Plastic surgery?? Mariah is an ageless Queen. How is that even relevant to this performance? She’s one the greatest vocalists-songwriter-producer of all time. The Songbird Supreme, who’s inspired an entire generation of singers including Ariana. Mariah’s a vocal technician and Songwriting genius. Her beyond incredible range, that angelic tone, perfect riffs and runs, agility, resonance. Not to mention her unmatchable whistle register capabilities. That she made seem above expectations. She is and has always been on a level of her own. Has #19 number one hits more than any solo artist in music history, being the first singer in music history to debut at #1 on the Billboard’s Hot 100, Best selling artist of the millennium (1990-1999), Artist of the decade (00’s), has written/co-written almost every song from her albums. The list goes on and on… 👑👏 this performance showed nothing vocal perfection from both LEGENDS ✨

Yall Im sorry but you are really not qualified to critique vocals. This performance was flawless and she resonated everything and did melismas with speed and precision. Just because her having emotion on her face when she is singing vocal suicide songs due to the level of concentration needed doesnt mean she s struggling 💀💀💀💀 and her hand movements are just her thing and she kind of visualizes the way she moves through notes and this is again not a sign of struggle, and Whitney and Celine and many other vocalists do the same. And commenting on her looks was just uncalled for, irrelevant and straight up disrespectful.

Literally most of the video is talking abt mariahs looks idk why everyone is obsessed over the way she looks and doesn't bother to actually bother to listen to her vocals and yet they still try and call her a mediocre singer,As for the comparisons to Whitney, Whitney does the exactly same thing where she bounces up and down on stage and shallows the mic. Both are legendary singers and are on THE SAME LEVEL Whitney isn't better than mariah nor is mariah better than Whitney which is why they're in the vocal trinity. So I would hope you keep your appearance judgements to yourself and rather focus on mariahs vocals in future videos (if you choose to do another mariah reaction) because mariah is a legendary vocalist and one of the best singers to ever exist. I don't mean this as a hate comment towards you but I still see the remarks on her looks as very irrelevant and irritating and half of it is based on media speculations rather than truth so if you're going to continue making these remarks I would advise you listen to mariahs story where you'd find the truth but anyway I'm done ranting so have a nice day

This man shouldn't open his mouth because he just talked nonsense... he needs to learn a lot about voice, timbre, vocal range, melismas, whistles, finally the greatness of MARIAH's voice, her extreme vocal and technical complexity... not forgetting and many don't even remember, from the excellent songwriter, who even gave her a spot in the songwriters hall of fame… not just a unique singer, but a great ARTIST!!!

I agree 100% There are some reaction videos of mariah I just can't bare to watch because they are only commenting her on her looks and not music. Like they will go out of their way to only watch videos where she is wearing something "sexy". It frustrates me to the boneee.

What I love about Mariah is how she uses her whole body especially her hands to conduct herself while singing. Her hands move in the same direction as the notes she sings because she actually makes music. Written and produced her whole discography! And she deploys very different techniques because she has had nodules since she was a teenager which are every singers nightmares but she has always sang around them and they allow her to use different tones in her voice. React to If It's Over at The Grammys or Mariah's Vanishing Reharsal!

Gurl, I don't know what clips you've been watching but Whitney does alot with her face as well. Alot of singer's do... Now I'd like to see Whitney do what Mariah does and keep a straight face or any singer. Y'all seem to not realize they're not the same, they don't sing the same. Mariah does more vocally then Whitney and pretty much 90% of every other singer when she's singing.

DONT set up my mother again like this💀✋ and PS miss Whitney Houston CAN AND HAS SANGG with a straight face many times in her career and can sustain and resonate well into the top of the 5th octave

These two are funny. They obviously have no background in music or vocals. Their comments are opposite of every vocal coach who has ever reacted to a Mariah video. In Mariah’s prime it was very effortless for her. Mariah and Ariana should never be mentioned in the same context. Vocal ability is natural to Mariah, whereas for Ariana it is all about her mimicking and trying so hard. She doesn’t have the power, tone or agility that Mariah has. Mariah has always been known to emote physically when she sings, as many other singers have, including Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, etc.

Can you just try to praise Mariah without disrespecting Ariana? Mariah is a legendary vocalist but Ariana Grande is a GREAT vocalist too. She is not “trying so hard”, initially, Ariana is literally a trained Broadway singer.

Oh, Whitney sang this song as simply as the original version. Mariah's rendition is far more complicated and vocally demanding. Plus, she has the habit of using the hand gestures. It's not that she struggles here.

Whitney is SUPER emotive. It’s not effortless for whitney either Whitney’s veins in her neck were almost always popping out. Mariah was not straining here.

Dan is so hot. But in answer to your question, today's general public hitmakers are Taylor Swift and Adele (even if you don't like them personally). PS - Mariah sings differently to Whitney. Whitney favours belting and pristine head voice. Mariah normally does breathy light vocals and then transitions to belts and uses more melisma more often, hence it is more intricate and requires greater concentration. Both are goddesses, in any event.

Maybe before, men believed that it was ok to refer to a woman's body, and no one would say anything, but today we know that's it's not ok at all to do what you did. Every person has the right to do whatever they want to feel great with themselves, and you dare to say Mariah looks like a lizard? How disrespectful and full of crap. Mariah is so beautiful and healthy. Her interventions are minimum, but even if she wanted to transform completely, that's up to her and we are not to disrespect a woman's decision regarding her own body. Watch her Tokyo dome performances and see how she struggles 😂

I don't know who's really popular at the moment but I think you should be listening to Brandi Carlile and Jack Savoretti 😍 they're great. I think Pink is consistently great and recently liked some of Rita Ora's songs. I also recommend Walk Off the Earth. I probably only listen to English speaking music 10% of the time at the moment. On the Latin side Sebastián Yatra is really popular and does a range of styles. I also love CNCO and Carlos Rivera. 😍💕

First the girl don’t know anything and it’s funny and the guy agreeing with her based on a video performance which MARIAH Killed is hilarious. Whitney couldn’t do what mariah was capable vocally and FYI you both, mariah displays and sings way more complicated vocal arrangments and notes than whitney. Whitney and Mariah songs are miles different, whitney’s are straight to the point while mariah’s like a VOCAL OLYMPIC. Also this is just one of the few performances they had for the song and lastly, whitney barely belted in comparison to mariah so wtf y’all both talking about? 💀
