Yeah it was, but I feel like a better ending was the ending for the Dark Knight TBH I don't think a third movie was necessary, I like the Dark Knight Rises, I just don't think it was necessary

This looks almost dead on to how he looked in the movie. The cowl with the small amount of damage is from the poster, and the half cowl is from the movie after Bane breaks Batman's back. He's also supposed to be a tad shorter than Batman.

Just got this guy in, he's one of my favorite figures, and I'm glad I have him. He's awesome IMO

@@midsectionmark8956 I went with the Figuarts Dark Knight Batman, it scales up perfectly. I have them standing in the pose from DKR where Bane is holding Batman's fist and it fits perfectly

I was gonna pick this guy up on sale used but then I saw your video and the size...it was enough to change my mind. Thank you for the video.

Damn this figure looks so great but Mafex really screwed up the scale. He doesn’t fit well with neither Figuarts nor Mafex Bale Bats. I know Tom Hardy is 5’9” in real life but they portrayed him much larger & imposing in the movie. Then again, Figuarts screwed up the scale with Justice League Batfleck. It’s a shame because this figure looks really nice but because of the scale, I won’t buy it.

He looks really good. Still too skeptical about MAFEX to buy another figure from them, but this does make it hard to stay away.

I think if I can find a custom masked bane head I'd totally dig this figure. Yes the scale kinda breaks bane but I don't have a lot of space to pose him anyway if he were big so I'm lovin the human scale.

Awesome how he fits with sh figuarts, thats great, cause i have the sh figurarts darkknight aswell , the hight and evreything is perfect actually cause he was at most the same size as batman in the movie and tom hardy is shorter than bale they obviously tried to make him biger in the movie so that he atleast matches batmans size , very cool review man and DUDE! Watch the dark knight rises its really good, wow the disciplin it must take not having seen it till now , im impressed , it has some flaws but is really reeeally good with some epic moments , bane is one of the best things about it and the dark knight rises is good enough to be viewed together with beginns and tdk , as one of the best trilogys ever maybe even the best , defenently ey worthy conclussion to the trilogy and when we see what dc is doing now with for example ssquad or justice leauge(ouhh what ey letdown that was) than you apriciate it all the more.

Just curious how you got this guy so fast from overseas?

He looks a lil small sure but he wasn’t of monsterous proportions like in the comics and he does look quality, too bad he’s not taller than all the other SHF and MaFex Batman related characters but I will say that film is worth watching for Tom Hardy’s performance alone, I love the comic version but really enjoyed his take on the character.

Are maffex figures mostly 6 or 7 inches?

I know Bane should probably be bigger given the lifts Hardy wore in some scenes, but Tom Hardy is about 5"9' and Christian Bale is about 6". The comparison between this guy and SHF bats looks tight!

Shame about this guy. Love bane in the Nolan universe. Thought it looked great, but scaling ruined it. That and the rising price tag with MAFEX Great review as always!

Damn I wish I'd have gotten these but now everyone wants $200-300 for these so I'm screwed.

Sculpt and paint is really good, I'm glad MAFEX is improving cause this year I'm gonna try a couple of their releases that have no SHF counterparts (Robocop). Having said that, even if you have never watched TDKR just plain observation will tell you that Bane's torso was clearly NOT meant to be displayed without the coat: yes, it does include the optional arms to do so...but it looks like it's missing parts and the anatomy becomes very weird. Size-wise it kinda ruins the illusion the movie desperately tried to go for (which is Bane being bigger than Baleman) so I dunno about that...

well, if +d_amazing into DC thing, maybe you would like i the movie too :)

Bane being smaller than Batman just doesn’t make sense. He’s not supposed to be smaller than Batman in the movie that’s why they gave Hardy lifts. There were times where you could see through the movie magic and notice how short bane is but that’s not what they were aiming for. Mafex scale failure confirmed

In the dark knight trilogy, Batman was about 6 ft. tall, while Bane was about 6 ft. 2 in.

They should've added shading to the arms. They look so bland without it. And to all those complaining about the scale, if you know Mafex then you know they'll probably make a Bane 2.0 in the near future so you can skip this version if ya want

Shf is 6 inch mafex is traditionally 7inch this Bane is the same height if not smaller than a shf Batman so if the mafex Batman comes out and is normal mafex heghit at 7inch he’s going to fight baby Bane

KnightfallBane01 Nope SHF Dark Knight Batman is taller. Which to me def seems wrong Bane is about the same as Ledger Joker. And the SS Leto Joker is about the same height as Ledger Joker. I own the Leto Joker figure and it is super short!!! Which means this Bane is super short too

KnightfallBane01 Yep I don’t think Mafex is in the 7” scale tho. Normally they’re in between 6- 6 3/4. With TDK Batman 3.0 coming out, unless they’ve made him shorter than previous the Dark Knight Batman he’s going to scale pretty poorly with this Bane. Ideal size for this figure would’ve been around the same size as the Mafex Deadshot( Mafex made all the Suicide Squad figures too big) but the size of that Deadshot figure would’ve worked for Bane. Ah, I can make it work once I get them in some fighting poses won’t even notice the height difference

That Bane is WAY too small, both in build and height. He does look movie accurate other than that lol. Thanks for the review, now I know to pass on this fig.

Build-wise he's actually mostly accurate (Hardy's Bane wasn't THAT big and he's about the same size as Batman in the movie). The problem lies in the fact that they hollowed out the section around his shoulders and carved out his back muscles, all for the sake of making room for the coat which ends up making his torso look smaller without the coat on. Otherwise, the chest, arms and height are all close to accurate size for Hardy Bane.

Dude why would you buy and review a figure from a film you never saw? sure you can notice paint apps and articulation but you'd be missing a big aspect of what makes that character, the little subtleties in body language that was sculpted, facial expression etc. do yourself and watch the damn film, it's lightyears better than anything warner bros has made in years. don't be a poser, man.

Ok, now MAFEX is really dropping the ball with the size here. Bane is supposed to be bigger than Batman in the movie, just like in the animated version. MAFEX seriously needs to do more homework about making more accurate scale.

No, to make their figures in scale with each other. Do you see how big MAFEX Ben Affleck Batman and Joker compared to MAFEX Bane? Bane should have been bigger than any of the MAFX Suicide Squad or BVS figures, and the MAFEX figures have some serious size consistency problem. This Bane is so shorty that I'm glad I didn't preorder it.

Nope. If you search, Tom Hardy is smaller than Christian Bale about 10 centimeters (about 4 inches). So, the size is perfect
