LUTEOLIN - its like QUERCITIN SUPERCHARGED! 💨🚀

Ойын-сауық

LUTEOLIN - Its like QUERCITIN SUPERCHARGED!
Luteolin is found in apples, cabbage, carrots, green peppers, celery, dandelion leaves, and in herbal teas like rosemary, chamomile, oregano, and peppermint.
Luteolin is a potent anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, good for the heart, anti-cancer, anti-histamine, anti-asthmatic, great for brain inflammation and conditions associated with chronic brain inflammation and brain fog, and more...
Luteolin is superior to Quercitin in its actions and abilities in my opinion.

    I take 250mg of Luteolin a day. Love it, super easy to take as its a small soft gel (at least the brand I use). As a bodybuilder in my mid 40's, I will take any advantage I can take.

    Great information. Thank you for sharing! Does it have any side effects? I read something about it disrupting progesterone function. Could that also impact thyroid hormone function?

  • @DrJasonPickel

    @DrJasonPickel

    Hi, this was drawn from a study that was performed using synthetic progesterone - "progestin". The authors then correlated that if it blocks progestin, then it may block progesterone. This is not a correct correlation and there is no evidence that it interferes with natural progesterones. In fact, the end of the study - the conclusion really tells the authors negative view upon anything natural. Sad. Now this info is spread all over the internet that it interferes with progesterone - untrue. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3851288/

    I am doing the same at the moment. Have you decided by a specific product yet? Seems like there isn't a huge variety of brands out there. I also read here ( www.mastcellmaster.com/documents/2021-01/Luteolin-supplements-All-that-glitters-is-not-gold-Biofactors-2020.pdf ) that a liposomal formulation might be better (much better absorbed), but then it seems like that all the brands they list with such formulation comes from the same manufacturer, which damaged my trust a bit. I'm also a bit puzzled why it is quite difficult to find luteolin supplements.

    David from nootropic experts say that bioavaiability is very low. Artichoke extract has luteolin and provides a better bioavaiability. What is better pure luteolin or artichoke extract?

  • @DrJasonPickel

    @DrJasonPickel

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi, Thanks for watching! I agree that bioavailability can be low. Artichoke is okay and anytime you use a whole food you will get more, but the sources with highest concentrations are radishes, green peppers, serrano peppers, green hot chili peppers, chicory greens, and celery - in that order. I haven't seen the research that artichoke is more bioavailable, and it definitely isn't as concentrated as these listed. The "pure luteolin" in certain forms may be more absorbable - this study: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8206097/ found that the methylated derivatives of flavones displayed five- to eightfold higher permeability in the Caco-2 cells (colon cells). It was also found that these methyl moieties provided substantial protection from hepatic metabolic activity compared to the non-methylated flavones. This increased metabolic stability of these compounds is owed to the methyl groups masking the hydroxy groups and limits their ability to become conjugated. I choose to use this whole foods supplement where the whole foods are pre-digested by enzymes before they enter your system allowing for higher bioavailability - this is the formulation (it is a formula - not all luteolin) - optimalhealthsystems.link/Protect Great question and I hope this helps!

    Hey what was the recommended cycle for this ? Was it 90 days one week off ?

  • @DrJasonPickel

    @DrJasonPickel

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi, there is no researched cycle that I know of, but you body adapts - like with anything. So a week off should be plenty to reset. It can vary per person and the state of your health, and your goal with the supplement.

    Great point! Yes, so it is #1 extremely important to have a healthy gut and diet, but also the form is important - I prefer taking it from a non-synthetic/whole foods form of supplement. One study also showed that taking it with Chrysanthemum morifolium extract increased the absorption by almost 50%. It would also be important to increase Liver health and support the COMT gene for this - P5P will do this. The one I use is: optimalhealthsystems.com/essential-protect#code=OHSPICKEL I appreciate your excellent comment!
