Lyndsey shares story of her husband, Ian Kirwan's, murder | Knife Crime | West Mercia Police

On March 5, 2022 Ian Kirwan said goodbye to his wife Lyndsey as he left their home in Redditch to buy a light switch. Ian never returned home.
When the 53-year-old arrived at the shops, he was confronted by a group of teenagers behaving anti-socially inside the Asda supermarket.
Ian challenged their behaviour, before a 14-year-old boy stabbed him in the heart with a knife.
Despite the efforts of member of the public, Ian was sadly pronounced dead outside the store. Lyndsey never saw her husband again.
Today (Monday 13 May) Lyndsey is speaking about that day publicly for the first time.
