They were never a simple family. Mom plays innocent - she took her daughter straight to the sharks and enjoyed the fame and money. Go away lady you ain’t no sweet innocent southern bell. Moms know when their kids are exhausted and being duped by sharks

I've watched Britney grow up. She is a very good hearted woman. Even when she was doing the Mickey mouse club ( which was a pretty big deal for decades), Britney Spears still worked part time in her grandmother's business to help support everyone in her family. Once she broke through with the single, Baby one more time, she became the breadwinner for her whole family. Far too much responsibility and pressure. Very unfair. As her Mother states in this interview, her parents had no idea how to guide or protect her. I wish Britney and her children well. She has been working since she was 8 years old.

Seems like Lynne struggled to be a maternal figure to both Britney and Jamie Lynn, she even said that Jamie had to console her when she was told about Jamie lynn’s pregnancy. She also does a good job of playing the victim

Even the interviewer is shocked Lynn couldn’t foresee any problems with early stardom. Still …in this interview …all she wants is for Britney to be “on top” again. It’s just weird.

“Comin up roses” is an interesting phrase coming from Lynne. It’s from Gypsy, a true story of a controlling stage mother. Interestingly Natalie wood starred in the film adaptation, Natalie, another victim of controlling stage mother.

And she fell on the worst hands she could possibly fall on, her sociopathic dad. Such a hypocritical man being an alcoholic sending his daughter to AA and rehab. It's a classic textbook example of how a woman is made to be crazy to enable abuse and rob her blind

you would think she would make britney calm down and take things slow. Like she said she hit the top and people wouldn't leave her be so she broke down, you would think as a mother she would try to protect her from this happening again.

I’m sorry but what? There is a huge difference between being a stage mom and being a supportive parent. I grew up from ages 3-16 in the dance world and if you think competition dance is full of stage mom’s, imagine what the pre-professional to professional dance world is like. I know first hand what a “stage mom” or a mother living vicariously through you entails and what it looks like. I don’t know enough facts to support an opinion on Lynn when it comes to Britney however, just because she made the comment about there being an “opportunity for Jamie Lynn” or like the other commenter pointed out, about “Britney moving back to the top”doesn’t in any way, shape or form constitute as proof that she is a stage mom or that she’s being hypocritical by saying those things. As a mother myself, if I saw that my son truly enjoyed something and wanted to go as far as he could with it, I would do whatever I can [within reason] to make those dreams become that much more, a reality. I apologize if this offends you... I cannot for the life of me, understand how it has become this normal thing for people to turn very normal and harmless things into these horrible things than are so “obvious” to see. I pride myself on not only level of intellect but also the well beyond my 32 years worth of life experiences that I have and it is rare that I agree with the popular opinion of other’s on social media. For example, all of the people that say how “obvious” it is that Britney’s boyfriend Sam is her “handler” as well as him being “on payroll”. Not only is there plenty of information out there/at one point was out there, that negate those claims but I myself due to very unfortunate past circumstances, with regret in a lot of aspects, became a master of manipulation and sniffing out the bullshitters and I don’t see what everyone else see’s. Never mind the fact that once again, going back to my previous statement about “people taking normal, common and harmless things and making them some bad thing”, do not understand the logic behind how they got to that belief. There needs to be more use of cognitive thinking and less use of opinions and theories.

Britney has always stated that she forced her parents to take her to any auditions avaliable. You just need to make some research to verify. Anyways, I do thinks that maybe Lynne took some advantages or opportunities to Jamie Lynn's success in Nickelodeon. Buy we as human beings are responsibles for our own actions. Your parents can raise you very well but at the end its all about choices.

I agree 16 is young to have a child you dont realize what your parents sacrifice for you you are raising another human being. At 16 you don't have money of your own source of income where and how would you raise a child at 16 your parents shouldn't raise your child it's your responsibility. It's not your parents there is birth control you can take I hate seeing a girl young starting a family at 14 15 16 I feel like you haven't lived life explore hold that goal but get education and travel go for your dreams you are still living under you parents house you can't get a house or apartment buy a car you have no money so your parents are stuck having to raise the child be smart girl. It's somewhat easy for jamie lynn because she has money someone who doesn't think twice. I'm 37 no kids I've fallen but I could not have imagined raising a child alone by myself when I have fallen . Also I could not have traveled to certain cities or states live your life. Get your education.
