I remember when I was a young fan I idolized Britney but I never liked her interviews because I believed there was no way someone so incredibly gorgeous and talented was actually humble and sweet. Now, as an adult, I realize she was always being genuine.

I’ve been a fan of her since 1998 when her single came out and then I got her album for Christmas of 99. I was so excited I was obsessed with her. I was a super fan went to several concerts, met her backstage went to her restaurant Nyla in New York in 2001. My locker was covered in Britney Spears pictures. My bedroom, head to toe had posters and pictures of Britney Spears all over it I sang my little heart out. I learned all of her dance moves. I bought the book her and her mom wrote together. it was a fiction book. I’ve been through a lot of similar things that Britney went through and I always related heavily to her. I married a man named Kevin, my beloved husband we’ve been together 18 years married for 15 I met him in 2005 which is right around the time Britney was pregnant with her first child, I got pregnant with my first child while she was pregnant with her second my brothers name is Sean my nephews name is Jaden. I had major connections to her in my mind. It breaks my heart absolutely crushes my soul what her family did to her, especially because my own family did some messed up things to me when it came to institutions as well when I was a teenager, so I really related to her still do

This is random, but I really like the way Conan interacted with her during this whole interview. I feel this very clear and attentive energy coming from Conan - It’s just that he’s not afraid of sort of being turned very directly toward her and engaging with her even though she’s been all lacquered up for the drooling masses. I feel like he senses her self-consciousness and understands it.

@Sam Watch any talk show, you'll see talk show hosts only pick up the dialogue when they notice their guest is someone with no personality, no sense of humor, no spontaneity. If you know Conan at all, he can't stand talking to people like this, but he has to multiple times because the network works with Britney's people to give her publicity. He has to wring good TV out of it somehow but she was giving him nothing.

Watch some Daniel Radcliffe interviews from when he was a teenager and you'll note age has nothing to do with it. Britney is a showbiz manufactured puppet who never got to develop a personality, basically the Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian of her time.

I forgot how gentle and humble she was (maybe still is?). :( Never seen someone so stunning, and yet so kind. Not up herself or anything. She'll always be the real queen of pop.

She's still humble but she is way more aware now in terms of how badly others have been treating her in the past so of course she will be a lot different considering the trauma that she's had to go through FOR YEARS now. She's humble but at the same time she won't let others walk all over her and I love how brave and honest she is nowadays and she just calls out whoever she needs to. Because "being nice" doesn't always work especially with certain people, you have to hold your ground and RIOT. And be twice as mean as them. Can't let them take away your power.

it's amazing she's still alive, I'm not even joking, certain actors and singers that came out alright are such a rarity, amazing that she even made it to 30, her level of fame and at such a young age is hardly ever experienced and hardly ever something the average person could ever handle no matter what they say or what advice they think they have for her, I don't think that level of fame is even possible anymore, not with the way radio and tv and internet work now

Actually Conan here is younger than Britney right now. Britney is 39. Conan just turned 37 three weeks before this show.

I was like 5 or 6 at this time and even being that young, I knew how HUGE she, the Backstreet Boys, and NSYNC were. They were everywhere. I still vividly remember the music videos and skating around the skating rink while their music played in the background. Best years of my life.

Huge reason I love Conan. He was and still is such a lovely guy who knows how to treat people and not make them feel uncomfortable/awkward. I’ve met him a few times over the years and he is seriously the sweetest. He will sit there and genuinely listen to you and almost seem just as excited to meet you 😂 I will always have a soft spot for him.

I totally remember the poor treatment of her back then. Same goes for Monica Lewinsky. It wasn’t considered cruel. It was normal to put these people down. It makes me think a lot about how we treat people now. We need to think before we publicly or even privately shame people.

@@Michael-wx7dr Her father stepped down and so did the lawyer....we don't know if she is still mentally unstable or not and if she still needs conservatorship which has been making her life look better than 2008 or whether she is being manipulated and taken advantage of....by the definition it's a conspiracy theory

@@shersockholmes6261 No, her father stepped down as the conservator of her person due to the fact that he assaulted her son and has a restraining order against him which meant that her custody time was affected. Her lawyer did not resign. Her father is still the conservator of her estate and is refusing to resign despite Britney telling the courts that she is scared of her father. Britney herself has said in court documents that Free Britney is not a conspiracy theory.

After I learned about her regret with her abortion and how JT used her, I see her in a different light now. God bless her❤

Must be terrible for her to have been ripped apart because of a break up! People break up all the time! Some individuals you wonder why anyone would want to stay with them!

Well, well, well. How did I get here? I am a Gen-X so Britney wasn't my bag. But I found myself here during COVID and my god, at this point, she's so sweet, soft-spoken and not jaded at all. What a sweet, beautiful girl that the industry chewed up.

I miss this era Britney. I wish time can turn back and give her a whole nother chance to know what is going to happen and she'd be able to stop it so that she could live her best life for her whole life🥰
