Ingredients 材料:~
1) 黑糖 Dark brown sugar 180gm
2) 沙糖 Sugar20gm
3) 淡奶 Evaporated milk 180gm
4) 蛋(A) Large Eggs 4
5) 盐 salt 1/4tspn
6) 班兰汁Pandan juice 2 tbs
7) Low Protein Flour 180gm
8) 即溶酵母 Instant yeast 1 tspn
9) 发粉 Baking powder 1tspn
10) 苏打粉 Baking soda 1 tspn
11) 玉米油 Corn oil 60gm
12) 瓜子仁 Watermelon seeds 1 tbs
* Fermentation 2 hours
8"(20cm) Basket
* High heat steam for 30 minutes

You can try, but the taste will be different.
Hi, can I use normal milk instead of Evaporated milk. Is there any different? Also can I use normal metal moulds instead of bamboo ? Please reply, thank you in advance.

Normal milk can but Evaporated taste better. Metal mould cannot, the bottom of Malay Cake won't cooked.

hi dear, i have tried it but y my cake lot air bubbles, it more like 焦糖峰糕? inside the cake lot air bubbles instead like spongy.

Yes, the texture of Malay steam cake is different to sponge cake.

老师您好,我今天跟着你的食谱做了个马拉糕,上面是蓬松的,可是下面一半是沉淀的好像马来人做的kuih sarang. 问题出在哪里呢?对了由于我用的是小号鸡蛋所以我打了5个,再来是最后放油时我是直接慢慢的加入面糊里而不是和泡打苏打粉一起拌筠后再加进去。

油应该先和小份量的面糊混合才加入大份的面糊里再混合,可能最后才把油加入无法混合均匀,油沉淀了,就会形成底部不松软。
