I also use M audio m track solo to connect mixer to interface via ts jack, since this interface can accept line output on their instrumen input.

This was very helpful. I bought an M Track months ago but literally just bought a microphone today(Shure SM58) I rarely use vocals for my beats just seeing if I’ll continue this.

i owned the M track Duo version with 2 combo xlr and 6.35mm input jack and 6.35mm headphone output jack for the monitor output,it also 6.35mm jack using this audio interface for a months,i encounter the same problem with the gain knob of 90-100%. so far,it is good for my setup in online class in music and fitness(sometimes i used mixer and connect to audio interface)

I am so thankful for this video. I have the Duo and it has the same gain knob issue with a dynamic sennheiser mic in that little 9.5 to 10 area. I was thinking I may have gotten a bad one so I'm very glad to see it's just a buggy nuance. Thanks! Given all this, would you say it's best to mainly stick with condenser mics or be relegated to using a preamp if going with a dynamic mic?

Thank you very much for your video! I´m thinking about buying this interace, but there are 2 questions...perhaps you can help me out with them? First: Is it possible to plug my mic (a SM58) to Line 2 with an XLR to jack cable, or can I only use XLR to XLR cable? And second: Will this audio interface work with audacity? I wish you a great day! Best greetings from Germany! :-)

Hey, I'm aware that this video is quite old now. But, do you face any issues with the device since the last drivers released were 2021? I want to get this for my bass guitar and for a possible XLR mic, so I would like to know, thank you for the review!

Weird, mine clips at 5-6 with guitar(passive pickups), and I use it at 7-8 with cond mics, and around 7 on output, I'm guessing it's a quality control issue. Mine seems extra sensitive.

So, I had some of my online guitar students buy this interface so they could use a mic to talk to me and have the guitar on the other channel, then go into Zoom. Problem is, can’t change the sample rate in the Solo control panel. Do you have any ideas?

Hi Jordan. This device has only one output control knob? Like the scarlett solo, I would have to unplug my audio monitor if I wanted to record something with the headphones only?

That's right. I would recommend using it with monitors/speakers like the one in the video with a front facing volume knob. Then you can just turn the monitors down. I would never use this interface with my Yamaha HS5 since the volume is on the back of those monitors.

Question: Do I really need the monitor speakers? And plug them into the back just to get sound?. I had plugged the headphones out with a 1/4" jack on a fender guitar cable and another 1/4" jack on the other end, plugged into the line input of my pc sound card. I have MSi RGB usb headphones but don't hear any sound from them in Cubase 9 & 11 LE. I only have a pair of mobile phone wired head set with 1/4" jack. Do I set the switch to USB to record from that and how do I use my MSi RGB Usb headphones or the mobile phone wired head set. What am I doing wrong?

everything because you have not set up the interface correctly and the headphones being wireless you have to make them your default output in windows but you cannot control them thru the interface because they are not connected to it

You can, but it won't give you phantom power for condenser microphones or inline preamps (like a cloudlifter), and you get ~20dB less gain.

over all on a budget its a cool thing, but for me as a rapper and singer I was looking for something that I could listen to instrumental and record on it, at the same time not seperately. but when you said that it has to be in one mode , either USB or Direct, i found it as a huge cons of this audio interface.

It's $50. You're not going to have a lot of "extras" at this price. I think of this device as a better version of a XLR to USB cable.
