My favorite M Live performance EVER! ❤

She never wants to do the same thing twice so she reinvents her music often to make it more exciting for herself as well. This tour was in 2006 so Madonna was in a completely different space to 1992. She made it fitting to her image in 2006 and to the music she did at the time, also performance wise. I love this version and Madonna looked incredible. Can we just point out that in this 2006 tour she was 48 years old?

This entire final act of the Confessions Tour starting with "MUSIC" was my favorite part of the concert.... She really leaned into the 1970s disco vibe. Love your reactions always.

When she is creating songs before the final cut,this is a perfect demo that she brought back,from making of her Erotica album. Perfect performance!!

Yay! So glad you enjoyed this version! Everyone is saying this is from the “original” demo called you thrill me, but this demo is already a newer version of the original song, called Love Hurts. Back in 1991 she was working on this with Junior Vasquez, so erotica would have been a dance track. It wasn’t until she switched producers to Shep Pettibone that erotica became that dark and gritty song. But since she was doing so many of her songs in a way to fit her confessions era in this tour, she went back to the original version of Erotica

It was not actually Love Hurts. I have the demo Love Hurts and it’s a song from Eroticas sessions but it’s just a different song. I have this incredible 5 disc box set of every Madonna demo and unreleased song by M With information on each song. I’ve never heard about any writing sessions with Junior then. I’d love to know more though if that’s the case.

@@robbiereacts22 Prior to Shep coming on board to produce Erotica, she worked on a few song with Junior, one of them being Love Hurts. While working on You Thrill me with Shep, he said in his diary of the recording sessions, one day Madonna came into the studio and during a run through of You Thrill Me she added the Dita spoken word lyrics...those lyrics were taken from Love Hurts. From there, You Thrill Me morphed into Erotica which has lyrics from both tracks.

Confessions tour is by far, my fav tour! Love this! You Thrill Me was the demo for Erotica, or one of them. My jaw was on the ground, so amazing how she reinvented this! She is the Queen for a reason. Interesting doing all these reviews prior to attending the Celebration tour, and having all these images so fresh in your minds. The entire show is comprised of throwback moments to her previous work. You will recognize quite a lot. I think you are going to love it. Madonna begins NA leg of her tour this week! 💕 I can’t wait for you to review the entire Confessions tour. Like I said, it is my fav. By far the best opening of any of her tours. I also like to point out that whenever you see a disco ball appear at one of Madonna‘s shows, something very memorable is about to happen. 😉 You will see evidence of that when you review the Girlie Show! This is just a small taste of what’s to come in the Confessions era. You’re in for a treat with this tour. Epic.

It was WOW when she performed this. I saw this show at Cardiff UK my first Madonna concert.

The excitement was real when she did this version on the Confessions Tour. This was a time when social media wasn’t posting the setlist or clips. You had no idea unless you bought the tour book at the concert. Amazing arrangement and performance. You Thrill Me was the demo to what became Erotica. It was nice that it evolved into this rare gem 💎

Madonna has said many times she gets bored doing the same thing over and over. This is a demo from the EROTICA album, and quickly became a fan favorite. This is ART, pure and simple.

I love that the two of you are so open about all the topics Madonna talks about through her music. She's always changing her songs, she's always opening doors... Thank you

Fun fact: the original Demo for Erotica was called You Thrill Me, and this is a reimagining of that original Demo. I love Erotica but this version is the best, imo

I attended this tour live at Madison Square Garden and I can say the love from the New York crowd was overwhelming. And I felt like she reciprocated. I love this segment, the way she alters and enhances her hits is just amazing. Of course as always she looked incredible.

I love the You Thrill me demo. She had quite a few Erotica demos. It’s wild. This is a fantastic performance. Amazing live!!! The choreography is incredible!

Yeah, ❤ you picked a great live version of the Erotica mv. Her perspective and artistic vision evolved, matured after motherhood in 1996 and her watershed Ray Of Light era in 1998. Her concert tours thereafter became more spectacular, more thematically cohesive and the blending of artistic elements were at another level. She was age 48 during this 2006 Confessions tour and I think her physical appeal and beauty was also at another level during this era. She is indeed the Queen of Re-Invention. Your reaction as usual is so refreshing and enjoyable. ❤your Madonna journey.

Yeah the demo version had totally different vibe. It's really interesting to hear how the song evolved gradually to a whole different song, that is what you hear on the final album version.

The 'Confessions On a Dance Floor Tour' (and album) is a tribute to Disco, but reimagined anew for the 2000s a la Madonna. This is, perhaps, her most stellar fan favorite of albums and tours. But I have to say, all of her concert tours are all stellar in their own way and pose a challenge for many when it comes to selecting "a favorite." Enjoy! But before the 'Confessions' tour, there is the 'Drowned World Tour followed by the 'Re-Invenvtion World Tour.' : }

When this concert took place it was a nice surprise for the fans this version of Erotica because if the music had been changed to a disco theme like his album Confession, the lyrics I use for this performance are from the original demo of Erotica before it was released, it is found under the name of Youthrill me. The dress is inspired by that of Abba

" You thrill me " is one of the most know Erotica Demo. The other is "Love hurts" Confession on a dance floor Tour: a MASTERPIECE

It's true Dita has disappeared, it seems that Madonna wants to tell us that she has freed herself from her alter ego which is now one thing. She has made peace. But I can definitely say that Dita has been in us for a long time... Erotica was so important to those of my generation because it described so well what our lives would be like as young gay men living in the big city. Emily, Brenda I hope this amazing journey continues with "Deeper and Depper" the official video.

I love this version or mix of the song (don't know really if it's a mix of another song related called "You thrill me", that's why it's so different to the Erotica original song). Very sensual choreography. The outfit was inspired in one that Abba singers wore back in the day, cause this segment of the show was inspired in the 70's disco era. I remember when I went to the Confessions Tour and I saw that ‘Erotica’ was on the setlist… I was ecstatic!! It started, I started singing along and then was like HUH 😮 That was the first time I’d heard that version and I loved it!! ❤ My fave version has to be The Girlie Show though 🤩 There’s yet another version with different lyrics that Madonna recorded for her Sex book that came free with the book in a foil wrapper to look like a condom😅 It’s meant to be played whilst reading the book. Can’t believe it’s been a week since I saw the closing show in London before she made her way to NY. Really excited for you both to go and at least I still have your reaction videos to look forward to ❤❤❤

The Sex book had a little CD of another version in it, called Erotic. At the time it was only available to buyers of the book, but not sure if it's been released later.

The You Thrill Me section also appears in her new tour

Her outfit is her version of the outfits the ABBA girls wore during their tour. As well as using the ABBA "Gimme! Gimme" Gimme" (A Man After Midnight)" sample in "Hung Up" she also wears a camp light-up clock emblazoned with "Dancing Queen" during "Lucky Star." I think for the quality of her voice, "The Confessions Tour" might be her finest tour. And the choice of music, costumes, dancing and entire mood of the show, really set the tour apart from anything else she's ever done live. I've been dropping not so subtle hints at any Warner Records posts for a 4K bluray release of the show as it's only out on DVD, so keep your fingers and toes crossed that they'll issue it sometime soon.

Like some mentioned, this version you heard is actually one of the multiple early demos for Erotica. That song went through many changes before she got to the version on the Erotica album. This version was called "You Thrill Me". I suspect for this particular tour she was looking to do something less sexually provocative. The Confessions Tour is really one of her greatest tours too. It's pretty much a pure dance tour. It's the last time we've got a great blend of live vocals with backing tracks. You've got a good number of eras to get through before you get to this tour. And just think she nearly 50 when she did this tour.

Great reaction please keep reacting to Madonna, also she always reinvent her older songs during her tours so she won’t get bored of them neither the fans will, but in this song she used the demo version of erotica (lyrically term) and mixed it with the final version along with the Confessions theme (Disco/70s dance pop), this is how this masterpiece was created

While I’m glad you enjoyed this version, it’s disappointing that you reacted to it during the Erotica era and out of context. I think it does a huge disservice both to the original era as well as to the Confessions era to react to live performances so much out of context this way.

Well, you could react to the song "Erotic" which is a different version of the original and which was included within the Sex Book. I love your reactions. Pd: There's an uncensored version of the original video as well, you could check it 😊
