_ Raven _ well I’m saying in general the design of the bat suit was realistic in terms of being modern. Being equipped with all that gear, the armor. I think that’s what a real life Batman should look like.

PauhovXiong i get what you mean now. Yeah it most definitely is the most realistic looking suit. Of course there's more badass in the games and comics but, however this one still holds up on looking the most modern and coolest looking in my opinion.

When I was watching solo, during the train scene when the first range trooper got shot down, I was like "oh no, poor Gus"

yes, I'm no longer alone in thinking the Mafex line has become superior to S.H. Figuarts (not saying SHF can't produce anything good anymore, but if both Mafex and SHF make the same character, the Mafex version tends to be better, especially in terms of sculpted and painted detail)

well I think that pretty much all the characters that both companies did, have the better looking alternative with Mafex (so that pretty much includes all characters across all franchises) Wonder Woman (Mafex) definitely has the most accurate body sculpt and paint apps in my opinion, and none of the 6" figures truly capture Gal Gadot's likeness (out of the box) I have indeed seen some people do an amazing job on customizing the SHF figure to look more like Gal Gadot, but that still doesn't make the body sculpt more accurate (and usually the sculpt is harder to fix than the paint job)

SkyGuy501 And that is probably why the Mafex stuff is becoming more expensive than Figuarts (judging by Big Bad Toy Store listings). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't re-call seeing anything from that Mafex being listed in the $95 - $100 range (pre-order) like what I'm seeing today.

you are correct about Padme, but she hasn't been done by Mafex yet. And yes, I don't really see Mafex doing a Padme figure, and if they do, I don't think the Mafex version would be better, but it is possible. Harley Quinn indeed is one of the exceptions to the rule, but even with Harley, Mafex has some detail that doesn't exist on the SHF version that is accurate to the on-screen appearance of Harley. These Mafex figures that easily break are mostly a thing from the past, and SHF also tends to have their figure with defects every once in a while. But for a more obvious and recent comparison. the Spider-Man Homecoming figure by Mafex almost doesn't compare to the SHF version. SHF just really dropped the ball on this one (and continues to drop it with the Iron Spider figure, since they have the same basis). SHF tends to make their figures stylized, while Mafex tries to capture the most accurate look they can achieve and that is also the look I'm looking for in a figure.

Just got mine a couple days ago and I agree it's a hell of a figure and I do enjoy it more than the figuarts...the ankles and head aren't an issue for me, keep up the great work man 🤘🏼

My bad luck sended at QC issues because I actually got in an scored a dio set of the Turtles. It was a tence 30 seconds but I came out happy as hell!

After 10 years, finally the TDK Bats we deserved & needed! Mine have zero QC issues with & puts the Figuarts version to shame. Mafex is on fire with these Nolan trilogy figures & I couldn’t be more happier!

I'm with you man. It's weird to think I wasn't interested in anything Nolan before these but they're so good that I NEED more. The power of good toys...

My last two MAFEX ( Darth Vader Rogue One n' Spider - Man Homecoming ) were brilliant . I am anxiously awaiting both John Wick n' Robocop but with the ever increasing price of MAFEX action figures I may have to reevaluate some other upcoming preorders .

Btw I have a tip for the figuarts cape. Put the cape under the shoulder pads and it looks much more natural.

Awsome Action Figure review i am Getting Package 2 This Month

I would absolutely love for action figures in this price range to come with alternate capes ... basically with n' without wires ... maybe different cape material as well .

Nice Review Robo, Im still waiting on mine, seeing your review I'll probably end up displaying my Figuarts Batman in the batpod (now I gotta get the batpod) and this one next to the rest of the figures from this line, Im still waiting to see how the SHF Selina Kyle ends up (maybe that one fits a little bit better heightweise with the rest of the mafex ones). Now all we need is Gordon and Alfred (Rachel, Thalia and Blake/Robin I could do without though I'd probably end up buying them if they make them :P)

I love this figure, I really do. That said I am leaving Mafex alone for awhile. My version 3.0 Batman came with a very loose left arm joint. It comes off quite easily. At this point I just krazy glued it and posed him on the shelf. Mafex really needs to work on their QC issues. 😤

I love how in the size comparison he goes from saying muh-fex to mae-fex to maw-fex 😂

Been waiting for this review. Nice look at the figure, though I wish the comparisons between the figuarts one and this one was more in depth. However I like the aesthetics of this figure compare to the figuarts one. Definetly be picking this one up soon in the future.

I think it looks more like a dude in a suit than the SHF. Both are fine figures but I gotta give the edge to the MAFEX.

Thank you for reviewing this figure. Needed to see if it was worth it, trying to get a Batman from every film.

Devon Palmer SHF I think is the way to go. As you can see the figure has a lot of flaws. This company appears to be good but a couple years down the line it starts breaking down. And in this video you can already see all the QC flaws right out of the box. The materials they use are not top-of-the-line the feel of the plastic is close to model kit plastic. Stay away.

Eddy Che I mean, the company and their technology keeps improving, so it makes sense that they'd want to redo an older figure(which was really bad, imo).

Nice intro Robo.

Personally, I opted for the Figuarts. I just feel like the head on the Mafex is a little large and sits a little low. But they’re very comparable

Honestly, I haven't had any huge QC issues with MAFEX in a while. Sure, loose joint here and there, but I get that with all the major companies and toy lines.

Nice character impressions . I thought it was really them.

Details on the costume for this mafex figure is good, but the sturdiness and headsculpts of the shf is still superior for me tbh

I want mafex Jango Fett. And a scout trooper. Man that would be something. And snow trooper too. To be perfectly honest, I am not surprised you like mafex more. Seems like figuarts is stuck at the same level all the time, and its not like they have reached perfection. Some of their figures leave quite a bit to be desired. Quality is usually solid, but I sometimes cannot help but wish for more. MAfex on the other hand can be horrible, but they can dish out some really super sculpts. For now my main gripe, at least with SW figures, would be that they attach shoulder pads to the arms. Thats a critical flaw to me and a definite dealbreaker. Hope they fix it. And I really want a scout trooper. We wont get another one from figuarts, and their version is just mediocre, with too big visor and rather weird overall "skeleton"

Be caredul with the hands that are tighter and harder to out on. I was switching hands on my Homecoming figure from Mafex and the wrist peg snapped off. Great review by the way!

Yeah, I haven't broken one yet, but I can see how it can happen. I'm actually waiting for it to happen. It will, eventually.

Mafex is seeming to get better with every figure they make, improvements all over the damn place! And sadly, SH is seeming to cut more corners and have kinda lack luster releases, ie Infinity War Cap. I got my Batman today and I’m throughly impressed with him, last week I finally got the Rogue One Vader from your recommending him, definitely my new main display Vader!

Nice! Yeah, that Vader isn't perfect but none of them are, really. I just love that one the most though. The helmet is awesome.

Cheers Robo, I've been waiting for this one to drop to see which one I should pick up and it looks like this is probably the one. Is it me or do the shoulder pads look a bit big, they're not deal breakers, but look a bit chunky? Yeah, I hadn;t noticed that Mafex haven't pushed any Solo figs, though when did the R1 figs come out, it must be 6 months+ after the movie, if so, maybe they're still in the design stage?

Hopefully. I'd REALLY like to see what Medicom could do with a Chewbacca. And the shoulder pads are just barely bigger than the SHF, just angled forward a bit more.

Does the nail polish trick work to thicken up the peg on the neck also? Cause mine is a bit wiggly? Radial review my dude! Im not sure if i should wait for the figuarts selena kyle or get the 2.0? Mafex has been badass really steppin up their game ughhhh the choices lol

That should work there, if it's the ball joint that's loose. And honestly, I'm completely happy with the MAFEX 2.0 Selina, have no regrets skipping the SHF.

I can't remember the last figuarts I bought. Mafex FTW.

I got this one in China couple of days earlier than you. I have to say the form and shape of this batman ver. 3.0 is the best one in 6 inch figures. But I still love the SHfiguarts batman because it's articulation is more smooth and comfortable.

How does this figure hold? Like after a couple of weeks, does it get loose or anything? I'm really torn between getting the Mafex or the Sh Figuarts Dark Knight, can someone help please and give reason as to why you picked one over the other? P.S. mostly going to be using the figure for my stop motion channel, so staying stiff and not extremely loose is very important to me!

I bought the batman begins Mafex Batman based solely on your review and I love it and now thanks to you my kid won't be able to go to college. Just kidding good review!

I think they nailed the cape. The Batman begins figure is my favorite. I hope they do a Batman 90's and Batman returns figure. Good videos! More power!

Damn, I just bought the SH Figuarts Dark Knight Rises Batman. 😅

Well, at least I now know that Mafex won't ever change. I bought Ver 1.0 and 2.0 and the damn joints popped out with every slight touch you could muster. I had hoped they would've changed that crap.

I will buy this Batman but I do have the 1/4 scale hot toys dark night Batman so I don't know if I want to start collecting this small figures

I'd buy the hell out of an Alfred, although as far as the display goes, I guess he'd have to go with Krennic, Thrawn, and Tarkin. And I'm still crossing my fingers for Mafex to do Palpatine and TFA Luke.

This suit is the exact same in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. After Bruce escapes The Pit, he goes back to Gotham to his temporary Batcave and gets this suit.

I wish that eventually MAFEX will tackle the Tim Burton Batman cast from both the 89 and Batman Returns movie especially if they're for Both Batman's 80th anniversary and the 89 movie's 30th anniversary. That would be quite arrest for people who grew up with both films.

Honestly, both the MAFEX 3.0 and SHF are exactly the same size. MAFEX might look slightly better with the line though.

No, the SHF head has the dumbbell joint permanently sunk into the skull, the MAFEX dumbbell is attached in the neck.

Just got my Bandai Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper model kit delivered so hoping to see a build review pretty soon even though there's a good chance I would have built mine by then, but I do love your videos. Spoiler alert, I don't think the face is as good as the Han Stormtrooper, just my opinion though. Also there is another surprise in the kit, but I won't spoil that for you.

Bob is actually a Marvel character and he got a job with Hydra, he's only there for the healthcare.

I feel uneasy if I don’t complete my collection .Now i know how Star Wars collectors feel about buying same figure over and over again for infinite time. Anyway, i think you should buy 2 batman figures. One for basic pose, the other one for mafex batpod. Mafex Batpod is awesome.

These figures are really nice for the size and great because they complete out the line with all these accessories, but I feel they’re ridiculously overpriced. I think hot toys actually give the accessories in one figure and are actually more bang for your buck due to size and detail
