My brothers favourite band. I remember my brother trying to tell my dad how great they were, and my dad dismissed them as a flash in the pan. " They'll never be remembered like Buddy Holly," he said. He got that on wrong. 😂

A great band with a great song which perfectly captured the burdening relationships with girl friends and how you never quite understood where you stood with them at times.

Madness & Bad Manners got played a lot back in the days of the Dinosaurs. They did mostly cheery songs which helped.

You should check out the version by Tracey Ullman released 5 years after this. Her version was called 'My Guy's Mad At Me'.

More than just passingly good pop song , great melody , clever lyrics , good visually and apparently they had the drummer from Madness which again , I did not know , so thanks for that . LOVE Madness.....the Nutty Boys....."The Prince" is next.

This song was actually written by one of the band who worked as a van driver or something and his co-worker used to constantly whine every day about his girlfriend. You guys should also check out the real story behind Embarrassment

One of The Nutty Boys finest moments IMHO Madness drummer, and professional baby face, Woody, was also the drummer in Voice Of The Beehive, worth a look, try, I Walk The Earth, Dont Call Me Baby, or There's A Barbarian In The Back Of My Car.

Can't remember if i requested madness doing in the middle of the night before, knowing me probably a few times lol, but pretty sure you will enjoy it!

Mike wrote this about his then girlfriend and their relationship… they married and are still together so they can’t have been that bad 😂

Try listening to their later albums. Some absolute gems on Wonderful, Oui Oui, Norton Folgate etc

Madness are pritty good ...synthia l see you realy loving music..l have a band that you would never find some Australians don't even no as they didn't want to tour so just stayed in Melbourne and Victoria .from Australia on utube ..80s band try this song 1st called( SPANIARD'S - peeper ( live in Shepparton 1986) then to see the bands live TV show video on utube ( THE SPANIARD'S - What can l do for you - live on countdown. ) then ( spaniards - l am an exile.. /the reason they are not well know is becouse lead singers mick pealing and billy miller both had number 1 song in the 70s in Australia and didn't want to tour in the 80s...Mick's hit was in the Band( THE STARS ) billys hit was with the (ferrets- don't fall in love ) SPANIARD'S are a professional band.from Australia..
