Lung Cancer (lung carcinoma) is a cancer of lung tissue. There are multiple types of lung cancer, separated according to small cell lung carcinoma and non-small cell lung carcinoma. Lung cancer has characteristic common signs and symptoms including hemoptysis and constitutional symptoms, but different types of lung cancer can also cause weird and atypical signs and symptoms due to paraneoplastic syndromes. In this lesson, we discuss these strange and atypical symptoms that can occur in lung cancer.

PLEASE NOTE:
I made a mistake in not being specific enough when discussing paraneoplastic syndromes and Lambert-Eaton Syndrome. For instance, in the discussion of Lambert-Eaton syndrome, I should have said "the cancer is leading to the production of autoantibodies" instead of "the cancer is producing autoantibodies". Antibodies are produced by the patient's immune system, generally against components of the cancer, with some antibodies also reactive against other non-cancerous and healthy tissue. My apologies for the confusion.

Thank u for this video…. I unfortunately lost my father to lung cancer in 2019 days before Valentine’s Day….worst days of my life however I was lucky enough to be able to take care of him at home. It’s truly devastating to watch him slowly die a lil more everyday…he was & will always be my hero ♥️ Sending prayers to whoever is going thru having cancer or caring for someone with cancer…my heart goes out to you God Bless ✝️. R.I.P Dad 😔

So sorry for your loss. May your father rest in peace.🙏✝️🕊
Your videos are important, remember that any time you feel down, think of the loads of people you've helped understand their condition better, maybe even aiding their health or saving their lives.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Such a wonderful explanation
I quit over 40 years ago. I'm still getting problems. Quit Now
I have smoked for 47 years. I have been coughing so much in the past year. My CT scan shows my lungs are clear. Either Baylor Scott and White doesn’t want me to be sick due to my insurance, or I’m just crazy. I am no where near crazy. I’m so tired every day and I’m prescribed 60 mgs of Adderall a day. I’m 62, almost 63. Do they really think I take 60 mgs a day? My cardiologist just did a work up, very thorough too and just found my cholesterol is too high. I have 2 inhalers and a can of oxygen I purchased for myself because I can hardly breathe. I’m meeting with my primary care doctor next week. I’m hoping to get more testing.

Ask your doctor about potentially taking n-acetyl-cysteine or NAC for short. It has many benefits for the lungs and can be purchased for cheap. But ask your dr. In case you have any contraindications for taking it. It’s not a prescription. It’s also good for the liver and a brain nootropic. But can’t stress enough if your dr. Knows your medical Hx well ask them if they’d recommend you try it.
No one cares anyway they won’t even test me if i go to the doctor and have all this they’ll be like ok bye have a nice day you’re fine
Reduced lung capacity. See BREATH book by James Nestor. Also, see Dr Sircus' books on iodine, bicarbonate, magnesium. To your health✨
How can you possibly Not mention smoking marijuana as an incredibly important risk factor . Marijuana has been clearly demonstrated as much much More carcinogenic than Tobacco smoking .. multiple articles in The British Journal of Respiratory Disease 2012
