I remember this commercial! I never shopped at the Gap . It was all that everybody talked about in regards to how great their jeans were. But every time I walked past the store all I saw was Denim and khaki. Blech. There was never any other color but Denim and khaki. Kind of boring. Plus I never wanted to dress like everyone else. No clones here. HOWEVER.. The Gap put out a line of unisex fragrances and one was called "Grass" and I loved that stuff so much. I was stocking up on cologne, body wash. I just loved that smell. My olfactory glands can sniff out a Cobb salad 100 yrds away. I never wear "Cheap" cologne. But this stuff was awesome..... Then they stopped making it (as usual with anything you like) I was Sad for a while... But then I did a little digging around and found other companies that made "Grass" scented fragrances. So I'm happy again. They are $65/$75 a bottle... But that's normal for me. I don't splurge on much. But I always wanna smell good. So I thank those companies, and John Varvstos, Dolce & Banana, Thierry Muigler, Prescriptives, etc... Well I went off the rails. 😂😂😂

By the way, I never had shopped in a GAP store until this gap commercial dropped. It wasn't necessarily I was swayed by either artist to go for the clothes, but when this commercial first came out, they were giving out free CD's of the full single mash up of Hollywood Into The Groove with any pair jeans over $25. I remember going there and finding an average pair of jeans (which I still own) with only the CD in mind. I remember going to the register asking about the CD because I was not going to buy those jeans without getting that CD. LOL! It's a great collectors item to own. So glad I was able to get a copy. You sould listen to the full version. Look forward to what's next. I wasn't expecting this review, so it was a nice surprise!!! Thank you both! You two are the best.

The next single nothing fails is from film Sept Away which Madonna starred in and then husband Guy Ritchie directed. Unfortunately the film was panned by critics. It wasn’t released in U.K so it will be a treat to see music video for first with you both. Here in U.K it was straight to Love Profusion and it was last single off American Life.

I can't remember off hand, did you ladies watch the 1999 Max Factor adverts? They were really huge over here. They had giant Madonna cardboard stands in all the chemist shops, even my local little one had postcards which they let me have even though I wasn't about to buy makeup hehehehehe

Loved this era so much. This was right before the Re-Invention Tour and some elements of this mix were used. Then the EP Remixed and Revisited was released. She looks flawless. From 0:40 to 0:46 looks almost like the Don’t Tell Me video. Nice reaction as usual!

That was the first time we heard those lyrics to Into The Groove. As part of the deal, you’d get a free cd at GAP upon buying the new cords, which contained the jingle from the commercial and a remix of Hollywood. This version of the song uses the demo of Into The Groove that can be heard in the end credits of the movie Desperately Seeking Susan 😊 by the way, I lived in Paris when this came out and the cd was shortly unavailable because it was a limited edition. I managed to find a copy on eBay to which I paid 15 dollars. After the seller sent me the cd, they got a message from eBay saying they couldn’t have sold that cd, so they just charged me the shipping fee and returned the amount paid for the cd itself 😅

Uhhhh, that reminds me, I was passing a charity shop in the Notting Hill Gate area of London in around 2004ish, and I always stop in there as they have really great Madonna records and things I like. They had at least 20 of the Gap promo CDs and they were really cheap. I only bought 1 I think it was around a tenner if my memory serves me right. It wasn't until I checked on eBay a while later that I saw them going for £50 and upwards...
