I never answer my door for anyone. If Im expecting a friend, my friend has to announce themself before I open the door. If someone would say they r from electric or gas company, I have to call the company to see if they sent anyone out. I never give personal information over the phone either. If someone calls and says theyre from my bank, I hang up and call my bank directly to see if anyone from my bank has called.

If you got those officers and cars out on patrols and investigated more crimes people would feel safer, be safer and you'd not need such silly publicity stunts.

I'm sick of being robbed big time in February again in June and it will be in October I guess again and in-between night and day I hate it when I have to go out because I know there is a chance there'll be in again my mum and I went to town twice in two months the dog was ok when we came back the dog wouldn't go near us not even for a treat she was cowering to the floor so someone had been in there not on the wi_fi cameras on the phone others are but not them so someone's taking them off these people do everything from robbery gaining entry taking people's medication taking your post clothes shoe coats make_up nail varnish creamed deodrent shampoo conditioners we will have nothing in a bit take everything get in to people's Bank accounts direct debit they poison people's pets so they can rob the place they have just come in and grabbed something and gone these people should not be walking the streets but they are because the police took no notice of me I told them everything but what a waste of time we should not have to put up with this it's wrong

the old woman did not ask for ID and should have called the electric company to ask if this was to be done or what. this is wrong and not clever but will cost them their soul in the end if they did not make it right with people. YOU NEVER LEAVE MONEY OUT TO BE SEEN by anyone and I would and do watch any repairmen when they come to my place if they sneezed Id be right there to see if I had to clean up any thing. I also keep any jewelry in the bank box so no one gets it till I die

I never open my door to anyone I'm not expecting. If anyone knocks I open my bedroom window to see who it is and if it's sales people, religious nuts, collectors etc they get the bums rush so rudely they never come back.

The UK's police conducted a thorough study of distraction burglaries a couple decades ago. Most of these burglars prey on victims who are white, female, and 78 years old. It is seldom they target younger or middle-aged people, unless such a target has a mobility problem, a handicap. The average age of the burglars is 30 something. They are usually white, preying on whites. Most learned their wicked craft from their parents. Only a small percentage, about 5 percent, are ever apprehended. Their modes of operation of very similar, sometimes identical in England and the U.S. For example, following a postal delivery, someone knocks. Assuming it is the postal worker knocking for a package delivery, since the regular mail was just dropped off, the target opens the door. The perpetrator identifies himself as a utility worker or a contractor for a local utility company. A common tactic is to claim they have a contract to trim trees along an easement and require access to the back yard. The perpetrator assumes the backdoor alarm is disabled while his accomplice chats up the victim in a corner of the back yard. It could be a neighbor's trees that require trimming. One of the perpetrators will make reference to a news article regarding safety and a recent mishap to lend her narrative credibility. She will say they need to place warning flags at various places near electrical utilities. While chatting her up, the perpetrator will point to another yard further from the house, saying casually, "Oh, there's my partner now." That is the distraction, because her partner at that very moment is very close by, in the opposite direction from which the partner is pointing, slipping into the home through the backdoor, the door with an alarm temporarily disabled by the homeowner while she went into the backyard. Male perpetrators will often work alone; whereas females most commonly have a male partner. They say they will return the following day. They have no intention of returning to do any pruning at all, since they were only there to steal. The sad victim will discover within a few hours that she is hundreds if not thousands of dollars or pounds poorer as a result of that encounter with "contractors." They will steal cash, cameras, and diamond wedding rings. Search for the UK's police report online. It is truly worth reading to become more aware of the methods employed by these types of vile criminals. (Also posted on a Cleveland channel discussing a burglary upon a 103-year-old citizen.)

I’m so so sorry to see this, my heart goes out to Felix’s family. I really hope that this message will be seen by anyone tempted to send hurtful and hate messages to anyone and make them think again. Hopefully those responsible will understand the depth of what they have done and that they will be proactive in warning others not to do it too. Rest in peace dear boy x

Protecting people from.harm ...what a joke ....they're too scared of political correctness policies , people with cameras and if you question them.when you know they're liars you'll end up getting a good kicking or charged with a non existant law....let's look at telford, a city were the vast majority of these jokers have disabling conditions including blindness deafness sticky fingers and loss of memory , not what youd want from those tasked in protecting us. Then theres west Mercia's cover up of those breaching hunting laws ...talk about corrupt. Now let's look at officers employed by west mercia being rapist abusers thieves violent and corrupt ...based on population size they're comparable to metropolitan and Thames valley combined
