    get fucked I some what agree with you but he is a martial arts instructor.He has several dvds he has trained with Dan inasinto ( probably missed spelled that) Ron balicki, Anthony de longis and I think james Keating and takes what he learned and uses it to teach martial arts. It dose not mean he is in peak physical condition but he dose have a wealth of knowledge and skill.

    You don't need a 300-400 dollar knife to have a good blade. Cold Steel is used by so many military personal around the world because they WORK. Yeah I got Bark Rivers, LT Wrights ect, but I own my fair share of Cold Steel knives and I love them all. There is just something about a knife that doesn't make me cringe when I need to use it, while knowing that it's gonna get the job done. Most folks are not gonna want to whip out their 1.000 dollar Busse Combat Geminis and risk scratching or messing it up. I support Cold Steel because they support our 2nd Amendment. I cannot say the same for Benchmade.

    I believe you can stab or cut someone trying to punch you...why not? Why is it cowardly if I didn't AGREE to the fight in the first place? Have you seen videos on here showing a street fight??? One guy gets knocked out...then the winner and/or his friends proceed to kick the downed man in the head over and over again. No weapons involved, but repeated kicks to your unconscious head are terribly life-threatening. I'm stabbing anyone every time, simply because I don't know nor can trust that if I lose the fist fight, my assailant will go, "Ok, he's down now...I win." and walk away...there's no guarantee he'll stop beating you even after your unconscious. Defend every physical encounter/fight like your life is on the line...cuz it most likely is.

    you are absolutely correct and not only that but if you carry a lethal weapon it is your job to use it first, not resort to punching. if he got extremely lucky and landed a knockout blow then of course you'd only assume he's taking your weapon and using and you and probably others. if any situation necessitates the use of any level of force on your part, it means you may use any level of force you see fit

    having 4 or 5 inch blades are so useful in combat... but in places that regulate small blades (such as Toronto, Canada.. from what i learnt online, maximum is 3.0 inch), might as well, run like hell... you'll risk more injury to yourself than you inflict on the attacker (depends on attacker of course). only time i used my knife is to break open a car and cut the seatbelt to get the toddler out.

    This explains why I always thought Cold Steel knives were impractical for edc. There not designed for everyday task. They're mainly designed for defensive purposes. Their knives still could use better steel and the fit & finish needs to improve. IMO, if you're gonna use a knife for self-defense. Don't unless your life is in extreme danger. Deploying a knife in a fight will be considered deadly force. Whether you were just trying to make "small cuts" to scare off the attacker, or not. Try pepper spray, or stun guns instead. Use a firearm in a life, or death situation. If your determined to carry a knife for defense. Then carry a fix blade.

  • @MPerry-ox9qb

    @MPerry-ox9qb

    9 жыл бұрын

    Elmax & S30V steel doesn't necessarily cost $200. It doesn't, even necessarily cost $100. Also, you don't have to declare a Cold Steel knife as a weapon. The owner of the company did it in this video. A prosecutor could use the video as evidence, that your Voyager is designed to be a weapon. A 5.5 inch blade is completely impractical for edc, A traditional knife can do 99% of edc task more modern knives do today. Apparently, you're the lumberjack considering you need a CS Voyager for everyday carry.

  • @MPerry-ox9qb

    @MPerry-ox9qb

    9 жыл бұрын

    That all depends on the style of the blade. CS blades are tactical. A small skinner fix blade is much smaller when your CS blade is expanded. And your folder is extremely long & bulky for the pocket. That's why it's impractical for edc.

    September 1,2017!! No more blade length, style or double edge limits in Texas. We can finally match the criminals LEAGALLY!!! I can finally carry my Bowie. If you're in your legal right (fear for your life) to use deadly force, then you use everything you got and don't hold back till you're safe. Just remember that you are the good guy, so keep it that way.

    He is right. A stab will penetrate organs based on the length of your blade. A slash opens you, and if it nicks a vein it could be serious, but a stab takes things to a whole new level. Why do you think KA-BARS are 7 inches? They wanna penetrate deep to the organs where the most damage can be done. If someone with an 11 inch bowie knife with a clip point is coming at you, then it's safe to say you better do whatever it takes to keep him at range and blow some big holes in them cause if he closes the distance it's more then likely that you will be meeting your maker. Anyone 20 feet or closer in an altercation with a knife has the advantage, especially if your gun is in it's holster and they are rushing you.

    you can get it in "4 and also the Ti Lite @ 6" is a lot of fun and totally carryable, I EDC it, or a Emerson Karambit ANd a USMC KA Bar Short and/or Cold Steel kobun, it's not that much weight and totally easy to draw and wield. Personally the Ka Bar Full Sized Tanto, the Ti Lite "6 and Ka Bar USMc Short, Emerson Karambit and Spyderco P'kal are my top favorite EDC fighting knives.

    Interesting, I agree that you should be able to carry for self defense and defend with minimal cuts,however, I doubt a judge in the UK would even listen to your arguement to do so in any case other than defending a gun threat.We have no right for self defense in this country or so it seems.One question though,...what happens if your attacker is wearing all that protective kit😉...I know the answer if you live in the States, out comes the 19.Stay safe everyone.

    From experience pepper spray beats a knife attack, usually. But I don't get people who carry knives in the open, such dooches of manhood? Ugh! I lived in South America and if you carry a knife in the open so manly macho as they do here in the U.S., someone WILL challenge you eventually. It's good for the ego. 😆 These guys had their fingers on the sheeth of their knives or matchettes ready to remove the cover, then slice... I always found them in the local market hacking each other's body parts. There's no way to unarm most of these guys. They were in shape from cutting grass 8 hours a day with their matchettes and knives. Better than a lawnmower. Lol

    I don’t like open carry in most situations. if you see a knife on me it’s usually just the pocket clip but Bowies , daggers and other fixed blade I carry completely concealed unless I am hunting , camping or scuba diving. I also carry pepper spray and a gun when I can.

    We're pretty violent here, yeah. But I carry my knife on me as an all purpose tool, and I was stabbed and assaulted in 2011. I don't want to have that happen again if I can help it. And yes, carrying a knife does act as a deterrent. My position on goes (As a liberal and a gun owner) is starting to change, though. I've sold most of my collection off.

    That's not true. Here in the U.S we have the highest rate of violent crime among all 1st world countries. We have an insanely high amount of mass shootings. Australia had a mass shooting 15 years ago, they banned guns. Not one single mass shooting since. (Take a note that I am a gun-owner, from my pic,before you attack me like you have been doing to everyone who disagrees with you)
