Madness always brighten up your day,a godsend in the day!

Arguably their best video. It's got everything. Th clip of the van was from a French TV commercial, they didn't organise it themselves.

Love the guys looking up while shading their eyes - refers back to British airline adverts (BOAC?) from the 1950s/60s when air travel was becoming more available but was still really exciting!

Its raining again by madness is a good song for bad weather, I'm glad you left the start in.

The Sun and the Rain :) Awesome song.

A very minor detail missing clipped off from the end of the original video is the caption 'Madness support Greenpeace' hence the songs meaning and title 'Wings of a Dove'. If memory serves me I think was a benefit and proceeds went to the organisation.

My growing up would have never been the same without the nutty boys. One of there best 👌 ☺️

Madness were always very entertaining with very catchy and well produces songs.

the part in the van reminded me of the video for the Cures Close to You which was very claustrophobic but a good song you may like to check out

Which almost certainly makes it their most expensive video, as they look like they were all done for about 400 bucks! ;) Personally, I'm waiting for, Driving In My Car, as afaik, it's the only time Terry Hall ever smiled on camera!

@@Sandy-dd4le The director of their filmclips was somehow roped into doing The Cure's Hanging Garden clip - which Robert Smith hated, because it wasn't really tonally in the right ballpark. lol.

Woo hoo snow angels!! I do like a bit of Madness, video is as crazy as ever, they do always bring a smile to your face. Great reaction, nice to see you are smiling and forgetting about the snow. Cool song😁 If you like steel drums you should check out CoCo by The Sweet from before their crazy Glam Rock days.

Yeah "Coco " I have that single from 1971 never gets the recognition it deserves. A band that was thwart with problems but my goodness knew how to Rock and Roll

This one reminds of "Uncle Sam " Things went a little bit dark between the two singles" wings " in 83 uncle Sam 85 they always knew how to liven things up

Strawberry switchblade :since yesterday. There's an interesting song to react too. The girls are from Scotland my home country . they were a mix of goth and early Madonna and Cyndi pauper. This song charted at number 5 in the UK and was popular in Europe and Japan. Girls everywhere copied the look

you should pay attention to your brother's musical taste. There's a lot more to Madness than initially meets the eye.

I don't drink anymore. Just tired. And actually eager to hear this song. I knew the chorus from a movie I saw. 10 Things I Hate About You. I forget the scene, sorry. But, I knew it was going to be high energy, and boy do I need that today.

Oh, Rory Gallagher! Yes, definitely! Routinely referred to now as, "the greatest guitarist you've never heard of", Rory was truly incredible.... And a friend of Alex Lifeson if that sways either of the Hanier Family! Any Rory really has to be live, it's where he did his thing best.

That is such a great song. We know it quite well, though.

I was a big Madness fan, but absolutely hated this track when I first heard it. Luckily I gave it another chance, then one more, and eventually came round to really liking it. On the 12" vinyl version, on the inner part of the vinyl, the words "Look up at the rooftops...at the arse of a crow" were faintly scratched into it. They tend to be only known for "House of Fun" in the USA, but had a string of hits in the UK, and were one of the biggest bands in the country at their peak. I see you've reacted to some of their earlier stuff though.

Was it my favourite Madness song? No. But I did not hate it. Madness is one of my favourite bands since we started this channel.
