For those who don’t know, Britney and Kevin both were surprised at the outcome of the marriage. She built a home for the family they were building together. She had no intentions of leaving. Just a few months before the divorce was announced she said in an interview with Matt Lauer that she had no desire to break up with him. Britney was told she needed to divorce Kevin when he was trying to work in NY and at the same time he was being told she WANTED to divorce him. If she wanted to, she wouldn’t have taken the breakup so hard. Her superiors turned both of them against each other because she started to distance herself from music for awhile. On her old website she wrote letters to her fans all about that. They, being the money hungry psychopaths that surround her, didn’t like that. They knew Britney wanted to focus on her family and marriage and if she did that for too long, that means less profit for them. To understand Britney’s conservatorship you have to understand Hollywood. In order to take control of her money they had to take away everything and get her in a vulnerable position. Mk Ultra style abuse. Before their divorce Kevin became self conscious of Britney making all the money in the marriage and wanted to maintain his individuality and feel like he could contribute to more than just being a stay at home dad. Britney said this herself in the same interview with Lauer. People think he used her for money but that’s furthest from the truth. Sure, it was nice to travel whenever he wanted to and I’m sure he enjoyed it, but he wasn’t in it for the money. Britney naturally is a giver. That’s who she is. That’s why her family took advantage of her, that’s why mostly everyone has. But Kevin was the one guy that didn’t do that. Now he is taking advantage of her though. He’s living off her child support. So 2008+ is another story.

If she never met him, i don't think she would have been in such damage later. I think she trusts people too much, be it her partners or her family. I know she wanted to settle down with marriage and kids but i think she was too young and had the wrong guys. The Chaotic show was a unique concept for the time but she herself said that it's the worst thing in her career. It sort of made the paparazzis go crazier.

Meanwhile, Shar Jackson was left pregnant and alone with their baby :( so sad

Hard to watched this knowing what we already thought about dating, married, being a mother toward Kevin... watching her wedding with Kevin was watching britney making her own funeral.

Pain Is God But she had children with him. It's not nothing.

Even Ellen saw it coming and got pissed off and called them out for “laughing all time”. She wanted to point out that marriage isn’t a game. She wanted to point out that something wasn’t serious going on.

Poor Britney, she definitely was far more into him than he was into her. I'm sure she wonders if anyone is real.

He refused her at first, but when he made calculations of how much money could win with a divorce, he accepted. I see he's such a bad person... Britney deserved someone better!

She deserved better … this guy made a fool of himself . He’s acting like he’s more famous then her . But really she deserved so much better .

Yeah, she was that desperate. And he was expecting his secong child with his ex... Well it was said that she wasn't even aware that they weren't together anymore. He lied to her that he's going on a tour as a dancer, when in a reality he was messing around with Britney. That whole situation was one big mess...

Look at his body language, loooooving all that. And look at hers, never comfortable, always chewing gum (self soothing), throat clearing and sighing. After having read her memoir, I simply h a t ė this guy. Always have, it just reminded me how much.

In my opinion, she was just looking for love in all the wrong places (I can definitely relate to that). I think she should've waited a while longer, couple of years, to figure some stuff out before rushing into this marriage with Kevin and having kids so soon and everything. It is what it is now and I wish her all the best in life, regardless of her previous decisions!

He’s an asshole. He drove her crazy and it about ruined her completely. But luckily she overcame it and got herself together and moved on. Who wouldn’t be head over heels to be with Britney Spears! He doesn’t seem head over heels. He’s just enjoying the spotlight and fame that comes with Britney! Make no mistake about it. Britney is and always will be the pop princess/queen! She is one very beautiful girl. And still is today.

@ice throne Okay first of all,Britney was so lonely that time.She has no one to turn to.So what do you expect?They clearly said that they met a night club and Kevin was being so called "perfect" to her.Huhhh such a gold digger.Kevin literally took advantages from Britney.She thought that he was perfect for her because he was "there" to "listen and support" her.Kevin is actually the one who actually need to be responsible for everything he does to Britney and his ex girlfriend.

Kevin is to blame too, he was older and supposedly more mature, why the heck did he decide to start a relationship with someone else younger when he was on his way to become a father from another woman. Britney is also to blame, but definitely less than Kevin. She was young and naive, she thought getting married and having children would make her happy. What people should wonder is why Kevin decided to get married with Britney so easily and yet didn't think about getting married with the one he left pregnant. Oh yeah, cause one had money and fame, the other didn't.
