I ordered a Code 4 after watching your video on it way back when. Two minutes after getting the knife, I attempted your one-handed lockback method of closing the knife and cut the SHIT outta my first two fingers, because I had them too far up on the handle. It was an epic, bloody fail that required 8 stitches at the ER. So now, whenever I look down at the scars on my fingers I think about Advanced Knife Bro! Thanks for that!

This video is proof that AKB is a poet and a scholar. A man who keeps his promises. And yes the only knife that matters is the ESPADA XL! Thanks AKB, you are an inspiration to all trailer park residents everywhere. It makes me proud. I am going to go chop up some meat boots 👢 in honor of this vid. Edit: any tips on repairing a car hood?
Thanks a lot for taking the time to show and comment on these knives. It’d be great if someday you could do something similar with other brands..although I can see it would take time to produce them. I gotta say, when I have a job to do I often grab my Tuff Lite. I love that little sucker. Hoping to get a Broken Skull in the future. 👊💪
Oddly the best CS knife I ever owned was the Rajah 2. Even if the knives were not the best - I found their customer support to be next level good. Though Cold Steel is no longer Cold Steel, I won't ever forget how they treated me when something went wrong.
I have no idea how I didn’t find your channel sooner but my god, you’re like the Stan marsh of the knife world. I love this.
AKB you are the best! I really appreciate your CS reviews. You made my day!

Dude, I just found your channel tonight and this is probably the second video of yours that I've watched. Love the content almost as much as the sarcasm. You have a new sub, keep it up! Also, that western bowie is a beautiful thing, and I need one now!
Huge knives were common, multiple-purpose tools when the only firearm carried was a rifle. Blades were up to 12 inches in length. Once the revolver became a commonly carried tool, knife blades decreased to about 6-7 inches in length. This information is according to one of the Blade Annuals (I believe) in the early to mid-90s.

Fun stuff. I'm guilty of owning too many Cold Steel knives. A few work well and may be worth checking out. The Rajah 2, (big folder ) Marauder, and OSI San Mai both fixed blades with rubbery handle, and ridiculous rubber guards. ✌ 😃

You are in fine form on this video, Mr. AdvancedKnifeBro. I would never own a half-serrated knife (I also own the Wave Plus). And if I didn't require corrective lenses to wield a knife safely, I would be a 'safety-squinter' also.

Cold Steel understands the truth. That everything you thought was cool as a 14 year old is what's actually cool. Heavy metal, huge boobs, dinosaurs, guns, R-rated 80's action movies. Every man wants to EDC a Rajah II, but he denies himself satisfaction and joy for the flimsy social status of performative maturity.
The commentary on this and the shovel video earned a sub from the laughs
Love the narration editing and production in this video u just got yourself another sub sir

Your down to earth, and honest... I like you bro. Keep it up. (I liked and subscribed)
What is a large Bowie good for? Strap on 2 in open carry mode and strangers won't approach you for surveys, directions or useless small talk. I makes treks out in public far more peaceful.
I have a cold steel survival knife, mistakenly purchased from Amazon with a tanto point. I regretted it, but too proud to admit my mistake, I store it proudly somewhere in my basement.
I think you’d appreciate the AD10 and 4max because of their very very demko design profile’s and the smooth action they share with the AD15, although it’s more likely just those sneaky Teflon washers hidden by the shiny phosphor bronze washers. Also the Trailboss axe is an incredible value for its almost always on sale price of $21. It’s not outrageous in design or purpose but instead a really well made and functional tool. Unlike the POS kudu which I now have 3 of thanks to SMKW adding them to my order for free. I like to think that they really believe in the kudu and not that they’re sitting on a few hundred of them and haven’t sold a single one.
Tuff lite is for cost effectiveness but there's still a ton of people waiting for an upgraded version.

@@AdvancedKnifeBro True, the fact that they are so limited and sought after makes talking about them bit frustrating, I reckon. But even as someone who would almost never personally buy a GEC, I find your thoughts on them very interesting, especially since to me they all seem so extremely similar. And your videos are always a treat! And even if people won't necessarily be able to buy the same knives after watching your review, they might get another GEC and be very happy with it :)

You are so right about the broken skull. It is a perfect large folding knife, if you can accept the billboarding.
Good to hear you like the Talwar and Raja II as much as I do.
I appreciate your videos because I too suck at thinking in real time. The correct answers or responses always arrive twelve hours too late in the wee hours of the morning and so if I were to ever make youtube videos, which I am not going to, I would write them wryly in advance and make them look cool as a cold steel, like you do. Well done.
Definitely agree with the esparda! I have the large and xl one! Another favorite is the immortal for me. I do like the spartan and Luzon! Good vid!
I love my Western W49 Bowie knife. I've had it since the early 80's. As for the loose guard on yours. Best thing I can tell you is to get a bottle of super glue with a really small tip, like for model making. and put a few drops between the blade and guard. I had to do the same thing with the guard on my Cold Steel Grosse Messer.
You didn't need to call me out directly when you said "Thanks hypothetical guy who doesn't like Cold Steel but will watch a 15-20 minute video about them" but I appreciate the shout-out! The Tuff lite is the only one I can see myself carrying. The Natchez Bowie's looked alright too. But just because I don't enjoy the murdered-out black asthetic and the oversized everything, doesn't mean you need to stop enjoying it. Thanks for making the video. P.S. A few years back I brought up lending you a Tora Blades khukuri but never followed through on that. I'd like to make good on that promise if you're still interested.
You know what I realized about a minute 30 in to this video... I like this guy

Hands down, the most hilarious knife video I've ever seen 🤣. Oh, but I do use bowie knives a lot for bushcraft/camping(don't have a Natchez bowie, or any cold steel knives as of yet, but I haven't ruled it out). So, I guess I'm one of THOSE dudes. I'm still badass, though, if girth doesn't matter
I like the Ti Lite best because it is the least useful. It just looks so cool.
This was freaking hilarious dude. I got my first gold steel today a D 15 light at Midway USA for 50 bucks.
