelley Jones. Classic stuff!

Blue & Grey Batman is the best look. I agree this figures captures the classic Neal Adams art. The long ears with horned cape was artist Norm Breyfogle look so we get two cool looks in one package. Nice!

The pointed shoulders cape would actually go with the regular head as was Norm Breyfogle's artwork in the Knightfall series. The horned cape goes with the long ears as was Kelley Jones' artwork in the Knighfall series. Also, regular head with regular cape works the best because that is his normal and classic look in the Knighfall series. I heard the butterfly joint cup in the shoulders was installed backwards... I haven't got mine yet, so I don't know for sure.

I'm so happy to have this figure. He poses very well and I'm a sucker for long ears Bats and the pointed cape was a nice touch to go along with it. Curently have him posed with Azrael and they look amazing

Mafex is really good to make classic version of characters. This Batman and Spider-Man are great.

This is a really good figure. I really would have rather gotten a Bruce Wayne head that that rebreather. I just don't know a reasonable scenario for it unless I'm doing an underwater display or gas attack? The ring around the emblem. I bet they looked at reference pics where the oval is outlined or similar costume designs are outlined. But this specific iteration is not outlined. I could see Mafex thought process. The tipped shoulders makes it look distinct from Hush Batman but the super long ears is not everyones cup of tea. The most obvious question is Hush or Knightfall? Both are equal in my opinion I wonder if Mafex is going to do say the Troika suit that's all black.

Great figure and great Batsuit. Is the head just a reuse of the Hush Batman head, cuz it looks very similar.

I’m more of black and gray Batman fan myself, but this figure is absolutely top notch. Theres something about the built that’s just absolutely perfect in terms of super hero proportions

How does it compare to the Mafex Hush Batman figures?

The new torso joint 'fits' better than the Hush Batman's - the top half doesn't appear too thick and gappy perhaps due to the longer lower half. ...IF ONLY Mafex would make their butterfly shoulders fit better! 😕

Time for a custom cape that will cover his whole front

LOL when I first seen the Batman with the yellow thing in his mouth I thought of a pacifier and then you said it was the air breather and I was like oh that makes sense

The human ears on the side of the heads protruding out so far is a bad look but overall this figure looks incredible, cant get over how awesome the long ear head is with the pointy cape bits

Did The Killing Joke version of Batman have longer ears and the capsule belt? Cause I can definitely get behind it being a Killing Joke Head.

I don’t know man, I am getting OG Toybiz vibes from this figure. It seems old fashioned in sculpt.

But is it really worth just over $100 just to stand on a shelf?

Love the colors, but those shoulders and the price are just too much for me.

I have very limited cash, so Essentials Knightfall Batman is good enough for me, 😆

Yeah it's a good figure, but Lego Batman still beats him. Because this figure only has an eight pack, and that one has a nine pack. 😂

For $100 figure, I think this Bats looks pathetic.
