I've done the exact same thing with a charging steer, only using my fist instead of a gun. That thing staggered away three steps, fell over sideways and died on the spot. I'm not even kidding. It was a sick animal and I'm 100%certain it was the exertion putting too much stress on the heart that did it and it had exactly zero to do with my weak ass punch, but my point is that dodging a charging bovine that you can see and are facing, and hitting it back, is really not difficult at all.

Lynn Thompson has done so much for the knife community, and I can never take that away from him. But I wish he could loose the weight to insure he'll be around another 15 or 20 years. Because when he's gone, I dont have a lot of faith that his company will survive without his leadership. The way the world is going, we need visionaries like Lynn to show a new breed of conservative American entrepreneurs how to do things that people find offensive, and make it incredibly successful.

I couldn't list all my CS knives here, but I really miss the small folder you made in the 90s that opened like "flicking my bic". It was a great EDC and I used it all the time at work. Please bring it back as I lost mine. My favorite machete is the original Kukri machete that had the Kraton handle. Much less shock upon chopping versus the newer ones. All great knives and we love to see the master use them.

in a quartering angle like that, the vital organs, specifically lungs and liver, are behind the shoulder. Considering the solid inch of penetration he got on the buffalo's horns, I don't have any trouble believing that his spear would go through the flesh of the shoulder and into an organ. Even then, death takes a while to come. You're right though - had he hit a bone like the shoulderblade or a rib, it would only wound the buffalo. If you're hunting any big game at close range like that, it's a good idea to have a powerful gun handy, and the ability to use it. Lynn had both, and that's why he's alive to tell the story

Although he was exagerating a bit, those are actual "Filipino Techniques", but in a simular way to how a basic punch is a "Kung Fu" technique. Natural reflex in that type of situation will almost always make you stumble and fall, especially being as large as him. To be able to back up in a split second like that without notice, and to keep a stable balance while doing so, requires specific footwork and training. Easy to talk shit on the internet, but willing to bet that giant can move quite a bit faster than you.

@@Oleg-oe1rc i was referring to how he made it sound like he planned the whole thing. That was just "oh shit" footwork. Oleg, you have no idea who I am or what I'm capable of so assuming shit makes you sound stupid. I promise you he can't move quicker than me. But that doesn't matter cause my dick is longer, hahahaha. Jesus Christ, quit being a child. Fact is, his first mistake was to hunt an Australian buffalo with a spear, even if it was pretty small for a buffalo. He isn't a bushman, as is shown by how many shots it took him to take the buffalo down with his pistol AFTER he missed with the spear. Lmao.
