I suppose side-by-side they are more visible in rear view mirrors, as well as to anyone approaching from behind.

z4k I agree but you’re no considering the more important what ifs. The major one is, if one is in involved in an accident the other is highly likely to be involved too. Two riders down for one incident that might have only involved one... that doesn’t sound like safe positioning to me.

Why wouldn’t their (Police riders) proximity to each other fall under the rule for tailgating. Surely those chaps don’t get trained to do that. How is that safe, it seems like an illogical practice.

Reminded Me of an occasion where I was hurrying to a plane crash with 4 Police Motorcycles in front of My Car and 4 More behind.
