Ойын-сауық

  • @MrDaDukee

    @MrDaDukee

    Because it is a wild animal and can be unpredictable. Even if lynx attacks aren't documented they still have the intentional to harm somebody.

    ***** Have you ever encountered one in the wild? I have and they run like a shot when they see people. They just don't threaten people. I have to laugh at this guy in the video. He says he's nervous around two lynx.....he's the one that set up the food situation with them. They have no interest in him.

  • @happychaos

    @happychaos

    9 жыл бұрын

    RuleofFive You're forgetting that they are wild though and still very unpredictable. Just because the ones you have encountered have ran away doesn't mean every Lynx in the world will. Especially since the environment, in which these Lynx have been brought up in, influence/impact their behaviours. Either way it's better to be safe than sorry when in Steve's situation.

  • @RuleofFive

    @RuleofFive

    9 жыл бұрын

    ボスちゃん "Either way it's better to be safe than sorry when in Steve's situation. " "Steve" put himself in that situation with a camera man filming the whole thing. People aren't a target for Lynx because we're too big. Yes they're hunters but even lions won't risk their lives to attack say a male elephant. Lynx are the same way. People are misinformed about the false dangers of a lot of animals and sometimes that ignorance gets these animals killed. Its not right.

  • @happychaos

    @happychaos

    9 жыл бұрын

    RuleofFive Yes, Steve put himself in that situation. But that still doesn't mean he shouldn't take the necessary precautions to keep himself safe. Besides Lynx and almost any wild animals are still very unpredictable; the majority of the Lynx species may not hunt larger animals. However, like I said, each animal is not going to act in the same way. Nature isn't 90% predictable, so anything can happen. I mean, you have generalised a whole species of lions. Saying that they won't attack a male elephant. However there have been recordings of lions attacking grown elephants.

    We had barn cats on the farm and any one of them could jump that high. I saw a barn cat climb a ladder 20 feet high, grab a pheasant chick in its mouth and leap back down touching just one rung of the ladder. I have seen barn cats walk into the swamp and swim across without hesitation. Also, I have see cats panting like a dog after running flat out for a long distance. House cats have lost most of their physical abilities due to lack of exercise and over weight.

    +Amalia Synolaki It's about the same cat, but the name Lynx is from latin and is slightly more general group of cats, bobcats spread on different continents (eg. Lynx canadensis or lynx lynx or lynx pardinus), like "panthera" - there is no such animal as "panthera" often wrong used for jaguars (Panthera onca) and leopards (Panthera pardus), especially as "black panthera" (the same latin names as mentioned). Panthera is latin name of Felidae family of cat species taxonomy.

    That leap wasn't all that extraordinary for a lynx. I bet it could jump another couple of feet higher. I had a cat would would easily jump up onto the top bunk of a bunk bed from a standstill, which was about 5' 6" (my eye level).

    marlon alston A lynx is about 4-5 times the size of a domestic cat, has much more powerful hind legs, and most certainly can jump way higher. An average lynx has a length of about a meter. When a lynx stretches its extremities that almost doubles its length (height). When that lynx got up on his hind legs and stretched his front paws all he had to jump was at best 2 feet (probably less). Which is nothing for a lynx. Watch the video - the animal is hardly jumping. He just got up on his hind legs, reached out, and then hopped a little. Smart guy my ass.

    420SanJuan firstly, doubtful, and secondly fleas can jump over 100 times their body length. That doesn't make the lynx any less impressive. 6 feet is about 183cm. This cat which would weigh more than your 14 inch (imperial measurements, really? Catch up with the rest of the world) dog has about another 20cm on that. Plus it is jumping out of snow. Please leave the internet alone.
